  1. The biggest worry is this week's game as after all the media hype and attention he going to be fired up for the match against us. He will have a point to prove to all! Let's worry about trades in Trade week.
  2. My mind tells me it is only a game but my emotions are a wreck this morning. The footy God's were again against us last night. I still don't get it why ND had to go and I don't want any response on that from the ND haters. They can use the many other threads we have had on here. I endured the parking horrors( an hour driving around Telstra), Ticketmaster problems and queues despite having pre-booked my seats, a seat so high up that by the time I got down to Level 1 the farewell to ND had been done and gone. Stupid umpires, inept kicking for goal and all this surrounded by feral Bombers supporters all night. Not to mention playing at the Dome and not the MCG for his last game. There were so few Demon fans there. I am going to have a miserable day maybe dare to watch the replay and maybe even have a good cry. It was a lousy send off in so many ways for a loyal coach. Gutted again- I agree!
  3. I booked Sunday and could only get Level 3 Row N seats! Ticketmaster online is easy to do and then you have no hassles Friday. Ironic that we play Essendon in the week ND announces his resignation!
  4. Lots of you wanted ND to go BUT now you are saying let it not be this or that guy! I hope the next is someone that we can all agree on BUT I doubt it!
  5. I am deeply saddened for the rot he has had to endure from media speculation and some supporters intense and sometimes unfounded criticism. He has held his head high through board upheaval, shocking training conditions and now a wretched injury run. Thanks ND for many wonderful moments- my best when Whitey kicked the goal against the Bulldogs to get us into the 2005 finals. ND's delight running down to the players was a classic moment! A man of dignity, professionalism and integrity. Best wishes for your future!
  6. Hey guys don't forget to save some money for your entry ticket. I could only get Row N last night in level 3.
  7. Yze playing for Sandy! T.Johnston maybe as well. Whelan can't get back in! Dunn, Miller, Ferguson and Brown as well! The Dees must be traveling well to not get some of those names back in! I'm finding it hard to get used to the new look Dees team- I guess the future! Sandy should win by a huge amount if many of those Dees players are in. ( noted only 12 can play)
  8. Any of the MFC who played full games today are not likely to be considered for Friday night against the Tigers especially given it sounds like a hard slog today and a 5 day turn around. Did any of the MFC players get benched for long lengths of time as maybe a pre planned preparation for Friday?
  9. If Pickett, Whelan, Dunn, Miller etc play tomorrow does that mean they probably won't play Friday against Richmond as it is a 5 day turn around?
  10. Thanks Jaded for that info. Shame! Just another lousy setback for our troops. Agree we want to be in the finals but it doesn't seem to be our destiny this year. However I am hoping for some minor joy along the way.
  11. An interesting read: http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...5012432,00.html I am not sure where he gets his information re Bartram, Maloney and Rivers being out for the rest of the season.
  12. Brock took the blame himself and said he did the wrong thing in throwing the ball and back chatting the ump. Brock said 'I won't do that again!"
  13. Indeed I agree as well but let's not go there - I don't need another long debate on that. Dunn as well. We are going to have some depth when they all get up.
  14. Matt Lobbe is a top kid in personality- and can play! Another red head as well!
  15. A good read preview. You can all have your last minute goal scenarios- I have had enough close matches and will be looking for a comfortable 30 point win. After enduring the Crows coming at us feeling in the pit of my stomach I want to relax in the last quarter. I want to enjoy Monday. Brock, Bate, Sylvia and Jones etc to show the footy world our future stars and the old tribe to play their best games for the season. I also don't want to see ND stressed to the max in the coaches box on my screen!
  16. As you say Brock may have been busy at the time you approached him. I met him at the Dome earlier this year when he was wandering around to get something to eat at half time. He was fantastic to the 6 year old I had with me and again when he was doing a jumper signing stint at the G earlier this year. Good to see the players encouraging our future fans.
  17. My wish came true -Yeh! He was unleashed sooner rather than later. Well done Belly!
  18. Let's hope he unleashes his best playing soon!
  19. This will set the keyboards tapping! Robert Walls says Melbourne should consider trading White, Robertson, Bruce, Travis and Green. http://realfooty.com.au/news/news/demons-m...0205514184.html I can't believe he would have a go at Robbo as he hasn't scored much this year - where have you been Wallsy the man has been inured. Brucey is having a great year considering the team results. TB is the one who although he seems like he is paddling on the ground who tried to get Pickett to stay and challenged the umps when they stuffed up a game for us. He is not going anywhere. White yes is nearing the end rather than the beginning but is ranked Number one Ruckman for possessions. He is still valuable to us and we are bringing through our next ruckmen. We don't need to trade to improve in that area. Of course trades are an option for any club but I don't see us in the Hawks situation of a few years ago. We will trade but I doubt the names he mentioned would ever be considered.
  20. White is obviously vastly more experienced than PJ and Jamar, and has kicked great goals when needed, takes strong contested marks and still is valuable in centre clearances for one percenters and tackles. IMO He is still our number one ruckman but PJ will be valuable to share the load and no doubt continue to improve. Last year many were raving about Jamar- easily forgotten when he is not out there playing! When looking at the hit out stats I often wonder if there is a percentage of hit outs per team ballup/bounce. eg Sydney has many more ball ups etc due to the way they play so therefore Jolly can get higher stats for hit outs. So I would like to know the percentage based on the number of opportunities for hit outs. Any sites to check that out on or is that not a stat counted. I noted on one stat site that we are ranked second on tackles - at least one good indicator going our way. Interestingly the Roos are number one.
  21. Bell has been cleared of any charges. It was deemed accidental. Yeh!
  22. A united team is important but considering only 8 players (HUN article today) have played all matches this year that is very hard to develop, and maintain, the 'team' thing.
  23. No Melbourne game in town and some interesting Dees names in that team! A good chance to watch the Sandy team again and check out some listed players.
