  1. A number of gaping holes have opened up in the list and we have the picks to fill them I hope we don’t put all our eggs into pursuing one player when we need at least 4.!!!
  2. 28.9 I believe, against the big boys in AFL, scored goals in 17 of his 20 games so far plus he rucks and covers a lot of territory, I am just disappointed that he got rubbed out when we need him the most.!!!
  3. Thanks Kev and all posters love the feedback, if the boys were a bit flat I think that would reflect the collective mindset of all Dee supporters today. I know that I am struggling to come to grips with Gus’s injury, the primeval magpie supporter base and the way that we threw away that crucial game.!!!
  4. I will always remember Michael Hibberd running across Optus Oval with the Premiership Cup in his hand to share it with his brother. Thank you Hibbo a very hard tough team oriented player whose shoes will be hard to fill.❤️💙
  5. I hear you Spirit, players are presented with opportunities some rise to the occasion and scale the wall some don’t realise the importance of the opportunity and the moment and fail to step up. Need to try someone else this week.!!
  6. I am hoping that we achieve three key things at the draft this year:- 1- Tall forward, 196 - 200cm 2 - Tall defender 195 - 198cm 3 - Tallish midfielder 188 - 192cm that can play forward or back whilst he developer’s into a premium mid. Then pick up Pup, Rookie the Best available Ruck running around in SANFL, WAFL or VFL and find Toby Bedford’s best available relative.!!!!
  7. I think that we got stuck on the Romance of the surname, so much history, Murray was a giant in all respects, sad that it played out so poorly for us.😢😪
  8. That’s 25% pretty good odds for us.!!!
  9. Thanks DD so many players below par on Thursday night, nerves, anxiety spent their energy before the game and yet we were still in it right until the end. I was checking the team stats this morning and Blues / Swans teams ran an extra 20 kilometres during their game compared to Dees / Pies game. That seems a bit weird,ie 290 km vs 270km that seems a lot of K's.?? Crowd Noise.???
  10. Harmsey did his hammy this morning in the scratch match against Carlton reserves.
  11. Hi Dazzle they only mentioned that everyone got through the hit out bar Harmsey. So sounds like Grundy will be ready to go if picked and I hope that he and JJ come straight into the team.!!
  12. Grundy played in a scratch match against Carlton this morning and everyone got through ok apart from Harmsey who did his hammy. As reported on Ch7 tonight.!!
  13. I would bring in JJ for Gus and Grundy for JVR, Tomlinson to bolster Backline and Woewodin or Spargo to replace Laurie, Grundy CHF to ruck forward line and rough up opposition.!!
  14. 😪❤️💙
  15. What an absolutely frustrating game last night if the rain and listening to a very large and noisy bunch of feral morons wasn’t bad enough our boys did everything in their power to lose such a critically important game. My god we had a miserable 23 shots on goal from nearly 70 inside fifties to their 15 shots from 37. They manage 9.6 to our miserable 7.11 and 5 oof how is that even possible. We were in M9 surrounded by friendly Dee supporters with Demon Army just to our right, the noise in the last was off the charts, we were so dominant in the last 15 minutes but wasted opportunity after opportunity. Then when the siren went we had to endure all the idiots up on L2 in our premium seats waving their fists at us and jeering us like they had won by 20 goals when in fact we should have beat them and shut their stupid faces up. We fumed all the way back to Doreen, one thing is for sure I would love to meet this mob in a Grand Final but we may have lost our opportunity to do so.😢😪❤️💙
  16. I’m with you Dof that sounds about right.!!
  17. Depending on the final price Shane fills a crucial hole in our list and at 28 provides another hard body to cover for Jake Melksham plus he can also mark, kick and tackle. Win - win.!!
  18. No.26 Jed Adams, 19, 196cm 6’5” 91kg had shoulder issues when he arrived at the Dee’s and has taken a bit of time to fit into Casey particularly with Tomlinson and Disco playing so well down back. Needs a big pre- season and time in the gym.!!
  19. I have really noticed that Tracc and Gus are displaying a lot of leadership traits on and off the field this year.!!!
  20. Let’s hope that our injury list remains manageable over the next month, feel so bad for BBB, Milkshake and Petty.😢😪
  21. Thank you Jake Lever and MFC great to secure another of our Champions, Jake is a massive contributor to our culture and success.!!!
  22. Thanks KC and all posters very sad that we fizzled out like that but losing Dunstan and Melksham last week probably coloured how the club reacted. Rohan Steele is surely one to watch for Rookie list that is a stand out performance in a final. !!
  23. Thanks LH that is a great effort not easy keeping up with all the machinations of the MFC, just curious re: AMW is he signed Cat B until 2024 as I think he is definitely a keeper.!! Also very excited about our 2023 draft hand.!!
  24. Just watched it on Utube, great interview and great mindset, I love the way Tracc is so honest and doesn’t mind going deep with the answers, very honest, he lives for these finals games and yes we are indeed fortunate to have Christian Petracca playing for us. Thank goodness the Saints didn’t take him Pick 1.!!!!
  25. Kyah Farris-White, 206cm and 91kg according to MFC website will take a couple of years conditioning to get him into contention, let’s hope that he really shows enough next year to make him a keeper.!! Right size and build for a modern day follower a La Tim English.!!
