Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yes Jesse can do some spectacular things on the footy field. But I really think he is an individual driven player, this might change with maturity but I doubt it... He lacks defensive pressure it never seemed to fully buy into our team & city. Its no coincidence that our BEST wins of the last 4 or 5 years have been with no Jesse. we have netted a pick 3 in return where we will get a full back for 4-5 years, a potential outside runner (former pick 5) & pick 23 to bring in a very decent role player. Sure pick 19 would have been better, perhaps we have something planed already for 23 in an on trade?

8 years at Freo guarantees no finals for the rest of his career.

I'm so nervous... I haven't felt this way since the prelim... Something Jesse will not be experiencing.

really works out to be 15 & Burton for Wingard with some later pick swaps... Hardly the most amazing deal in the world.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
IF this is true what an absolute [censored]. We have been so accommodating to him, he will be at best a 35 goal per year forward at freo... Actually scrap that with Neale gone and Fyfe will get his annual injury he will be lucky to hit 30.

mmmm Shiel is just a bit over rated IMO.... I think May fills more of a need for us.

GC need to bank points for next year... 5 & 2019 second for May & 24

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Well I guess we will have to agree to disagree here. I would prefer to hold Hogan to his contract next year & target May as a FA next year assuming he doesn't go to the dogs or pies this year. Jesse hasn't come out and said he wants to go home... he is open to it but its clear he is also happy to stay, I would hardly say that us holding him against his will.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Or here's an idea.... Get the actual value of our contracted star forward & then pay a fair price for May.... Why should we sacrifice to get the deal done? Why isn't Freo sacrificing to ship Neale off to get Hogan & Lobb in? Why isn't Brissy sacrificing and just paying overs to get Neale? Why isn't Collingwood sacrificing & paying overs to bring Beams home?

Agree with this all the pressure is on the little man. 5, 23 & 30 has to be a minimum!!! 5 & 11 is still what I would be pushing for as this really is his value. I really get the sense that Mahoney will blink first however & fold with just pick 5 or 5 & 23 and we end up losing Hogan for May & change.
