  1. how can our season be over? we haven't even played collingwood yet! remember children, a year without finals but with a win over the pies, is still a top year!
  2. interesting how stats can be used though the last two weeks the age has said we've had much better effeciency by foot, yet we are all so frustrated by the delivery.
  3. with the talent and enthusiasm our young players have, i couldn't see them playing as 'tanking' the season anyway. but yeah, if they are picked over players who have done it all before i suppose that would say where the club is at. best 22 should take the field
  4. cooney even gave the ball to carroll
  5. neitz whelan white johnstone robertson carroll davey soon to include, jones bell and petterd
  6. just walk onto swanston street with a footy and bet someone $50 you can juggle a footy, soccer style, on your foot 5 times. much better
  7. ha. but it's nathan brown...a forward...a rather happy in himself forward too
  8. great call if we decided a bay to sit in against any team, we'd tear the place down and lift the noise up an extra notch. not to mention get other dees fans up and at it. always through of making a hardcore section of dees fans that don't shut up the whole game
  9. yeah, it's a tough one. i prefer to say throw them in to face the eagles, these are the same guys who would claim to be going until the season is 'mathematically over' yet will hold wheels and mclean off untill they are more than 100% fit, something they would not do if we were 3-4. now i realise we need them to be fully fit, but surely if none of them play it is an admittance that we have given it in
  10. do like bate. presents, which i've always felt was miller's best asset, but also turns and kicks, long! has a good set of hands, good head on his shoulders, and has room to fill his few deficiences. another side of the argument is there isn't a true centre half forward in the modern game anyway and you don't need the traditional forward. thus, helping bate further as a mobile player willing to play up the ground and get into the packs when needed. good hands, good presentation, good kick, and a willingness to take responsiblilty make him my man
  11. absolutely agree. it's the little things that count. after all, if you go for melbourne because of premiership's you're laughing. i ve never seen one, dont think i will, but i love all the little things that the demons do, like sylvia's mark. that's why you follow the club through thick, and incredibly thin
  12. i used to be fine with it when we were winning, becuase focus was on the players that i didn't preceive to be winning us the games. injuries have shown that these 'match-winners' don't get the job done
  13. yeah i agree, esp. considering how our youngsters try so hard
  14. you don't make the last week in september without effort like today
  15. add victorian wins in the past 10 years. i don't get people that want to kick the coach off for any alternative. no victorian coach has found bigger sucess, save sheedy, and yet we think daniher has wrecked us. 2000 we shouldnt have made the granny yet still did through innovative coaching. what victorian club has had as much continual success as us in the past decade?
  16. bruce....bruce....just, ah i don't know. even when he gives his all, which you cant ask for more than, he seems to be crusing
  17. so moloney needs rest, haha sorry, that's what i meant. can't win with op. poor guy, is a top player.
  18. good point, kills me but neitz shouldve done what every dorward should do, be in front!
  19. so no well done for sydney at any stage for making a gf and losing by a point? you honestly saying you didnt say well done after spanking the pies at the g last year or topping the swans. good on the boys, i say that because that's the endeavour that will get us to the top of the table, for the full 26 weeks, not the first 15
  20. looks the goods? he turned the last batch that 'looked the goods' into grandfinalists and club culture away from a premiership. second most succesful vic coach of the past decade.
  21. top call! that's why i follow this game! for players with intensity and people that respect it. it'll turn around, that heart will take us far
  22. don't blame danners. we all know the last 3 minutes have nothing to do with the coach. it comes down to the way the players can think and take the initiative. captain belting someone doesn't help but whatever. we tried hard. on th boys
  23. never rest the skipper but moloney always looks like he needs a rest? is he always injured?
  24. JUNIOR!??!?!?! if he gets out of our club its retirement or in a box. unbelieveable player. he'll go forever, love him. such commitment. but it is sad that straight away we can say 10 players to go
