With the list we have, if we focused solely on "winning," we would end up in the same position as Sheedy's Bombers a couple of years ago.
Competitive in a couple of matches, by largely smashed. Sheedy wanted them playing free flowing, attacking footy.
For Melbourne, another season of poor, uncompetitive losses containing a handful of devastating losses would not sell memberships either, and would certainly not help us to "kick goals financially."
Our entire club needs to learn how to stay commited to the task, at all times. This will help our young players mature as a group, and help our team match it with other teams who might be better skilled/manned than ours.
