Why we beat St.Kilda
I think GWS kept them in the game more than anything, GWS pretty much owned the game from half time until the last 10 minutes. If the giants could kick straight and show a bit more composure early in the last saints would have lost by 5 goals.

Why we beat St.Kilda
I think the saints have huge upside but their game plan will not last over the full 20 minute quarters, it was evidenced over the weekend that they just couldn't keep it up for a full quarter and went missing. If a team is well structured behind the ball (which we certainly did well on the weekend) you can take away their ability to get out the back and hopefully limit the damage their leg speed can provide.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
Literally no team will be playing their best footy this weekend. Suck it up, enjoy the win and let's hope for a good season!

AFLW: Rd 01 vs Gold Coast
First live women's game really entertaining. Don't seem to flay around and play for free kicks like the boys. They just get stuck in

AFLW: Rd 01 vs Gold Coast
Taking my 5 year old girl along to her first alfw game today. Secretly hoping her watching the demon girls strut their stuff makes her want to start playing... Great to have footy back!

Who Will We Dislodge from the 2020 Final Eight?
Also not sure if Brisbane are as good as people think. They had an amazing year (2019) but let's be honest they had the opportunity of a life time this year to win a flag. If they play 5 more games interstate this year I see them losing 2-3 more games and then just scraping into the 8. I really you can put a reason for anyone to drop the out of the 8 except for the tiges

Who Will We Dislodge from the 2020 Final Eight?
I think the Eagles may slide, not too sure about the saints, their best was pretty bloody good but their worst is pretty ordinary I can see them need a few years to build where they hover before launching for a flag. Interesting to see the dogs dynamic next year. Geelong will be 2-3 injuries away from being cooked for the year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Our improvement needs to come from the coaching box more than the list. Goody hasn't got it right consistently yet, he is IMO a bottom 4 coach. This doesn't mean he can't improve but that is where we take our next leap.

Mahoney's Trade Plan
Give Mahns a break he is just following Goody's game plan when it comes to trade time. "Oh [censored] plan A didn't work?" "There's always next year I guess" Repeat.

Jayden Hunt Re-Signs for 2 years
Hopefully we can settle him in to that half forward/ forward pocket role. Has genuine pace and great goal sense.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Potentially, or the club just simply has a chance to bring in a true full forward who has shown a consistent ability to kick goals and sees Tom (more so Tom's salary) as being redundant.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Demons players traded out in the last 5 years... - Jeremy Howe - Jimmy Toumpass - Jack Fitzpatrick - Lynden Dunn - Jack Watts - Dean Kent - Jesse Hogan - Dom Tyson - Sam Frost Really hard to argue that it's "so Melbourne" to trade out a player and then they become a star as literally only 1 player out of 9 have carried on and played decent consistent footy at their next clubs. Most of these players we got maximum value from both on the field and then in trade.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Is it? There aren't many ex dees players that to onto other clubs and become a star. In fact most flop

Nathan Jones Locked in for 2021
This guy deserves a flag more than anyone in the AFL. I hope we can provide him the fairy tale ending.

The Brodie Smith thread
Pretty sure he did his ACL late in 17 and didn't play the granny.

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
This one is a bit different. There is something clearly NQR with Hogan, sure if he gets to the tigers turns his life around and lives up to his potential it will hurt. But he certainly isn't moving at the top of his game and he hasn't got too many teams lining up for him.

Feel for him given he renegotiated his contract to be back ended when the pies were having cap issues. Now that his pay day has come they are shipping him off. Really poor form by the lies I mean pies...

The only way that free agency can work is that the club gains as much control as the player when it comes to trading IE in the NBA. Teams need to be able to trade without player consent. The way we do it is have essentially anyone who isn't happy at their current club a free agent no matter their contract situation. By allowing teams to trade freely they can then make legitimate plays for free agents. It makes me sick that a Coleman medalist will be joining the potential premier for free whilst the rest of the comp have salary cap issues by being told they need to pay x% of their salary cap on average players, this is why middle table teams stay middle table, they get handcuffed over paying for role players.

I would have loved to have this guy on the list. The rich get richer.

Farewell Mitch Hannan
I really think Mitch has the ability to make it as a player. Would hate to lose him

If he is on our list and kicks 60+ goals I couldn't give a [censored] what he looks like

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Medium sized forwards and inside mids are what we have an abundance of. We need a key forward.
