  1. agree totaly on the jumper, serves us right for wearing that rubbish. but yeah, the commentators could not have been worse. i was convinced when petterd kicked his goal they were just so confused they were about to start saying ....'umm..what...the west coast player in the red jumper kicked a goal... who's wce red 15? must be judd...oh judd..ooooh'
  2. yeah, all on the bruce 'bandwagon.' honestly can't see why he's so highly rated. tough on wheels i reckon, he was so hard at it and def not 100%. threw his body in, yet started on the bench (something that doesn't happen when he's fit) and i think as soon as they kicked ahead in the third he was taken off. i could be wrong, but i dont think he played much of the second half, definitely not right
  3. the thing is, i don't think the competition for that title would be very good
  4. what i don't understand is that after watching aaron use only his left foot for 4 years, teams are still not covering alwyn's, watching him fake to go to his right, falling for it, then being burnt when he cuts back to his left. when teams stop that a lot of his flashiness will be put under the most pressure, and we'll see if there's anything inside, as we found out with aaron last week, there is plenty inside his game!
  5. top effort! nice work. however don't see the need to apologise for getting 'matthew newton's name wrong, it's just not the sandringham player that you would be talking about
  6. if robertson doesn't play next week, injury notwithstanding, i am an igloo
  7. in tassie, the abc televised game. guy going back for a mark knocked the goalpost clean out of the ground, it fell on another player. craziness.
  8. ha ha haaa!!! tassie dude just knocked the post out! that's brilliant
  9. ha that's great, what'd they say. we all becomse special by association
  10. MURPHY?!??!?! WHHAAAATTT? for those who might wish to argue, even freo fans that might be crusing past, he's had 4 possessions in 2007!!
  11. nah don't mean on here, there's a world outside demonland, a dark horrible one at that. i mean in the media, other fans, amount of times i cop the 'who's whelan?' isn't funny
  12. great to see my man wheels back. he is ridiculously underrated it's true! worrying to see him named on the bench, while since i've seen that! interesting though! fluke a win and we could end up 7-7, 5-9. both with finals potential. now i know it's a lot of optimism but crows at the g, and pies at the g, are both winnable games with out full team out there with confidence. this season isn't over!
  13. haha thought you meant godders, but i just couldn't bring myself to believe it. i'm in love with wheels, want his babies. is that wrong? NOOOO, surely
  14. you can't change your approach to stop hamstring injuries. last year was calf as well, nothing to do with the way you play. in fact i always find his running technique to be pretty compact and smooth, so i can't see where a lot of them come from. but the other side to this is that in the past few years, there have only been a few weeks where people have said 'injury crisis at melbourne' and, having looked at the injury list, you realise it isn't too bad. we've been pretty good with injuries in the past, but mclean breaking a foot can't be helped, robbo landing like a nutter can't be helped, neitz's knee the same (and the debate will continue over whether he should have come back so early, though i maintain our attitude has lifted since his return), jones' ankle (another that has little to do with proper training), bell with concussion another one. i don't think we have had too many, certainly not crazily out of proportion with other teams, injuries that can be put down to bad management, especially considering the season was on the line when many had to be put in
  15. will this spark the return of 'eddie-everywhere'?
  16. unfortunately that would leave only one team high scoring, i reckon we play our best, and most free-flowing footy, when we go man on man around the ground, and run from there. tagging people won't make it a low scoring match, as last week showed
  17. haha i don't get it??
  18. pavlich and brown both on the footy show! maybe one of us should've been in the crowd to ask them which one would prefer to come to melbourne! if they don't answer, just a bit of rock paper scissors should suffice
  19. anyone see brad johnson on the footy show? dutchy must've given him a good one! massively bloodshot
  20. yeah but the other side to that is, when you see brock play it looks like he'd have to lose a foot to miss a game, not just break one. he'll be fine
  21. i doubt that's the way the hf line will look at any stage of the game. we all know what these team lists end up as
  22. yeah i don't really see the worth in a list like this. i would find it difficult in rating even our backline from best to worst given the different important natures of each player, i.e. whelan is our best small defender, carroll/rivers our best tall, who goes #1? who cares i say saying players are young and will be elite may be correct, but this does not put them at the top our best players list, as this is not a 'foresight' best list. i'd have junior, wheels and green higher, and it's hard to argue godfrey not being in our best 22 at the moment. more to the point however is that i'd definitely have bartram in our top 18, can't see how he'd miss a game in our dreamteam
