  1. Thanks LH for explaining it in detail, the Tracc contract will save us a min of $4.8m and Claz approx $3.5m over the five year period, we have to be able to hold onto our young guns and attract new players through the door . As you have pointed out this action along with natural attrition will make our List Management a whole lot easier to manage going forward.
  2. Let’s face it we were all smitten with Clarry Choo Choo at the time and would have been disgusted with the club had we lost him to another club. We had no reason to believe his form would not continue in a similar vein to his previous seven years, [censored] happens unfortunately. How could we have known that Clayton would go off the rails, Gus would be knocked unconscious and retired and that Tracc would be so badly injured that he fell out of love with the club in a two year period. It’s not the clubs fault it is just mind numbing tragic.
  3. Disposal Efficiency- 78% kicking Efficiency - 73% And he can run and carry old55, possible replacement for the Judd. I’m warming to him hope it comes off.
  4. I agree PK LITD, the loss of Gus has left a huge hole in the team, he was the glue that helped keep the group together. I expected CP5 to step up and take up the slack by showing extra leadership but he has gone down a different path which has further destabilised our senior group. Clayton stayed on the straight and narrow racking up the accolades until hit by injuries to his hand and then hamstring which seemed to affect him more than most players. As much as I loved them both in our Red and Blue, Tracc has moved away from being one of us and Clazz has acted in a really unstable manner, cutting the fences and burning the bridges that once made him our former elite champion. In all my 80 years I have never seen anything like it since Barassi jumped ship to Carlton and The Red Fox was sacked by a bunch of imbeciles in 1965. I will always remember 25/09/2021 when they both shone brightly for our mighty demons and helped to deliver us the Holy Grail. Nothing we get will compensate their loss but it’s time for a massive reset and let our younger brigade thrive and show their leadership under the wings of Max and Jack.
  5. Heard on Gold FM two hours ago GWS said they are closing on the Clayton Oliver deal and expect it done as early as tomorrow, no mention of any details though. They must be laughing.🥲
  6. What a bummer joeboy, did you tell him not to park there again. lol.!!
  7. Jeez QBD have you read the Sack Goody thread’s, SG has received more heat on DLand and in the Press than anyone in the Footy bubble Ever may have been edged out by the “kings” antics a few years back but it has been relentless.
  8. I hope we haven’t done our 2026 Calendars yet.😁👍
  9. I felt sorry for Jack Billings seemed an all round good bloke, he was a very good footballer at Casey, consistently one of our best and most likely better than our bottom six at AFL level but his inability to finish off his great work in the ones ruled him out of the picture. Good luck Jack.
  10. Steven May has been one of the linchpins in our best defence that I have witnessed at the club, if he gets through the preseason in full health he will pick himself, he and TMac provide quality depth.
  11. I’m hopeful that the new coaching and strengthened development team along with Brodie and Milkshake that all our young forwards will get the necessary education and guidance to enable them all to take that next step, for JvR it’s more of a rekindling the original flame.
  12. We were feeling a bit anxious about our coaching team two days ago and now we have been inundated with great news, with possibly still more to come. Will sleep well now as will Steven King, a lot to look forward to. However the Tracc and Claz deals are dragging the chain and limiting our recruitment options, probably both go down to the wire.
  13. Welcome aboard Brody Mihocek (192cm, 96kg, 6’4” in old terms) strong and effective forward kicked 36 this year alongside Elliot’s 60. Will take the top defender and take some pressure off Rooey , Milkshake and Fritta, will also help make space for Kozzy and help with development of Matty Jefferson and young Luker Kentfield. Win- Win for Dees. We must have something in mind for Spargypants pick to burn the future 3rd. Hope you are fighting fit Brody.
  14. Welcome to the MFC Max Heath so glad that you have come onboard, you have made the right choice young man, right size, right age , right price and imbued with the necessary aggression to make it in the AFL / VFL.
  15. If you listened to the interview RBMB they asked Clayton about the Facilities he said that Giants were good/ great and Collingwood’s were better than Melbourne’s. That was my take anyway. He is very sketchy at best and appears to have a deep seated disregard for the press.
  16. To a flag if you don’t mind FD.
  17. The meeting with Clayton, Tim Lamb, Richo and King took place in his managers office so both parties should have a full understanding of what took place.
  18. Still a bit annoyed with young Judd felt that he owed us at least another 2 year deal, but Freo seem to be better “sweet talkers” “sirens” than us and the West has a history of creating homesickness in their desired targets. Good luck Judd but remember who gave you your first opportunity.
  19. True LT but Rosas was never on our radar.
  20. Strongly agree BBP, Steven is definitely best 23 and it would be nice to have him out there when fully fit and held in reserve when we have the inevitable injuries, also with the extended bench he could be handy.
  21. I think that he will hold his own with any of the AFL media journalists Fritta and Turner.😁
  22. Really need to hang onto Troy.
  23. Bad luck Sam, you missed out again, be interesting to see what GCS try to dish up for Tracca But it better be bloody good.

I believe little that I hear and only half of what I see, everyone has their own narrative. The proof will be in the eating, we don’t need to start white anting our our new leaders based on heresy. We will judge them on their successes and failures at MFC. Despite a lot on here downplaying Pert and Roffe we managed to snare ‘21 AFL Premiership plus ‘22 VFL flag sand ‘23 VFLW Flags under their reign.

Personally I would prefer that we keep May, Tracc and Clarry but only if they can bend their will to align with our new coach’s team plans and game style. All three players have copped heaps on Demonland over the past two years, is it because we could lose all three at once plus the Judd that people are going to jelly. When you have massive change like we are witnessing it is hard to keep your head when all around are losing their’s, cool your jets trust your club and see what happens. This is a whole new ball game, think this is like when Roosey came to the club. New Presidents, New CEO, New Coach and some New players perhaps.🤫😁👍
