  1. It's way too early, but It just seems that there are a bunch of teams like Geelong, Adelaide, Freo, Port, who have a tougher underbelly and are gearing themselves towards adding pressure and defence with their attack. Those attitributes should help them leap frog the Dogs, who are stuck in Bevo Land and need a fresh start - they just can't learn to defend territorially. Then you've got the northern academy teams who are sure to feature heavily in the finals. Leaving Coll/Carl/Melb probably up there too as the big Vics. I just can't see a reason for the Dogs to get out of the bottom 6. Talent doesn't get you beyond that anymore.
  2. Personally I don't believe that. On the small sample size of the weekends form: Freo and GCS have probably gone past the Dogs and their lacklustre defence of our ball movement in the middle and forward line. Essendon and the Dogs are about the only teams that are 1 step up from the North/WCE/Hawk level. Bevo will be gone by years end.
  3. And they fail to understand the money won't be spent elsewhere.
  4. Are we predominantly of the "No/Little changes" opinion because the Hawks are also a bottom 6 side like the dogs?
  5. And not listening. Although its harder to avoid it with every media opinion being posted on DL these days
  6. Kicking 0 but competing and not letting his opponent take an intercept mark is a pass for me. Bring it to ground and let Kozi, Fritta, Tracc and the gang get to work. It's a week to week proposition, as we see how his body holds up to the rigours of the game in 2024
  7. For all we know, he's another Josh Schache with a 5cm taller mullet
  8. Just Imagine how emotional Robbo would be if it was Zack Merrett. Not only back then, but 6 months later now when discussing this media retirement topic. Instead he's cold and dispassionate (for once) to the suffering Gus has gone through. The bloke gets his knickers in a twist about anything else. Could say the same about the rest of the media. If it was Daicos taken out and medically retired, how is McGuire arguing about whether it comes out of the cap or not, today? He would've erupted then and would still be erupting, flushed like a red tomato. Lloyd and Merrett? L Mathews and Lachie Neale. Kornes and Rozee, Caro and Dustin Martin. All of these pr1cks would change their tune about the suspension and the cap talk, if it happened to their own player/club. Instead it's remarkably quiet. Very Elephant in the Roomy. You'll have to excuse me, I saw the incident again and saw that thug veer towards him. Roused me again into anger.
  9. Jeremy Cameron would look pretty nice in a demons jumper
  10. Kozi is back, the podcast is tonight. Fullarton kicked 30 in 18 games in the VFL and Petty will be back v Hawthorn Edited original
  11. His hammy snapped at Chris Scott
  12. He was an assistant for so long under Hinkley. Another notable rouser of emotions that doesn't quite have the nous to take their team the extra step
  13. I'll take a flag in 2025
  14. Dees begin 2024 With a victory over the Swans (Dedicated to Callum Mills)
  15. This was before my time. When you were building up to who he reminded you of, I simply thought you were going to say Lachie Whitfield. The player us dees fans have coveted for years, but clearly didn't want to pay the hefty price tag, if he was even ever available.
  16. We'll probably trade it back for a disgruntled Harmes, after a year of being played in the ruck
  17. The death ride is about the journey (****posting) and not the destination (pimpley 18 year olds)
  18. Also no "Hibbert" @george_on_the_outer 😉
  19. Robbo and Mick Warner have been huffing too many Glenn Fartlett emissions over the Summer.
  20. Avoided media today, don't want a bar of those bastards discussing concussion. Just noticed the Deebrief Podcast released a tribute episode to Gus with Broden Kelly and Caden McDonald. So I'll pop that on! Letting other DLers know. https://omny.fm/shows/the-deebrief/gus-tribute-show-with-special-guest-broden-kelly
  21. That's 15* minutes of my life I won't get back
  22. No Weitering No Carlton They'll be the ones to drop out of the eight as further injuries and high expectations of repeating their 2nd half of the year derail their season (Our 2019) Bookmark it!
