  1. Cheerios....
  2. I'm not concerned about the cats.. dees by 19 in a low scoring game.
  3. Good luck to him.... Really hoping he reaches his potential
  4. The teams will be very interesting tonight... Goody hinted to limited changes in his presser however we have May & Lockhart basically confirmed. He also seemed very impressed with KK, however we really cannot afford to allow another underdone player come in.
  5. Great effort! Best of luck
  6. Spargo will play at his best when our midfield is up and firing. Believe it or not his worth is providing the spread forward of centre and not wrestling in marketing contests with opponents double his size, which kept happening to the poor guy on the weekend.
  7. This... There is no chance there will be 4+ changes to the team.
  8. Thanks Wise... I really cannot believe the over reactions on here over a loss, surely we weren't expecting to go 22-0 then 3-0 in finals.
  9. That is a real "loser" way of thinking. How could you have us down for a loss in round 3 against the Dons given their performance on the weekend? They have the ability to bounce back after a poor performance but because we play poorly in round one our season is dead? Out of curiosity, round 1 last year did you give up on the season straight away? From memory in that game we didn't play anywhere near our best and some how were still in the game until the final siren. We were in the game (on the scoreboard) in the last quarter on the weekend, playing with 3 debutantes and a lot of senior players with limited preseason. Sure, Jones & Viney were likely not ready based on match fitness, however who would come in for those boys? They will be better for the run and I can guarantee they will not play that poorly next week. Sure we played poorly on the weekend, I got no doubt we will bounce back and play much closer to our best footy this weekend, have a little faith in your team and the powers in charge at the club. Just remember we could also genuinely be 3-1.
  10. Some were utterly putrid though..
  11. KK will likely need some time in the 2s to build match fitness... J.Smith is out for 6 weeks.
  12. Jones looked absolutely cooked today. ANB was pathetic. Omac and Frost are terrible defenders
  13. Mmm not a great half... however we really have only played on our terms for 10 minutes. Port have had all the play and only 3 points up. Hoping we come out firing after the break
  14. It was a great game... but for Collingwood being hot favourites and the "greatest midfield of all time" against a geelong team with 4 debutants there would be a bit of a cause for concern there..
  15. It was a bit of a spew fest how much the fox team were pumping them up pregame...
  16. Carlton should be banished to the 3:40 Sunday slot every week until they become an AFL club. What an anticlimactic start to the season
  17. Absolute minimum would be a top 6 finish and a home final. Not saying I would be happy with that...
  18. Really hoping/praying the Blues get up in some miracle tonight, not only does it take a win off the Tigers, I really don't think I could stand Adelaide finishing top 4 this year and getting a top 2 pick in this years draft. But in all seriousness, surely Carlton lose the season opener if they are putrid again this year? I'll be really disappointed if I am turning this game off at half time.
  19. I really think with Ryder & Lycett running around for the Power we need to go with Pruess & Gawn...
  20. 1. Adelaide 2. Melbourne 3. Richmond 4. GWS 5. WCE 6. Collingwood 7. Essendon 8. Geelong 9. Hawks 10. North 11. Port 12. Dogs 13. Brisbane 14. Sydney 15. Freo 16. Carlton 17. GCS 18. St Kilda
  21. Wow.... In all honesty I feel sorry for the guy. I am the same age as him and cannot imagine going through what he has gone through in his short career. But no matter what you have gone through being in an AFL environment for as long as he has, should have taught him some professionalism. At some point getting on the sauce a week before round one he must have known this is not going to end well, and will make headlines and likely make his situation worse. Surely being back home around friends and family (which is why he left melbourne?) He has someone, anyone to turn to if he is struggling with his mental issues rather than getting on it? Not an attack on his character, but maybe goody and the decision makers at the dees new about these issues and this is the reason we happy to let him go for "unders"
  22. Completely agree with Lewis' comments regarding the suspension, May is a victim of his own size & unfortunately had a skinny kid run into him. I really like the way May goes about it, for years we had been screaming out to not be a soft team and he will truly scare the daylights out of opposition forwards. No doubt he will get reported again throughout the year, but lets be honest when it truly matters in September these types of suspensions will be thrown out the window.
  23. TBC- to be confirmed, no time frame yet on injury. Test- recovered or minor injury still able to train and will play subject to fitness test
  24. I wouldn't be too stressed from that list we have 5 available and 3 listed as "test" with May being back in RD 2. Baring any further suspensions or injury in RD 1 that list should go from 15 to 6 pretty quickly with really only Lever & Hannan missing from best 22. There shouldn't be any excuses to start the year, we do have a tough draw to start the year however I think 4-2 really should be a minimum result through the first 6 rounds.
  25. The afl couldnt allow 2 suspensions to start the year get over turned. How that [censored] that is medium impact to the head is beyond me.
