  1. I suspect Roos sees him as insufficient for our needs due the value he places on skills for the position, i.e. retaining possession. I don’t necessarily agree that Tomlinson can’t fulfil this need.
  2. For someone I’m not sure I’ve ever met, this is surprisingly gut-wrenching. Vale Spud.
  3. They try to make it appear that you’re not able to freely come and go, but clearly you are.
  4. Yes, well... just about settles it. Tell me, oh great footyologist, what are Hore’s elite attributes that make him a vital member of the back 6? Pace? Agility? Physicality? Skill? Lockdown defense? Beyond being a half decent reader of the play, taking the odd intercept mark, and long kicking... I’m not sure what he’s great at. Handy depth, but we have better.
  5. Hore is a poor man’s Lever. He has his moments, but the balance of our back 6 with both in there is not right. Great depth.
  6. Careful, your ignorance is showing.
  7. Hey, Neeld got a bite at the cherry, so I guess anything is possible...
  8. I think it led to us changing our approach when there was maybe not much need.
  9. Looks a lot like Fagan, but I reckon that’s Kelly O’Donnell.
  10. Because with a player like Trac, his manager would make it his business to be more involved than he needs to be. Trac likes attention, and he’d be a cash cow for a manager. See, this is where I get a timely reminder to treat everything I hear myself and everything anyone claims to have inside knowledge of, with a very healthy dose of care and skepticism. I can just about guarantee I know more about the machinations around the Yze situation and not all is as it seems. What you’ve said may be correct to the knowledge of the people involved on your end, but that does not mean it is absolutely correct, and I happen to know different. And it doesn’t mean events won’t play out to look like it was correct.
  11. A bit of the “Paul Johnson”s about him? I think he’s a little better than that.
  12. Yeah, I thought all 3 were. Clearly a little research shows the GWS variety is from WA, so I’m wrong. Cheers
  13. Is he not? I’ve been told that he is. Cant remember who though & I was surprised there wasn’t more talk of trying to re-unite them. Thanks for the correction.
  14. With the talk of us trying to “split” our first pick, most probably with GWS, if current picks 11 & 13 are not sufficient, for the purposes of this thread we’ll operate on the premise that a GWS player that is deemed to be surplus to requirements would be included. This thread is for appraising those (realistic) options. To my understanding they would come from a list of: Xavier O’Halloran, Jye Caldwell, Aiden Bonar, Zach Langdon (brother of Ed), Kieran Briggs, Isaac Cumming, Brent Daniels, Jeremy Finlayson, Jackson Hately, Ian Hill, Connor Idun, Harry Perryman, Jack Buckley, Zach Sproule, Nick Shipley... Thoughts?
  15. How many wingmen do we intend on selecting in the side? If we were to recruit Amon along with Langdon, we’d need to then delist 3 or 4 wingmen just for list balance.
  16. Can you stop making burner accounts mate? I’m sick of having to add new ones to my ignore list. Yes, I’m aware of the irony.
  17. Healthy dose of fantasy in that comment.
  18. I’d honestly be happy with Bruce up forward. Would probably cost too much though.
  19. May was leaving last year, so it was then or never. You’re quick to fire back, but maybe try putting some thought into it ok?
  20. Lever was the ONLY Adelaide player that performed on the day and could hold his head high after the match. Not sure what game you guys were watching.
  21. While you’re at it, you might as well ask Clarkson & Simpson if they’d like to step down from their head coaching positions to be a mentor to Goodwin. I wonder what other silly suggestions you can come up with?
