Woke up this morning to check the results and write ups in the papers. You would have thought Brisbane won! Both papers talk about Voss said this and that and then right at the bottom of HUN article a small comment from Bailey. We are the wooden spooners, it is only a practice match and we have no major sponsor so why go with a Dees heading!!!!!! Anyway practice match or not at least we still know how to win.

I have looked through the Herald Sun Sunday Sport lift out and I cannot find any mention of the Dees V Power match. That seems bizarre or maybe I am blind. I know we were thumped but surely that is no reason to leave us out. I hope I am mistaken.

Back to the fight question. Right in front of me- 2 rows down in Section 42 MCC area. From what I can gather Dees V Pies battle. Security were there very quickly but the combatants still managed to get a shiner before some other guys stepped in and held them back from each other. Lots of upset people around who got pushed and shoved by the 2 idiots. I am not impressed with anyone who has to resort to physical violence at any time! It is also not what I want my granddaughter viewing at the footy either.

You can buy General Admin tickets on line already! I don't know how the free bit with 17 membership works- maybe ring Ticketmaster( leave lots of time to sit and wait!) and ask for advice and then get back online once you have the details.

Shame about that but I print a ticket every week for my friends to enter MCG or TD for many years and we have never had a problem. I guess the moral of the story is to check your printer quality.

Lots of funny guys around here! But my fellow Dee's sister let me advise you to pre book on line, print the tickets and walk on in without a queue. Unfortunately you will be Level 3 unless you pay big dollars but the view is fine. However first come first served to grab your seat. Best to use public transport as underground car park is $25 although there is a couple of local car parks. I will be there with friend so that is at least 4 of us.

It is a fund raiser but the general member will never be able to afford it. A small point it should be 'too much'- double oo

I too have many scarves but I like to have the latest year on show. I think it is also a way of showing you're paid up and passionate(as the Hawks used to say!). Yes I know some of you will say you have your favorite scarf- fine just give your new one away to a future supporter. The pashmina is okay but I won't want another next year. I can well understand the guys not wanting ties- who would wear it very often and least of all to the footy. By the way I hate caps- ruins the hair! So maybe it can be a choice, or a cap and scarf. Finally it looked great having the flags showing around the ground last week- that is definitely a must each year or even each home game at the start of the season.

Okay I am probably stating the obvious but so far we have played the top 3 teams for 2008 and North are showing they have plenty of what it takes this year and into the 8. Mind you we have helped them be there with easy wins over us and percentage boosters. So the next few weeks are crucial as we play the lower end of the scale- today is a must! I know we are playing an inaccurate game in terms of turnovers but I noticed we were ranked 8th in terms of marks in the forward 50. (An article in the HUN this week). So I am trying to keep myself optimistic that maybe it is just the luck of the draw that has seen us struggling so early in the season. The games against Blues, Lions and Pies who are in the lower half will be telling. Mind you at times they look awesome and I can't see us matching them. Keep the faith Dees suppporters!

I totally agree- this is what we are facing in society- agree people are dying from king hits-David Hookes for example. Violence in our streets has been the topic for awhile. Staker has every right to sue him as well. It is a criminal offence to hit someone like that. I was shocked when I saw it- we try so hard to teach kids not to react with violence when annoyed. It is a shame as I love watching Hall play but that brain fade needs a huge punishment. The mind set to punch as reaction will take longer to change. The footage of Paul Roos eye balling him at half time told us what he was thinking!

He is also a good captain for my super team!

Agree re Schwartz- I heard the same comment re China members and thought he was just being a smart alack! He often criticizes the club- past players of other clubs are loyal(bar Liber. at the moment) and make a few constructive comments. David just bags us at every opportunity- I get the feeling he does not like the club. I avoid listening to 1116 when he is on.

I would imagine it is only a matter of informing the club of your e-mail address by phone, email or on your renewal notice. I get a little tired of the above comment. I am sure the club would want your info so you can feel included! If you have a complaint then fix it. Shame the release is on the back of The Age negative stories about us yesterday.
