I would not mind seeing the AFL strategy pertaining to overall league expansion that clearly indicates a vision and how talent pools will support this.

Not many would say the comp is struggling, in some key areas including talent pool I definitely agree with you and im mostly about game standard, not who has a team, TV shows etc

Can't have a start date without the ground. Do more work on the ground and revisit s other have said and at the same time develop a long term vision for how many teams in the AFL, future of Academies, compromised drafts etc.
