Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not if they are the CHF of our footy club we all clearly love.

The reality is we were in the conversation with Hogan on our books. Let's say for arguments sake we were willing to part with 900k for Gaff. Now we have freed up 850K on our books along with our reported cap space to land 1 or 2 big name players I could see us front loading the [censored] out of a contract to gaff to get him over the line for "free" It appears media outlets have him going to Norf however we might be a bit late to the punch here.

Sorry mate. Should have been more clear... IN THE SMOKING AREA OF A NIGHT CLUB.

Farewell Dom Tyson
Yep I think you're bang on with carlton or the druggies. Saints seem to have an abundance of the Tyson type and would be crazy to bring him in unless they are losing some of their current inside mids. Cleary if we can get him to carlton maybe we can trade one of our thirds plus Tyson for a 2nd and a 4th of carlton's. There he would be playing bulk midfield inside mid minutes along side cripps and I think he will flourish.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I came down to Melbourne for the Hawks game and my brother told me he saw Jesse in a night club lighting a dart the weekend prior. Players clearly aren't chained to the club outside of their commitments but maybe he just doesnt quite have what it takes to be great? I can't imagine the likes to Jones, Viney & Lewis approving of this recovery/prep into a new game of footy.

If there is one thing carlton love its GWS rejects... Tyson & Frost get it done? Haha

If I was the bombers I would be going hard for Tyson. They need inside mids and he would complement their midfield group very well

I want this guy in the red and blue so bad next year. He will stop at nothing (bar clubbing someone in the face) to experience what he missed out on at the weekend. I think deep down he knows this wont happen at Norf especially if he himself takes 10% of the entire teams salary cap.

Feels a bit that way. Dont feel too sad about this. Time for us to get max value and move on

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Best of luck Jesse. I think he will struggle for 1-2 years at freo and then will boom into an absolute star. I think he was always going to go home at some stage. Strange that he got through all of the [censored] to jump ship now... His head clearly isnt in the right space in melbourne and fingers crossed he can maximize his potential in WA.

Applaud him... he tried to stick it out.. went to the [censored] and back and saw a chance to cash in.

Who did the Pies beat to secure top 4?
I cant really see the notion of a tough draw now we finished 4th. I'd love to play WCE, Collingwood, Tigers, Hawks or Geelong twice. Especially WCE, feels like it's been years since we have played them at home.

Who did the Pies beat to secure top 4?
You can only beat who is put in front of you. The draw is really hard to predict if it will be strong or weak going into a season. Who would have thought playing adelaide twice would have been a good thing after last year?

He was a Crows supporter... That pick is him showing support for Freo during the 2013 Granny. He was 18 & playing with us when he posted that.

Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
A big overhaul like that could cause a lack of team chemistry. You gotta admit it's not ideal losing 25% of your list. Unless you're carlton

Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
Wtf..... Are we the opposite of a destination club? We must be the first team to make a prelim yet going to have 10+ senior list changes

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I can 100% see the need. The top teams will all have a strong forward which can get off the leash against us. Every time we come up against a team with a key forward we know where our biggest weakness is. Sure they might not always crush us however it always causes us to change or defensive structures. Lever isn't really a one on one defender, he will takes Lewis' role next year.

was about to say the same thing...

It was more your suggestion of landing every big name in this trade period bar Lynch

Dont mean to be following you around. It just seems to be you're name popping up with the outrageous trade suggestions haha

Would you have accepted a 3rd round pick for brayshaw at the end of last year? Because that's effectively what you are suggesting... top 5 pick over 70 games experience with concussion issues

Farewell Jesse Hogan
All well & good that we keep him... Any news on how we will fill 9 list positions with only 4 current picks (5 once Kent goes) with pick 33 our earliest...? I would imagine we wouldn't want to be taking pick 87 to the draft.

If we get two top 10 picks I wouldn't mind shopping one around & retaining another.
