It seems it's the only way things change now is when the media do or don't make a big deal about things. Stars thumping players head high...no big deal Don't like the rules....complain about them enough and they get changed Fagan and the Lions probably need to go ballistic enough about the umpiring that the media will make it an issue for the AFL to have to deal with. It's a blight on our game.

I would love to see the cats get absolutely crushed but I would love to see us doing the crushing. 2018 finals win over the cats was a real highlight for me. I'm vexed. I really hate Geelong and I've put money on the giants before Hogan got pulled. Vexed!

We are the best team in the comp this year. So, we must make the Granny. I can handle losing the Granny and still be satisfied with the season but to not make the final this year the way we have played would be crushing.

Mine didn't. Grew up in Brisbane during the Lions glory years and never could understand why they were forced to barrack for such a crappy team. Then we went down to the MCG for the 150th year celebration match against Collingwood. We ended up with seats in the Collingwood cheer squad. Fights broke out around them between magpie supporters. This experience galvanised them. We lost of course. So stoked they stuck fat. They're both up in Nth Qld and loving the way we are playing now. Very proud of them.

We complain so much about the standard of umpiring. Why would you be an ump? It's about as attractive as being an ICU nurse in Sydney. We have to look after them and start paying them properly to raise the standard. Just another reason why the grub should go

Loved the vision of the Lions warm down post game. Everyone walking in circles while being drilled by their fitness team to bend and stretch out. The clown Mathieson was just walking around in the circle chatting to some bloke not even participating. Arrogance personified.

For me he was BOG tonight. Just relentless. Never gave in. He was what finals footy is all about. Just loving our captain right now

I'm with you @Dr. Gonzo I feel for both of these guys. During the dark days, Jones going in and under and getting smashed Jetta matching up on taller players and having the ball come in at warp speed a few hundred times a game. Hope we include them both in ceremony somehow but unfortunately I don't think there's a spot for them in the finals.

Viney was back to his manic best. He's got his faults but the bloke would run through a brick wall in big games. Some amazing smothers and chasing. I love Kozzies work and just watching him play but bloody hell Spargo is underrated. Two goals in the last QTR. He's our smallest player and he tackles like a man posessed. I remember kids like that at school. They were small and they would hit you like a freight train. Charlie has a point to prove. He's not flash but he's as hard as nails and super smart. Best win ever! The lid is off and I'm going to embrace the next four weeks as something to really cherish with this team. Go Dees and thanks to everyone on Demonland for their company.
