  1. I hear you, but with Tom Mac he seems to have some absolute clangers. The ones where they come clean of the outside of the boot and go nowhere near where he was intending. But that would be literally the only criticism I have on his game. He beats his man, runs off them a lot, reads the play well, just needs to clean up his disposal.
  2. Machine. Will wear a skull cap and fake sleeve tattoos to the next home game to show my appreciation. Disclaimer: will not wear skull cap and fake sleeve tattoo.
  3. Interesting comparison. The way I see it is until he bulks up considerably and can run a game out it is hard for us to judge him, and only the football department can judge whether he is doing all he can to bulk up and get fit.
  4. Alastair Lynch can barely construct a coherent sentence. Did I hear right when they said Jess is running only her second marathon today? Pretty amazing effort to run a qualifying time in her first ever marathon if so.
  5. Definitely, but to list a team simply by going through picks after ours and slotting in the best player from the remainder of the draft is a fruitless exercise. For example, we might have stuffed up pick 19, and someone will say 'and you overlooked player X' who was actually taken at pick 50 meaning he was obviously not highly rated and everyone overlooked him. That was what I was referring to and it could be done to any club in the competition. But by all means go through and scrutinise our selections, just not in that way.
  6. Looked at the thread title and thought great, now Essendon are getting stuck into us about tanking.
  7. Tell me about it. Listing a long list of players or a team that were looked over is the most pointless exercise anyone can do.
  8. Mike Sheahan on the pre game getting stuck in. Thinks this is as big a game as we have played in for a long time, and if we lose we need to have a long hard look at ourselves. Well Mike, I can tell you the club needs to have a long hard look at itself regardless of today's outcome and I actually think this afternoon's result is close to as unimportant as it can get. Also said that tanking is when clubs don't put teams out there that have the best chance of winning, which again is completely wrong.
  9. Hopefully a lesson for anyone who read too much into the Jarman comments. Great news though. Nathan Jones has been immense this year, and the ones who stand up week in, week out when the team is getting thumped are worth their weight in gold. Howe has been good this year, and if he had kicked straight it would have taken his season to another level. As I have said in the past, I am convinced he is not actually a bad kick, just has his confidence shot when lining up for goal at the moment, and hopefully it will come around.
  10. Spot on. Would right my own speil on the situation but that is pretty much it word for word.
  11. Let me get this straight...so a current player who is going to get the arse is somehow responsible for Brock McLean going on On The Couch and being peppered with questions about us tanking just so Mark Neeld will have a tougher job coaching in the next few years with less draft picks...and I'm the one kidding myself. I agree there could be some sort of motives at play from people in the media, but to say it is from a rat inside the club to harm Neeld is just ridiculous. If this has been done to try and bring anyone down, it certainly isn't Neeld...I would be looking a lot higher the MFC food chain to someone who for whatever reason seems to have made some enemies along the way.
  12. But what affect would any possible ramifications have on Neeld??? Has absolutely nothing to do with him.
  13. There is no way this can be proved, and if there ever were sanctions, there would be a lot of other teams going down with us.
  14. I think 99% of the time we were simply doing as you say and it was just of a case of winning not being our priority. But I think we are burying our heads in the sand if we look at the Richmond game and can't see that as the game remained in the balance, the coaches box actively tried to go out of their way to lose that game.
  15. I never said tanking was the sole reason for the cultural issues, I said it was one of a myriad of reasons. Many of which, clubs like Hawthorn and West Coast don't have. I agree it is definitely not as simple as just saying we tanked, now we have a shitty culture.
  16. Hope it does. But I have no confidence in the club to get it right, and even if you add a Judd and a Dangerfield to the list, it doesn't change the huge cultural issues at the club.
  17. Of course the AFL know it happened, they just have nothing to gain for making a huge issue out of it, but rather just deny it and quietly change the priority pick rules. Sadly ironic that tanking, among a myriad of other reasons, is crippling our club today when we are meant to be reaping the rewards of it. Karma has come around and severely [censored] slapped us in the face.
  18. You must of missed the part where I said since the bye, he has been our second best player. I am saying he is performing nowhere near as bad as people on here are making out.
  19. Couldn't really give a sh!t to be honest. The line about him investigating us rather than the other way sounds like a break up where the bloke will claim he ended it, just to make himself sound better with his mates. Don't think he can stand the idea that people think he got declined for a job.
  20. FFS, behind Jones, he has been our best player since the bye. Him and Moloney are lads, and a lot of people let that affect how harshly they judge these 2. He obviously is far from perfect, but he is hell of a lot closer than 90% of our list.
  21. At least Balotelli's antics could give a membership boost.
  22. Obviously, but your comment still infers the you believe the club will delist/trade all those listed players, but they won't.
  23. What makes you say that. From all reports I have heard he is desperate to get on with his footy career.
  24. While I pretty much agree with the names you have listed, I get the sense this is a list of people you would move on at the end of the season, not necessarily who will be moved on as suggested by the 'all will be gone at seasons end'. For instance, I don't think there is any chance they are going to delist Bartram. Bail being another who will stay.
  25. Every year he gets bought up, but he is no good. And don't read into the performance of any of the Swans players in the reserves...that league is woefully bad. EDIT: just remembered they now play in the new NEAFL, which is nowhere near as bad as the old ACT league they used to play in. Always remember hearing about some no-name Swan racking up 50 touches or kicking 10 in that league.
