  1. Sounds like we're getting close to the end game. We can expect more attacks on ASADA from the Essendon camp and their media acolytes.
  2. It was perhaps a good idea for him to take up photography as a hobby but perhaps he took it too seriously and became obsessed with it? I might be speaking out of line but I did think his regular posting on twitter about his photography was a bit over the top.
  3. I take your point about the importance of the CHF position and I also take note of some of the criticism of Jack Watts around here as well as the coach's determination to make him a midfielder. As long as we have most of our talls and KPF's missing from action, I think its imperative that Roos bites the bullet and shows some flexibility by playing Watts in a key forward position until we get the others back. A good start to the season is imperative and you're quite right about us getting nothing from out half forwards at Casey yesterday. Necessity is the mother in this case.
  4. The process has been explained many times in this thread and the media. The end is coming and although Bomber fans want "closure" meaning they want it to go away by hook or by crook, some us just want to hear the truth. All Holmes, Whateley and co want to do is obfuscate by attacking the process but they have little to say about what the players took and had stuck into their veins. BTW Wilson did respond strongly to Holmes' comments while Masters was sniggering away in the background at Holmes' stupidity. He's also answered all of those points before on that programme - more than once.
  5. Australia's Under 19s lose to Afghanistan. I didn't see that coming.
  6. Let's see who fronts and plays on Thursday. I will be surprised if all nine play.
  7. sportsbet.com.au has us at $4.50 and Richmond $1.20. No respect for us there either
  8. So if Daniher left us in a such good place, why did the Board sack him?
  9. How does the presence of stars or other symbols on the back of a team's jumper end up adversely affecting its performance? Who gives a rats about that anyway?
  10. Gold Coast is set to sack hard man Campbell Brown following LA dust up with Steven May
  11. The US cycling authorities were said to have been involved in the cover up for Lance Armstrong but the USADA got its man in the end.
  12. Good bloke Aaron. Hope he does a better job mentoring at Tigerland than whomever had the job with us.
  13. Good story - no chance of drifting to us anyway but funny things do happen at the draft (like Grundy slipping to the late teens last year). Two flags by 17 but the best is yet to come for footballer James Aish
  14. I'm not so sure we should take for granted that Roos' arrival will automatically transform a dysfunctional team with its fair share of prima donnas and lazy trainers into a competitive football team. It's true that more than half the list will have changed in two draft periods but is that enough to remove the flakiness out of our list and make us a team?
  15. Who would have thought Lucas Cook a "key loss" for any club?
  16. It must have been a strategy by the Saints to bone him after the trade period was over. Would Billy Longer have signed on at a club in turmoil like St. Kilda without a coach?
  17. There are some who say that the crumbing forward type is out of vogue with Paul Roos and his coaching style but if that's the case, I would like to know the basis of the claim. Most of the top sides have at least in brilliant crumber and most are highly skillful indigenous players. Geelong have a few special ones which, together with Stevie J, always makes them an exciting team (as well as successful) to watch.
  18. Yep, sounds like a poor man's Kelvin Lawrence. BTW Carlton are smart enough to keep Prendergast away from recruiting. Whoever employed him at Melbourne didn't have that quality.
  19. I suppose it's hard mentally to continue on when your body tells you to retire but I wonder if he could have helped some of the young blokes at Casey had he gone on for the rest of the season and the finals?
  20. Well one that Sellar's been delisted, that upside is definitely much bigger!
  21. Last week Vlad denied that the Doc Reid case would be settled in favour of the Doc. This week he denies any knowledge of the coming ASADA infraction notices. I'm betting they will happen and at the end of the season as predicted in the article.
  22. OMG. I just saw him deliver his ¾ speech and he has ditched the mullet!
