WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Courage? It's his role. He has no fear of making a mistake, as he makes them consistently. Took possession. Baulked is putting it kindly. Through dumb luck (not design) the red seas parted, and he's gifted with the agility to take advantage of that. Hit the right target. He has done some things right, but he is afforded too much credit for this play. He was lucky, but the act itself was an incredibly stupid decision. Right in front of goal, and he decides to launch his body headfirst at the legs of others. He has practically begged to have a decision made against him, and has only succeeded by the incompetence of the umpire. Frosty has been capable of moments of sheer brilliance, but it is often a result of combining his supreme athleticism with sheer luck. And far too often he demoralises his teammates but making dumbfounding decisions while they're pushing hard to provide options further afield, ultimately catching them out of position and leaking easy goals. It's time to let him be somebody else's problem.

The first involvement was dumb luck, the second had me holding my head in despair as it was a blatant free kick against Frost that miraculously wasn't paid. He is a deadset liability.

Adem Yze - Assistant Coach?
X. Iâll let the rest play out.

Adem Yze - Assistant Coach?
All positions that have been vacated, have now been filled. The names will be released in good time.

So little idea... Not all players can be elite (by definition) but that doesnât discount a player from being a good fit for your system and filling a key role.

Easy comment to make now.

The Christopher Woods Thread
Valid points. Weâre still not pouring enough resources into this though.
-
Billy Stretch
Yes, he might not succeed there, but I reckon itâll be tried.
-
Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
I doubt heâll be available if we split it, but I still think splitting it is the right idea.

Farewell Sam Frost
Not true at this stage, probably not at all.

The Christopher Woods Thread
Combination of the resources weâre putting into it, and the junior system already in place within our catchment zone.

Billy Stretch
I can see Billy ultimately having a similar career trajectory to Jetta. A lockdown small defender, albeit with less aerial ability. Professionalism is high, but he just isnât an AFL-standard midfielder.

Billy Stretch
Donât deserve it, but honestly, the same reasons are why they NEED it.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Youâre missing the point - itâs simply not the end of the world.
-
The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Thereâs simply been far too many cases like Fyfe, Cripps, Curnow, Oliver, Rozee, Stephenson, Bontempelli, etc. ad nauseum, where the best players from a draft come from outside the consensus-top-few at the time of the draft. You just have to look at the players who were duking it out for the Brownlow: Fyfe (20), Dangerfield (10), Neale (30s?), Cripps (13), Kelly (20s), Grundy (20), Coniglio (2), Zorko (rookie?), Martin (3).

During the red carpet fluff-fest.

Itâs about improving the baseline. Not every player can be a superstar or âeliteâ but they can bring elite attributes and attitude.

Thatâs the thing though isnât it? He just canât get a crack at it in his best position (although Iâm undecided as to what that is). His flexibility has almost been to his own detriment.

I didnât mean it in a negative way, Iâm a fan. But he was out of the 22 until injuries arrived. Moreso mentioning it as a reason why he would be looking at his options and whether staying would be in his best interests, flag or otherwise.

Come on mate, thereâs only one Titus OâReilly. And Hamling only slipped into the side after injuries to others, much like Tomlinson.

Clarkson assistant coaches record
Iâm sure it wasnât simply âwho has been an assistant under Clarksonâ Many of the great coaches had many players and assistants who went on to be great coaches themselves... or they became known as great coaches as a result of the success that came from being surrounded by so many players and assistants who were capable of being great coaches in their own right. Iâd be inclined to think that Clarkson has had a fair hand in the success that has followed him, but I wouldnât discount the ability of someone simply because they didnât complete a tutelage under him.

The Kalani White Thread
If the AFL genuinely wanted a team in Tassie, theyâd have someone decent running the show down there.

Sadly probably true

Splitting Draft Pick 3
That could be the case, and weâll just need to make sure we get back something weâre happy with. Iâd be totally unsurprised if we laid down the challenge to GWS: you do what you have to do to get us Hawthornsâs pick 10, to go along with pick 12/13, and we have a deal. Otherwise we bid on Green with pick 2/3 and will happily take him if you donât match. Itâs only my humble opinion, but I really like Xavier OâHallorand and would âsettleâ for him too, along with 12/13 & 17/18/19.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Doubt Hawks will give up a 1st round pick for Patton. Iâd expect theyâll need to include a player like Caldwell or Bonar to satisfy us.
