Today showed why we should take him with our first pick. 30 disposal 5 clearences and 7 tackles today against Vic Country. He is a 185cm 84 kg inside tough midfielder who is a ball magnet and can push forward and kick goals. Has excellent disposal and will be ready made Ollie Wines like. Make it happen Melbourne!

We have him killing it down at VFL level already showing us he can kick bags of goals. Mitch is on one leg, Dawes is more of a lead up forward who doesn't really kick big goals yet you still want Hogan at CHB?? strange....

Yep would even say he plays a lot like travis cloke but his kicking for goal would be like Jarrod Rougheads. Very accurate.

Yep and lets be honest he may love the city of Melbourne but everyone plays footy to win flags, play in finals etc.. Freo are heading that way and Ross Lyon has them playing good footy. Even Clark was shocked by Neelds comment a couple of weeks ago when he said something that we are still another 5 years away. Clark when he arrived like all of us saw what we thought was a pretty talented list that was close to finals. Instead we are miles away from even getting off the bottom 4. I could imagine what would be going through his head when he watches Freo play every week and beating sides like Collingwood at home and draw with Sydney on there home turf. They have an exciting list and while he is enjoying the money we are paying him it still wouldn't beat playing finals footy and being close to a cup. I honestly reckon he just took a punt with us and hoping it would pay off and everything go well for him. Remember this guy was basically at Freo headquarters ready to sign until we opened up the brief case right in front of him. I think if he had his chance all over again he would pick freo with bit less money but the opportunity of playing finals and playing in front of big crowds.

Lol Dawes is no where near the player Roughead is and struggling to get his body right. Clarks will be lucky to ever play a full season. Gawn has put off contract talks. Hogan is sussing on whats going to happen at the Melbourne football club in the coming months and this is where if we do get a priority pick then Boyd is the way to go.

How about we wait and see if Dawes can even get on the park and string a few games before we even elevate him to captain. His main issue is getting his body right.

I remember him. Came to the club at pick 15 and with big wraps All Australian center half forward captain of SA. Was ment to be our next full forward after Neitz.. but from what i remember Neale Daniher just wouldnt play him. Play in our last final game against freo in 2006. We had no ruck options as Jamar broke his foot the week before. He was seriously a massive unit and i do remember his VFL form was quite strong just wasnt given a go.

I think its fair to say this bloke will get the chop soon.

Don mclardy is going to release a statement in regards to his position as president this afternoon.
