11 of the starting 18 not playing this week, only two of those are still on our list. Mental. Mclean was emergency because this was when his foot was still broken/mending. He would make his return the week later, to thunderous applause in a gutting loss. Green and Bruce up forward while none of the followers remain. None of the back 6 playing in this game. Wow. But it's killing me, what is it we're supposed to notice?

In: Grimes Out: Meesen Let PJ try and get into form by using his athleticism - try to get as much of the ball as possible. Wouldn't mind to see Bennel get a game in front of the home crowd, possibly add Jetta in for Bate.

I can't say I entirely agree with this. Whilst it may be true at present, it ignores the fact that this time last year our membership was worse than their's is now and we were 5million in debt. We don't yet know if our membership is a fabricated spike likes their's was and the fact we have a few more unsigned supporters is largely irrelevant. North have their problems, and I felt positive we could dig out of our situation whereas i'm not too confident about the Roos, but we shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves- this time last year we looked just as bad, if not worse.

Meesen's contract extends into next year doesn't it? So I don't see how this could be the end of his career, though he'll have to work bloody hard.

All clubs have injuries and most clubs would play players underdone. I think the state of our list, and our ladder position, dictates that we do not rush players back in. Guys like Bell, Whelan, Grimes, would be playing by now (if they were deemed necessary) in a finals year.

I, for one, never had an opinion before reading Y_M's posts. Now I've been brainwashed into thinking Bruce has shocking disposal, must be some form of black magic...
