  1. North's membership hasn't dropped that far. I'm not sure if it's 100% Sylv, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has some credence. I remember continually thinking in the early to mid Naughties that our membership was bound to increase to soaring heights because of our "success" and yet it never really came - ironically enough it has now come in one wooden spoon year and one dire year.

    Jack Watts

Stay on topic thanks Jaded, we were talking about Jack Watts - not Jack Grimes

I was thinking of Ellis...or on a better note, but less seen by me one, Norm Smith

I'm just excited to see Number 4 running around on the G.
  5. Couldn't care if don't win for another 9 months, I want to win this game so much. Beating the Filth is the best feeling there is

I still advocate that us rotating the QB game with the Pies for a home game isn't entirely out of our own interests. It would give us one extra home game per year (in years we play Collingwood twice) and may help to increase the interest in the game (if Pies fans show up in their droves and it draws 75,000 the stature of the game would grow. I worry about this, because if we get sub 60,000 again it would be a massive concern for the club holding the fixture. Many games this year have already drawn over 70,000
  7. It's a little odd to draw that concern out to "Melbourne supporters" in general though. I'm happy with what is happening with Watts at the moment, but can understand why some supporters would hope he would be playing AFL - supporters of any club would desire this of their top pick. No one is criticising Watts nor the FD, no one has said it's a disgrace that he isn't playing, or that he must be rubbish or that Bailey is a crap coach for not playing him. We'd had a rubbish 3 years. Criticising supporters for wanting to see our No. 1 pick play is a little bit silly IMO. I myself will wait until the club is ready to play him - I do also believe that any player on an AFL list would benefit from playing AFL footy. Round 14 would seem like an ideal time to begin his MFC on field career if his form holds up over coming weeks.
  8. I've got it: The Tasmanian Demetrious - it could be the only way Tassie get a team
  9. I've just always wondered about finalsiren, the points always seem lower.
  10. Finalsiren's rating, what is that based on?
  11. Honestly, we have nothing to "worry" about. We are that far back it isn't funny, and Richmond will start winning when they get a decent coach (i.e. anyone but Wallace). I'd love for Wallace's old team, who he walked out on/players kicked him out because he's a rubbish coach, to ruin his farewell.
  12. I severly dislike Wallace
  13. I hope the Dogs beat them by 100 points
  14. Riewoldt did play in his first year, and the Number One pick before Watts was a tall player who has made an immediate impact. I agree with what your saying Nudge, but not with how you back it up
  15. Dandee, with Meesen, Garland and Bleese all out for the season, we could place one on the LTI list to promote Hughes at any stage.

Mousey, you're quoting "reports" that are listed in this very thread.
  17. I don't think we have the fitness to play a match out for four quarters. I don't really agree with your take on the last quarters. A few of those last quarters were won when the match was over. We have won 6 of the 10, but even then our percentage for the quarter is only 92. We kicked 0.4 in last night's last qyarter but they kicked 1.6 - so you can hardly underline our poor kicking while ignoring theirs. Perhaps you're right, it may not be fitness but I still bloody want to know what's going on at half time
  18. Premiership Quarter: Melbourne - 22.17 Opposition - 39.38 ROUND 1 3.1 - 4.2 Loss 7 points (quarter), Loss 34 points (match) ROUND 2 2.2 - 6.4 Loss 26 points, Loss 53 points ROUND 3 3.1 - 6.7 Loss 24 points, Loss 57 points ROUND 4 3.4 - 4.1 Loss 3 points, Won 8 points ROUND 5 1.3 - 1.1 Win 2 points, Loss 17 points ROUND 6 2.1 - 3.9 Loss 14 points, Loss 43 points ROUND 7 3.0 - 4.5 Loss 11 points, Loss 8 points ROUND 8 1.1 - 3.4 Loss 15 points, Loss 7 points ROUND 9 4.4 - 5.2 Loss 4 points, Loss 22 points ROUND 10 0.0 - 3.3 Loss 21 points, Loss 37 points Percentage - 54.78 Won one quarter - 1.3 to 1.1 against the Crows. This needs to be improved and hopefully will as we increase our fitness.
  19. We had 2 free kicks in the first 2 and a half quarters, they had 12.
  20. Miller - was he there? Grimes - the new General
  21. Haha, I'm an idiot. I saw the "1" in the Bullies column and didn't even see your post. I used to live in the west and I have a big soft spot for the Bullies...perhaps because I've moved away?
  22. Someone holding a grudge from '54?
