Darren Burgess Potential Return to Victoria
Waltham33 replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
The most important loss from our 21 premiership team IMHO. Never has our list been fitter than when he was here -
Turn his back on significant interest - what reporting. I say he is staying where his interests lie

Would have thought Kentfield would be given more than 6 months

I look at it as trading known quantities for unknown quantities

6 Viney 5 Langdon 4 Gawn 3 Turner 2 Rivers 1 TMac

No they are lining up the story that says we give out contracts too easily
-
Preseason - it was 2019 like with the volume of players in rehab. Can't play a season in this gruelling league with so many underdone - bring on 2025 - we will be back
-
Didnt see that GWS won by 10 goals in the paper. Maybe Goody is sending a message

First quarter centre square stuff
Waltham33 replied to The Taciturn Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Bang on - we have a lot of young legs that are maturing into new roles or are maturing full stop. Good signs for 2025 though -
6.Oliver 5.Viney 4.McVee 3.Rivers 2. Langdon 1. Chin

Dogs dont quite have the Dees problem, a much nice one indeed, the incumbent is holding back the future - we are trying to land the future

His ability to win the hard ball places him well to play inside the centre square rather than outside it much more than I thought in March

It seems like sacrifice acts & pressure acts are back the last 2 weeks. Very enjoyable

My long held belief, it isnt who wins the tap out, it only matters once it hits the ground

21 votes - Goodwin - seriously impressive from gameplan, match-ups and huddle intensity. Focused on shutting down Bombers danger men. Brilliant. Now for the players 6- Langdon 5- ANB 4- McVee 3- Rivers 2- Windsor 1- Clarry

LATE CALL: CAM PEDERSEN WAS A MARVEL

A great team man - played any role asked. BTW how short a team did we play with that day -
Finally took the hanger - officially now the sky is the limit!

"Very sore" Max Gawn in doubt for next Saturday vs Essendon
Waltham33 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
We recruited Fullarton - time to play him. We miss Max in the ruck duels however even more in the back 50. We didnt look as confident when we wasnt there in Q4 yesterday. Another great challenge - bring it on -
I want him to start running assertively with the ball when he gets it and put the defence on its heels. I understand he is playing to instruction however too often he gets it and stops. Its hard to offer damage when doing that constantly.

Great post - I agree. Maybe it was knowing they should win however these guys all looked likely players. Kolt's swag and Turner jumping at everything. Was very enjoyable. I also thought the defensive pressure particularly in the second was stuff I had not seen for a while. An enjoyable win

Contributed well today - good to watch live
-
6 - Rivers - long may he become a mainstay in the middle 5- JVR - worrying couple of shots though or maybe it was swirly at the Richmond end 4 - Windsor - dominant 3- Tmac 2 - Kozzie 1 - Langdon

Having watched many other teams live this year my view a month ago was no and now you add a number of younger players who wont be able to run out games as well as veterans, IMHO it is definitely no right now. Still Friday was a good step forward and don't discount some of our experienced players may be showing some fatigue from gruelling finals games

Please get off Clarry's back. Show some respect!

Top 3 Dees in my lifetime. Always felt this year was more about getting through it in a positive mindset and back to AFLFA Champion status in 2025. Can't have the preseason he had a deliver to the same elite level we have been so lucky to witness.
