Yep I think you're bang on with carlton or the druggies. Saints seem to have an abundance of the Tyson type and would be crazy to bring him in unless they are losing some of their current inside mids. Cleary if we can get him to carlton maybe we can trade one of our thirds plus Tyson for a 2nd and a 4th of carlton's. There he would be playing bulk midfield inside mid minutes along side cripps and I think he will flourish.
  2. I came down to Melbourne for the Hawks game and my brother told me he saw Jesse in a night club lighting a dart the weekend prior. Players clearly aren't chained to the club outside of their commitments but maybe he just doesnt quite have what it takes to be great? I can't imagine the likes to Jones, Viney & Lewis approving of this recovery/prep into a new game of footy.

If there is one thing carlton love its GWS rejects... Tyson & Frost get it done? Haha

If I was the bombers I would be going hard for Tyson. They need inside mids and he would complement their midfield group very well

I want this guy in the red and blue so bad next year. He will stop at nothing (bar clubbing someone in the face) to experience what he missed out on at the weekend. I think deep down he knows this wont happen at Norf especially if he himself takes 10% of the entire teams salary cap.
  6. Feels a bit that way. Dont feel too sad about this. Time for us to get max value and move on
  7. Best of luck Jesse. I think he will struggle for 1-2 years at freo and then will boom into an absolute star. I think he was always going to go home at some stage. Strange that he got through all of the [censored] to jump ship now... His head clearly isnt in the right space in melbourne and fingers crossed he can maximize his potential in WA.
  8. Applaud him... he tried to stick it out.. went to the [censored] and back and saw a chance to cash in.
  9. I cant really see the notion of a tough draw now we finished 4th. I'd love to play WCE, Collingwood, Tigers, Hawks or Geelong twice. Especially WCE, feels like it's been years since we have played them at home.
  10. You can only beat who is put in front of you. The draw is really hard to predict if it will be strong or weak going into a season. Who would have thought playing adelaide twice would have been a good thing after last year?
  11. WCE 17 Points Norm: Darling (bags 6) First Goal: Mihochek
  12. He was a Crows supporter... That pick is him showing support for Freo during the 2013 Granny. He was 18 & playing with us when he posted that.
  13. A big overhaul like that could cause a lack of team chemistry. You gotta admit it's not ideal losing 25% of your list. Unless you're carlton
  14. Wtf..... Are we the opposite of a destination club? We must be the first team to make a prelim yet going to have 10+ senior list changes
  15. I can 100% see the need. The top teams will all have a strong forward which can get off the leash against us. Every time we come up against a team with a key forward we know where our biggest weakness is. Sure they might not always crush us however it always causes us to change or defensive structures. Lever isn't really a one on one defender, he will takes Lewis' role next year.
  16. was about to say the same thing...
  17. It was more your suggestion of landing every big name in this trade period bar Lynch
  18. Dont mean to be following you around. It just seems to be you're name popping up with the outrageous trade suggestions haha
  19. Would you have accepted a 3rd round pick for brayshaw at the end of last year? Because that's effectively what you are suggesting... top 5 pick over 70 games experience with concussion issues
  20. All well & good that we keep him... Any news on how we will fill 9 list positions with only 4 current picks (5 once Kent goes) with pick 33 our earliest...? I would imagine we wouldn't want to be taking pick 87 to the draft.
  21. Timmy Smith
  22. If we get two top 10 picks I wouldn't mind shopping one around & retaining another.
  23. GCDee replied to Chelly's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
haha... Norf want that. We would want to give a 4th rounder. Everyone will settle on a third or equivalent
  24. I don't know why anyone would think he is staying.... We literally have cleared out 8 senior spots on the list (not including Kent & Hogan) with only picks 33, 43,51& 87. Clearly we have players & more picks coming in, Jesse really is the only player the picks we need to get more players through the doors. Jesse is a great player, I think he is an amazing talent which has shown some amazing resilience in his short career. However he has demanded a VERY large pay packet without IMO fully buying into our team. He clearly has some deficiencies in his game, & can drop his head if things aren't going his way early. Lets look forward to our future with players that will only buy in 100% to this team. IF we can gain picks 4 & 5 I would say this is a fair trade (possibly slight overs in our favor) however Freo need to get this deal done as they have been chasing a key forward for 15 years.

His managers comments was around the fact he has job stability with a 3 year deal now he has a "new family" presumably more $$ than at the Dees and has been promised midfield minutes..
