  1. I'm talking in hindsight genius. However surely we erred in not even speaking to Martin?
  2. Scully is coming across as a bit of an elitist and a prude. So the boys were out on the [censored] I take it? Good luck finding a club in the AFL where that doesn't happen. Joker.
  3. Clearly we made a mistake in signing Scully. Can someone confirm that Dustin Martin was offered in the vicinity of 800k last year to join Gold Coast? We should have drafted him. Money isn't everything for some folks (especially after a nice 60% tax rate). Damn you Scully for stuffing us about for a long time.

  5. This is exactly what I have been thinking. If it wasn't already obvious, it should be clear now that Scully had never signed anything concrete with GWS, contrary to so many claims given by a whole host of sheep. If he HAD, he would surely have signed officially with GWS by now. What decision comes in the imminent future cannot discount this fact. Scully was indeed telling the truth.
  6. I thought it was 2 finals series played in 30 years? An abhorrant record.
  7. The fact that the AFL are conveniantly closing the third party loophole at this time implies that no deal has been done between Scully and GWS yet. They are trying to get it done but it hasnt been achieved yet. Also, can't we set up a foreign bank account for Scully and get a third party to pay him through that? The AFL would have no idea.
  8. I've never thought Scully has signed anything with GWS, and still don't. It's laughable how many people do, talk about a load of sheep. But hypothetically, even if he had done so isn't this highly illegal, and GWS should be dragged over hot coals for signing another club's contracted player (or even speaking to them)? Lol.
  9. I think you've hit the nail smack bang in the centre of the head with this comment.
  10. I find it unlikely that GWS will offer Scully ludicrous amounts of money. Why? Pendelbury. Has it not occured to most that the latter is seriously hedging his bets by only signing a one year contract extension taking him to the end of next year? At this stage, GWS will have been gearing up to throw the kitchen sink at him, which will considerably cap the amount they can throw at anyone else this year. Pendelbury is of far greater significance to GWS than Scully is.
  11. Out of interest, why can't T. Scully sign a contract right now with a special clause in it, stipulating that his pay will increase by an agreed formula when the TV rights deal is announced? Why can't that be done right now and remove all of these tv rights questions?
  12. Maric played well today, find it strange he is singled out as having a below par game.
  13. Pickett, Neitz, Schwartz just falls into your timeframe as well.
  14. If you are a male in a nightclub (default 18+ to enter the premesis), and have sex with a girl from there, (either there or at home the same night) then it is later discovered that she is underage, it is my understanding that YOU can still get in trouble! Who on earth is going to ask for ID before the deed??
  15. Amazing noone has corrected you on this yet.....we lost by 29 points.
  16. Just wondering, why was Scully given a 2 year contract when Trengove got a 3 year one?
  17. Incorrect. If we had defeated Richmond (thus losing the PP), Richmond would have got the wooden spoon and received pick one, and us pick 2. Therefore Trengove to us in all probability.
  18. Interesting isn't it, I didn't notice him either!
  19. I was at the game today and my GOD, there were some STANDOUT terrible decisions made especially in that final quarter. No doubt we should have won this match, and the umpires definately kept the pies in it. I do not usually comment much on umpiring decisions as the reason for a loss but today they lost the game for us, no doubt. I agree those who made 2 or 3 critical decisions (or rather, didn't make them) in that final quarter need to be tied to a chair and forced to watch their errors over and over again. Because they were undoubtably errors and were in a position on the ground that would have likely resulted in easy goals for us. Pick up your game and next time, don't ruin the game.
  20. Haha that'd be awesome. Imagine if we won that game, hilarious.
  21. I agree, Scully was a clear standout for me today at the game, got better as the game went along. He's got some real talent. Trengove was good too, particularly with some super fast handpasses (linked up with Scully on more than one occasion). A huge stepup from the West Coast game 2 weeks ago, and is going to get better. Was a pretty good Melbourne turnout today, lots of vocal fans around.
  22. Cool. My school footy coach was former North Melbourne Captain John Law, a top bloke.
