Jeff has always been one of my favourite MFC players. He has carried our ruck division for many years as well as battling his painful shin problem and the horrific facial injury of 2005. The winning goal against the Bulldogs in 2005 to get us into the finals- a great memory! Despite our 'season from hell' he is still second on hitouts and I think ranks number one for ruckman in Champion Data stats Congratulations Jeff! I'll be there to cheer you on this weekend.

Come on guys-Sheedy is not our man. I admire what he has done in footy but even he admits he is hard to get along with and he is very eccentric, almost embarrassing in what he says sometimes, and I am not that sure about his recruiting choices. I can't see his image as part of MFC at all.

This is what I have felt for a long time is his problem. He has had to change his style and has therefore lost his intimidation tactics. As well how can any of our backs or forwards improve with out a consistent team around them.

That's sounds closer to what it could be- trying to keep it hushed whilst achieving a plan of action behind the scenes.

A good thought re another thread- Sandy needs to qualify a few more players for the finals. So a chance to test a few in the Seniors and see what they are made of and a chance to get Sandy to the Grand Final again.

I had the same thought re Jones when I read the article. Maybe we need to remind the selectors of their own rules or ask the press their opinion. Has anyone ever been nominated in two seasons before? I actually loved the jumpers from last week!

Rogue: re Miller: Then why are you dropping him? - maybe you didn't criticize but I am assuming the implication because it has been a consistent comment from many posters. McLean/Davey -No they are not fighting for the same position it was just an example of the unfair dropping of Miller. He has only been back for one game. He can't have the rungs on the board yet. The tall is for Carrol if he doesn't come up. Ferguson used to play back- we need to see what he can do in the last few weeks. Yes hopefully Warnock and Garland will soon get a shot as well. I suggested Bruce or Pickett for Petterd.

Why does Miller always get the criticism? IMO he played a better game than Aaron and Brock. Everyone loves to have Miller as their scapegoat! I would replace Petterd with Bruce or Pickett, and maybe give Ferguson a try if Carrol is not up to it. We need to give him a chance to see if he can consistently perform at AFL level. By the way maybe Aaron is injured and needs to take some time out- he kicked a brilliant goal but stayed very close to the goal square and we saw none of his flair, and run and carry across the middle.

FitZ - I noticed the long ad breaks for seven as well as usually when watching the recording I fast forward them for a 12 second count but it was more like 25 seconds. However they didn't do it after every goal so maybe it evens out during the match. Kryton I don't know how you can watch a replay of the match and not know the results first- that would kill me to watch knowing I could just check and see first and know whether to relax and enjoy and avoid going through hell for 2 hours.

For sure it was great to see them play today BUT we were playing Carlton. Against more experienced teams they may not get as much time to shine. That will be the true test of their future for us.

With Rivers still out and Bizzel playing okay we need some stability and maturity in the backline. Also Ferguson needs another go to prove himself at the top level. I would bring him back before Buckley. Also TJ has Achilles problems before the game and probably only played for ND's last game. A painful injury!

Agree- no tanking- pride for goodness sake. The kids need to play but in a winning culture or at least a red hot go! I am glad I dumped Fevola from my Dream Team early this morning.
