Jack Martin
Outside mid, good in the air and kicks goals. Would love him at the Dees. In terms of trade value GC would likely want 2 first rounders for him, I don't think many teams will be willing to part with that kind of currency...

Our Recruiting.
We have a young team stacked with talent... the reality is we wouldn't have too many players in our starting 22 which has completed 4+ pre seasons. To be frank a majority of our players aren't seasoned AFL players yet, we really cannot expect a team of superstars when half of them are still under 25, we will be inconsistent, our guys are still learning what it takes to be a professional and how to get the best out of themselves. Your point about the fail to develop our players is incredibly harsh, it's impossible to nail every single pick... Below is our top 4 picks from the previous 4 drafts. Highlighted are players many would agree are in the top 25-30 players on our list. 2018/2017 draftees are much too early to judge. With 3 duds on that list and 6 players still with potential to go along with 5 great players I am happy with that strike rate. These are also picks in years we we have been able to add in experienced players in, Lever, May, Melksham, Lewis & Hibberd who are all best 22. 2015- OLIVER, WEID, KING, HULETT 2016- HANNAN, JOHNSTONE (REST WAS TRADED) 2017- SPARGO, FRITTA, PETTY, BAKER 2018- SPARROW, JORDON, NITSCHKE, HORE Perhaps we need to give our team some time to gel, mature and condition to AFL and the toll it takes on young bodies?

Our Recruiting.
Our recruiting has been great. IF we had a fully fit May & Lever on the park right now our team would like 100 times better. If you join the May and Lever Deals this is the result: IN: MAY, LEVER, KK, PICK 35 (2017)- PETTY, PICK 28 (2018)- SPARROW OUT: PICK 10 (2017)- FOGARTY PICK 16 (2018)- MCHENRY, HOGAN I can honestly say I'd prefer what we have in for what we got rid of however this could obviously change if those picks turn into out and out stars. We are a club which won't look to bend other clubs over at the trade table, we do fair low risk deals... Lever and May I can guarantee would walk into ANY teams starting line up and I really am looking forward to them playing together. We have also done a lot of not as notable deals over the past few years.. Melksham- 2nd rounder Hibberd- 2nd rounder 2nd round (Fritta)- Watts Lewis- 3rd rounder... Anyone who honestly thinks to FD is doing a poor job with the list decisions I encourage you to go back and look at the 2015 list and look at the transformation over the past 4 years, it is truly incredible. The club is in good hands, just incredibly frustrated with the poor start to the year like all of you and did not see the loss against Essendon coming. If we do not switch on fast, this year will be wasted. We are down on key personal, we are down on confidence, and we are down on fitness.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
This is the only hope we have the fact that the teams that "should" be top 8 are off to really slow starts. Add Adelaide and to a lesser extent Essendon, Sydney (never out of a season) and norf (tipped to be there abouts) to that list, none of these teams have more than 1 win.

Changes vs Swans R4
I seriously will not watch our team until ANB is out. He is [censored] useless... Anb out jeffy in. Our forward line would be seriously quick then. FF Jeffy tracc Melk HF Hunt tmac Lockhart C Jones Harmes Salem HB Hibberd Weid Fritsch FB Jetta Frost j Wagner Fol Gawn Oliver Brayshaw Int Kk Preuss Viney c wagner Send weid to chb couldnt do worse than omac. I think preuss needs to come in on the bench and give maxy some time at FF.

Operation get rid of Oscar and ANB!
Utterly useless. ANB has killed our momentum on way to many occasions because he cannot do the fundamentals. Omac looks out of his league.

wow, just wow. I reckon they are going at 8% efficiency there.

Goodwin rejects notion that Dees list is compromised.
I blame Hogans on field attitude. All seriousness, tonight we will pants the bombers, it'll be close until mid way through the 3rd, then we will kick away and win by 50+ Tmac to kick 6.

Training - Tuesday, 2nd April 2019
Yep its jeffy time. Let's remember how he single handedly got us over the line round 2 last year when we were playing [censored] footy. We need speed, crumbling ability & some x factor.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
I wasn't at the game and you really get limited viewership on the TV but did anyone notice if our mids were getting sucked too deep into our forward 50? It has always been our game plan to out number at the contest, however maybe our mids took it too far and cramped our forward line up too much rather than building that solid wall across the middle of the ground and HF. Just thinking back to the game our entries looks so cramped and crowded, and Geelong was constantly able to sling shot with run from their HB into a open F50 with space for their forwards to work their craft.

King: Don't Panic About the Dees
This..... We are simply down in confidence, get a win on the board and we will be flying. There almost seems to be percieved pressure with all of our players rushing their disposal since the prelim slaughter. It will click soon and we will be a very strong team again. Oh and the calvary will arrive too, lever, VDB, hannan, may & jeffy (still have hope for him) will make this team a lot stronger across all areas.

Yes.. we traded a guy who didn't want to be at our club for a proven full back, KK & Tom Sparrow.

Changes v Essendon
We need pruess in purely from the structural stand point. 6 6 6 means he or Gawn will get one out inside 50 should we win the centre clearance and move forward quickly. T mac will play his best as a mobile forward and Weid will get the 3rd best tall defender. 75 i50s should be 20 goals as a minimum. I think Lockhart showed a bit early, so leave him up forward with Hunt at the feet of the talls. Bring back Jeffy (he is worth another chance) once he is ready for ANB (he is killing us at the moment). Both McDonald and Weid are getting to many kicks dumped on top of their heads when that is not playing to their strengths at all. Weid is best launching at the ball and McDonald is a excellent hit up target. It's a shame May is injured hopefully he wont be out for too long. The next three games are all very winnable 3-2 after 5 wouldn't be the end of the world considering how poor the preseason has been, we will be getting lever and hannan back shortly too.

Really great fight back... seemed to play the last 10 minutes on our terms. Hope we come out firing and get some score board pressure going
