Trade Targets
Dogs dont quite have the Dees problem, a much nice one indeed, the incumbent is holding back the future - we are trying to land the future

Oliver Trade Rumours
His ability to win the hard ball places him well to play inside the centre square rather than outside it much more than I thought in March

My 3 word player analysis V Essendon
It seems like sacrifice acts & pressure acts are back the last 2 weeks. Very enjoyable

What they are saying at Windy Hill
My long held belief, it isnt who wins the tap out, it only matters once it hits the ground

Kozzie Pickett - 100 games
Finally took the hanger - officially now the sky is the limit!

"Very sore" Max Gawn in doubt for next Saturday vs Essendon
We recruited Fullarton - time to play him. We miss Max in the ruck duels however even more in the back 50. We didnt look as confident when we wasnt there in Q4 yesterday. Another great challenge - bring it on

My 3 word player analysis V West Coast
I want him to start running assertively with the ball when he gets it and put the defence on its heels. I understand he is playing to instruction however too often he gets it and stops. Its hard to offer damage when doing that constantly.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs West Coast
Great post - I agree. Maybe it was knowing they should win however these guys all looked likely players. Kolt's swag and Turner jumping at everything. Was very enjoyable. I also thought the defensive pressure particularly in the second was stuff I had not seen for a while. An enjoyable win

Are we fit enough?
Having watched many other teams live this year my view a month ago was no and now you add a number of younger players who wont be able to run out games as well as veterans, IMHO it is definitely no right now. Still Friday was a good step forward and don't discount some of our experienced players may be showing some fatigue from gruelling finals games

Please get off Clarry's back. Show some respect!
Top 3 Dees in my lifetime. Always felt this year was more about getting through it in a positive mindset and back to AFLFA Champion status in 2025. Can't have the preseason he had a deliver to the same elite level we have been so lucky to witness.

CASEY: RD 13 vs North Melbourne VFL
I wouldnt be advocating debuts on a Friday night V the Lions. This one could get very ugly. At best keep the rookies who played on Saturday night. Plenty of time later in the year to debut.

How typically Melbourne Brodie Grundy
Ive cheered him and James on this year. They made career choices as we all would. Still a loss but looking forward

Dees Down But Not Out
I don't think the challenge is the injuries, more wear and tear that is not obviously evident and the forward line. Don't mind the thought of managing some players this year and going hard in 2025 if we don't turn things around in the next 2 weeks

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood
Couldnt be asking for more form him. Very dependable and deserves some praise. Team has never been the same since he did his foot in 2022

Deep Midfield Issues
Cant keep reflecting on past decisions, no doubt some decisions look incorrect in hindsight. The key now is recruiting real FA talent and trading in the right players, not top up. I know every club is trying to do that however if we dont win well in October with trades and signings, 2025 will be another disappointing year
