  1. Yes - every time we get stopped on the half back flank and bomb long it’s only a question of when the opposition score. For mine it’s clear, we must win the clearances to win the game. Our attack must come from winning in the middle
  2. Yep I mentioned this earlier. My hands couldn’t stay dry and I was in the stands. Very very humid
  3. Exactly - can’t do it alone.
  4. Lever Hunter Oliver Brown Fritsch Bowey - more because he tried to take the game on
  5. Been my highlight of the year to date
  6. Pretty much it. Was there, lions were manic and Dees laconic. Was very humid it had to be said so conditions had to be adapted to however, 5 mins in the result was obvious. Can’t remember being smashed in clearances so much with this group
  7. Brilliant win - great job all year long Casey Demons!
  8. Agree - thanks for the service

Oliver, May, Trac, Angus, Petty, Viney having fantastic seasons. Lots of game time for other players which will pay off over the next 12-18 months, membership, Casey, finishing 16-6 and now back to being a hunter in 2023 - bring it on
  10. Having seen both finals in Melbourne last weekend pace is a serious factor. Would like to see Bowey back. I subscribe to the sentiment that radical changes will be an off-season focus
  11. Spot on. That would be worse. The whole bomb it to the pocket as I understand it is so the defence can structure up. Very defensive offence
  12. Totally agree. They have lacked a chf option since TMac went out. You need a chf to win big games on the MCG.
  13. Hope he gets off - im only interested in beating teams who have their best possible team in

I look at it this way, the doubled over hands on hips test. At half time we had a 2:1 ratio of players doubled over and hands on hips. What this means to me is yes we are tired. This may not be because we are less fit - it may be the result of getting everyones best for 20 weeks + a number of weeks of less than 7 days between games. Agree pre finals bye is critical

And i cant wait for that time
  16. None for me and im still a little in shock - anyone else like that?
  17. Quoting myself with an update - yes confirmed - best team for 57 years.
  18. Great thing is, this club doesn't care one bit for individual awards!!!
  19. this may have been mentioned previously on Demonland however this team has had the tendency to kick goals in quick succession across the year. Quite common to kick 4 goals in 10 mins, 6 in 15 mins and tear games open. Thankfully they saved the best till last

Yes id like to hear from Chris now. Was seemingly the one Dees voice on call in shows in the dark days! HAHA Weid and Hunt -- he did love juice!
  21. Watched since late 80s. For me it's Gawn, Stynes, Oliver, Petracca, Lyon, in that order. Don't think it ends up that way.

Exactly - defence isn't always pretty however it wins flags. So happy for them, especially Hibbo. Came out of the Essendon saga and at one point this year I thought he might miss out. Well done all

Amen to this. Getting the basics right!!!!
  24. I'm going to have to watch all the aforementioned goals again to decide. I would also make special mention of the Jack Watts goal v Collingwood. Being behind the goals at the punt road end the roar was so significant, at the time I got the sens like we are building something here. We were for sure!!!!
