CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
agreed. I think if Brown can can take a few marks and kick a goal or two he will have fulfilled TMac's role. then both he and Weid will be on show to get the one spot when TMac comes back in. against the Weagles he read the ball well and got to good spots but was butter fingers dropping marks. funnily enough if Brown plays we'd have two of the best talls kicks going around up forward. getting it to them is the hard part.

clubs will be extremely wary. I think his only chance to get fit is with the demons on a Bennell type deal costing nothing, then he starts playing again and wins the coleman.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Gold Coast
yes and it stands out. we haven't recrutied for 'class' but now I think the penny has dropped. the last two kicks of the match but be snippet of whats tocome who knows.. Let hope he even just continues as is, as he is smooth as silk with beautiful skills. As they said on the replay at one stage on the gold coast he was also racking up the numbers averaging 25 possessions and a goal per game. which is elite. not hard to believe considering he gets a fair bit of it in a new team after 4 years of injury.

Weideman's Future?
It was a pass yesterday with a couple of good marks. Question I have when we snap a quick kick forward how often does his opponent mark Lin stead of him? Almost always. One on one push and shove he is quite poor. When he gets a run at it he is potentially very good. I was hoping by now he could push off his opponent a bit better.

Craig Jennings Analysis of Dees Game Plan
11 days. seriously. how could they whine about 7 days. doesn't mean they are running a marathon each day. geez

Dee-sappointment Article Nails It
I thought the article was poor. Solution ? put Thomlinson up forward. he is very poor one on one. Hes an elite runner with good foot skills so keep him in the middle. Love how eveyoner is all over the Dees now to kick the dog whilst it is down. especially all the drafting articles.

Richmond are not a great kicking side. and showed up again against us. They rely on their few good kickers massively in Cotchin, Martin and Houli to set up play. Martin dropped off and they lost a few games. there game is placed on pressure and little dinky kicks and chains of handpasses..

Dees on Brink of Another Trade Disaster
thats like my kids who don't want to shop because they have enough food for just the next meal.

Stacking the Defence
May is playing good football, Lever OK and you are writing off Jackson. who were you spending them on in this 50/50 hindsight scenario ?

Schwarz: 'Dees are irrelevant'
yes. and its astonishing how that isn't a major objective of the club. build around Lewis. There was a bloke who was a poor kick but ended up very reliable for Hawthorn and Melbourne.

great journalism. whoever wrote that headline should be sacked, but will probably win an award.

Closer to the end
this is the post that affected me the most. it reflects how sad the situation is. it feels only a miracle can get us to the mountain top.

On the Couch - The Red Zone
ridiculous to pot the Dees so far this year with a full team then include last year which is most of the numbers. Would like to see this year in comparison.

Schwarz: 'Dees are irrelevant'
i absolutely believe it is not true.

Steven May, Time for a change?
exactly, we have 3 big forwards to choose from and May is playing well down back, sometimes very well. Moving May forward smells of breaking one of the few things that's working and things falling apart completely. Omac has had endless opportunities to show he is good enough and came up short. Keep May down back thank you.

Garry Lyon: "Melbourne Supporters are Gutted"
summed up perfectly at the end. and this is what is killing us. "We are a bad bad kicking team".

TEAMS: Rd 05 vs Richmond
yeah not sure on the one on one part either.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs Richmond
yes and also pressing forward more. this week we should try and expose Richmonds lack of experienced talls down back.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs Richmond
wow. 3 servceable games in and some are marking Thomlinsons cards already. stunning judgement given he's just started with a new team.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs Richmond
if Bennell's defensive efforts are still like the Carlton game, then Goodwin has a point. it wasn't good on a few occasions. no use letting them waltz past without pressure.

TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
whats happened with Sparrow? I don't hear of him on the injury list nor in the match reports.

Ross Lyon analysis of lack of scoring
yes. Watching the Geelong game on the weekend, was watching two completely different team styles. I thought our defensive pressure was actually good most of the game but Geelong had precise kicking all day long. a little bit off and they would have been on trouble. credit to them. We are the opposite. Watch the replay and Geelong so often 50-70m out kicked short to a safe target. they went safe all day. sometimes we just need to hit a short target up forward and tease out their backline to honour our forwards leading then occasionally go deep. and we need to mark then kick short quickly, not like Salems last effort which was to watch us outnumber them in the forward line, then wait 30 seconds then kick to an impossible contest.

Most Frustrating Team in the AFL
they all showed significant improvement under Goodwin yes.
