This is definitely the week to ONLY listen to the DL Podcast. The PiesVPort match of the year and fait accompli grand final talk is utter rubbish and you can expect it all week and for the months ahead from the footy media. Vomit Emoji I came away from that game with my opinion reinforced that Brisbane will get that 2nd spot and home final run in to a GF (Good luck at Kardinia, Port) - And Collingwood will not make a grand final. Collingwood should've been beaten comfortably as per usual, and Port crumbled under pressure in the dying minutes. As they have done in their last two home prelims finals. 2 of The Dees, Cats and Lions will be their in that last day in September, injury's permitting. Their best is superior to the two ladder ladders and it's unsurprising that this is not a popular thought, given the hype from the Saturday night close finish. Do any of the 3 wise gentleman on the podcast share these opinions and want to discuss and create a safe space from the media this week? Or do any of you disagree?

I Stopped watching The sunday footy show this year and feel a while lot better. It's a pretty awful assortment of buffoons when you think about it. And Lloyd has had it in for us his entire career and will write us off at every mention. I've stripped back solely to podcasts and my fav is ABCs Corbin and Ben. ESPNs footy with champion data Christian jolly. And the Tuesday SEN segment with Daniel Hoyne where Healy/Cornes are about all I can handle. 😂

There are people out there that think the Lions should have won by 7 goals and choked that result. I just utterly refute that because we ran out every quarter better after the 1st. And both clubs won 2 quarters each in totality. We had some chances to bring the margin back to even within a few minutes of the last, and missed them. Before reigning back the margin. And they had chances to put the game beyond reach in the last. Seems to me quite an even split of momentum swings.

Amazing how even that game was. We dominated the 1st half of the first quarter and 2nd half of the 3rd quarter. And then the last. That's a 50/50 split. It all came down to a Melksham shot on goal. The talk of a Lion's choke is nonsense. We ran out the last quarter and a half. Their legs were gone! They were frighteningly good in that middle section of the game, but it wasn't enough.

When does Petty have to prove he is a reliable defender in the VFL? No doubt he will, but there are different standards being applied here to two players.

I spent way too much of my time post-game defending the club, the only one with the champion reputation alongside Geelong, with a fitness base to run out quarters, from nuffies over on other neutral forums.
