WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Pretty sure the AFL crushed this idea....

Tom Boyd, Tom Scully & Kurt Tippett all players who have had a million plus salary and aren't A grade players. Sheil is a decent player don't get me wrong, however I really dont think he will be missed a GWS, and his disposable isnt crash hot.

If a player has been told to go look elsewhere due to cap reasons, the giants clearly dont rank him as a top tier player. So yes I would say he is another GWS reject. Yes better quality than Jarrod Pickett but still at the end of the day was told to look elsewhere. Many others well above him in importance at the giants clearly. To be honest he is a B+ type player, not worth selling your future for 5 years out of a B+ mid. Further to that seems only 4 clubs were interested not 17.

They would be crazy to do that deal. Carlton need to build players to be hitting their prime in 4 years. Not bring in GWS reject over & over.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Yeah he has had 7 seasons to get his body and professionalism right... no chance he makes it. Hopefully he goes to Carlton and makes them implode so they can dive deeper into illrelvance.

Farewell Dom Tyson
That's actually a fantastic deal for us. Our pick next year should be 14+.... and Tyson is likely worth a second round. Would do that in a heart beat.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
I suspect we will want to use him as a wingman & take Tysons spot.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Lobb & a second which would value him 12+ which I would say is about right.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
I can do Bells job for him right now... Trade 1: Neale to Brisbane for pick 5. Trade 2: Pick 5 & 2019 first to Melbourne for Hogan & 2019 second Trade 3: Pick 6 to GWS for Rory Lobb and a second Trade 4: Pick 5 to GCS for MAY & KK I think Losing Neale would mean that Freo will be finishing around the same mark again next year even with Lobb & Hogan. But for years to come once their young mid guns mature with that forward line they will be very good.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I really don't want to have to put up with will he stay or go all bloody year next year. Make a call, leave now or sign a 4 year extension.

Hahah lololololololololol norf.

Shittest trade suggestion ever goes to Oliver Warren.... This also somehow got published on the AFL website... hahhahaha

2011- "Unfortunatley the demons will be horrible again this year and couldn't be further from flag favourites"

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I feel like this is tampering of some form? Plus they would now have Jesse on their books @ at least 1 Mil.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
oh yeah that's a nice little bonus Not sure if there are many Victorian WCE players we would have interest in which would be getable... I like the idea of the later first rounders from WCE has it appears we are trading them anyway.... 5 for May is simply too much. Whereas a pick between 10-15 sounds like its on the money.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Hypothetically if they match the Gaff offer & force a trade in means WCE will have picks 10 & 18 this year... which on points is worth between pick 2 & 3. That would be a pretty damn good starting point for a trade. If the general consensus is he is worth pick 5 & 10 then on points we would need another pick somewhere between 15-18 to get the same value... Therefore! Hogan out 10, 18 & WCE 2019 first round in.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I forgive the Eagles for giving us the belting of a life time in the prelim now this has pretty much certainly netted us 2 low first rounders. Weirdly I kind of would want Jesse to see some success (after we win a flag) at a new club and he wont be getting that under Ross the boss.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Which values Trealoar at 2701 points somewhere between pick 1 & 2... I think where this trade is skewed is Collingwood expected to jump into the 8 the year after landing him which would have pushed one of those picks to 11+

Farewell Jesse Hogan
sounds fair to me

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Exactly like Lever for us last year. Either a trade gets made or he nominates for the draft.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I really think we see an opportunity to really balance our list & push for a flag in the near future if we move on Hogan now. We probably know he is leaving next contract and don't see the need to hang onto him for one last year. Mahoney can't let it seem like he is blowing his load at the opportunity moving on Hogan gives us. If we make it look like its his decision and we are losing a key contracted player then in theory he holds more value. Just my opinion however
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
IF we did the deal for pick 5 only there will be pitch forks outside of AAMI park. Mahoney said yesterday that they believe his value is up there with the largest trade values ever. I would prefer just to hold onto him until next year where the minimum value we would get then is is a low first rounder then. I think worst case is we get pick 5 & 2019 first with maybe a later pick swap.

They will also have over 2 mil tied up between Polec & Gaff in salary cap space. They over achieved massively this year & really began to get found out in the later part of the year. I think Brisbane & Essendon will surpass them this year & they will finish in the 10-13 range again.

Hard to turn down all of that cash... But I hope he is happy with never being a premiership player.
