  1. That's because you're browsing with Firefox, try using Internet Explorer and it will magically start to work...
  2. Perhaps because they don't want to give you too much ammunition to throw back in their face when we start to [censored] them on the field?
  3. Yeah great pic, love the rising horns in the background...
  4. The uncontracted player is Luke Ball, as reported in today's Herald Sun.
  5. No worries mate, yeah it will be useful particularly during this trade period ;
  6. Here's a new Demon's twitter page, the club's official twitter site: http://twitter.com/DemonsHQ There's some interesting info posted there already, such as Scully giving an outstanding interview at camp and so too Lewis Jetta.
  7. I never heard of Ablett walking out of Geelong, what was that about?
  8. That must be a very strange scenario for you to fathom. I could never have imagined Wheels defecting off to CarlJudd

  10. What's interesting is that it appears as if it was HIS decision: 'Brock McLean said “I have come to the decision that the best thing for my football career is to move on from Melbourne. While it has been an extremely tough decision as I have given the Club my all, I am confident it is the right one for both parties.”' If this is really the truth, I wonder what prompted him to come to this decision??
  11. I wonder who the club has it's eye on for pick 11? Bold move, time will tell... I'm sure they've done their due diligence on this...
  12. Here we are people: The Melbourne Football Club wishes to advise that player Brock McLean has requested a trade and will be leaving the Club. McLean met with Club officials on Monday morning to confirm his decision. Melbourne has reached an in principle agreement with the Carlton Football Club for their first choice (selection 11 overall) in this year’s National Draft. This agreement is subject to the finalisation of paperwork during Trade Week, commencing Monday 5 October 2009, and the completion of medical screenings. 13. Here's what I posted over at Demonology: 'I was at the game. He played nearly the entire thing without a visit to the bench and I never noticed him hobbling or anything. Just before the end of the match he came to the bench and when the siren went walked back onto the ground with an icepack attached to his left knee. He didn't seem to be in any visible pain and was shaking hands with the opposition players etc. I'd say it's some sort of tenderness and the icepack is mostly precautionary'. It's not too bad one way or the other as he was walking freely enough at the end.
  14. So it was 26? Yeah I agree, cool under pressure with pretty lethal delivery from what I saw. EDIT: Just went to the Falcon's website and checked the player photos, yeah it's definately Moloney.
  15. Maybe it was 24 or 28? Probably average size, had brown hair. Smart footballer.
  16. He was pretty quiet after that first quarter, especially after he was shifted to the forwardline. It's amazing just how many opponents are rotated onto him during a game. In neither of the games I've seen has he played out the duration in the centre, I'd love to see what influence he would have if he was.
  17. Scully stood out for me in the first quarter today, which was his best imo. Kicked a very nice goal on the run off the left boot in the forward pocket. He was pretty much directly responsible for two others as well, laying a nice tackle then delivering to the rays forwardline from the resulting free. He also intercepted a Falcons kick out from their backline with a very good strong mark in front of an opponent, and once again delivered to the forwardline resulting in a Stinga goal. He has a massive tank this guy, once again didn't come off for the entire game apart from right near the end (where his left knee had an icepack applied). I think the strategy the coaching staff seem to use with him in the 2 games I have seen live, is to 'rest' him in either the forward or backline rather than take him to the bench. His strengths are his quick thinking and his speed of delivery by hand, his running to position and general football brain. As mentioned above he can also take a pretty good mark when required. His tackling impressed me today. He seems to be pretty versatile too, last week he played half the game in the backline, this week half in the forwardline. Obviously however his forte is in the middle. There was one guy from the falcons who impressed me quite a bit, number 26 I think it was. He is a forward and has a good footy brain and great kick. Anyone know much about him?
  18. The Stingrays are back at Visy Park tomorrow at 2pm vs the Geelong Falcons. Main Act: Tom Scully (Lining up in the centre this time). Be there! Edit: Who's the chap from the Falcons that we're interested in?
  19. 'It's the number of games we can put into the right players that is going to see us grow – that's the best and most methodical way we can plan to go forward, rather than put any big statement out there.' A dig at CarlJudd?
  20. Perhaps you missed this part of my post then? I see you edited it out when using it as a basis for your comments: 'However there's no mistaking him up close, and the lad can certainly take a strong mark. He's not as bad as some people have made out on these forums without seeing him in the flesh. Regardless I still sit in the 2 mids camp.' I only mistook him for kicking some goals in the distance due to a similar appearance to another player in the Power, I recognised him up close however, which is when I was commenting on his marking ability.
  21. Checking the TAC website it appears Butch didn't get any goals, I could've sworn he did but maybe I was confusing him with another dude who has a very similar hairstyle and general appearance. However there's no mistaking him up close, and the lad can certainly take a strong mark. He's not as bad as some people have made out on these forums without seeing him in the flesh. Regardless I still sit in the 2 mids camp. When I first got there gee the Power looked the superior team, there was a rain of goals in that second quarter and I couldn't see the scoreboard from where I was and assumed they must be leagues ahead. And Scully was hardly involved in the play till after half time, but came alive in that last quarter. I think it must be true what others have said re: cotton wool. Why would you start a star midfielder in the half backline in a final?
