CASEY: Rd 06 vs Williamstown
We didn't consider it for Adelaide game so we won't consider it for Carlton. We've never been a team to rest and manage players off the back of 5 day breaks. In saying all that I agree with you and would certainly like to bring in fresh players if need.

No because realistically the only change they would make is Bowey for Billings. You're not changing a team that's just knocked off the undefeated team unless you're getting your best players.

Same Walsh caught completely ball watching.. how infuriating as a Carlton supporter.- NON-MFC: Round 08
Zero defensive pressure on Daicos in that stoppage set up in that last score. Absolute coach killer. Tight game like that with a minute to go everyone who's played footy would know that the golden rule in that situation would be to go full lock down on your opponent and number up around stoppage. Turn the contest into a complete grind by not only chewing up as much seconds as you can but also gain as much metres forward as possible. Someone is going to cop it in the Monday team review..- PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong

- Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
Really is bizarre isn't.. Why on earth would we waste all our time and energy into one player (Maynard) on gameday where I'd much rather put all our focus and energy into winning the game itself. If you're purely going out there to headhunt certain individuals then you lose focus on the game itself. Since the Tom Bugg/Bernie Vince days we're not a team goes out to target certain opposition players. Goodys focus has always been about playing our brand and being humble whether that's winning or losing.- AFL Mid-Season Draft 2024
Ned Long and Jackson Hately are two mids that come to mind that could provide the depth for Brayshaw. They're both around the 191-193cm big bodied inside mids that are both winning some big numbers at VFL as we speak. Hately especially has the ability to play down back if need and that versatility.- CASEY: Rd 06 vs Williamstown
Look, I'm a Benny Brown fan but based on form at AFL and VFL last week going at goaless and 7 disposals he should not be anyway near AFL selection. I would even have Tom McDonald as my preference if it came down to needing a senior body up forward instead of Brown. But he's named emergency so what would I know..- CASEY: Rd 06 vs Williamstown
Why?- 2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Which is not a surprise at all. He's form isn't at level where I'm sure he'd like it to be. I do know he was told by the club at the end of last year that he's not guaranteed a spot on the list at all unless he improves the fundamentals of what the club has mapped out for him. Wouldn't be surprised if we do overlook him if he doesn't improve his form.- The Kalani White Thread
He's twin brothers are also handy up and coming footballers. Club are keeping an eye on already.- 2024 Free Agents
They had the pull of going back to their home state. The money was the icing on the cake especiallywith Jackson and potentiallyPetty. The pull was strong with those two. Weitering and Taylor don't in this case. Weitering is no way at all going to another Victorian club that is also contending for the flag when his own club is going through similar pathway. If you can name me the last big name player that went from one big contending team to another in Victoria then maybe, but it's an absolute rarity.- 2024 Free Agents
Considering both Weitering and Taylor are right in the Premiership window there is no reason why they will leave their perspective clubs. Weitering would be their next captain and Taylor is not only settled but plays at a footy club that plays a fast and exciting brad that clearly stands up in September. GWS are just scratching the surface.- Issac Cumming
Very good footballer and exactly the right fit in terms of outside skill set. Have always rated him highly.- Junior member clinic

Well hang on, this factually incorrect. Doesn't hurt to go back over time and see where other premiership teams and contenders have conceded huge amount of scores in games. Collingwood and Brisbane 2023 Geelong and Sydney 2022 Richmond 2017 Happy to add more if you'd like? These just small examples. What does this prove? Nothing.. Just because you're a contender doesn't mean you're vulnerable to conceding big scores. Sometimes it's a good thing to have games where you do concede big score because it gives you the opportunity to reassess your team defensive structure. Not even a bad thing if Carlton failed whatever test you're thinking of. Geelong are just a bloody good side with a strong offensive and forward structure. Simon Goodwin has been on record in stating this over the last few years.- Sam Van Rooyen in for Ben Brown on LTI?
Daniel Turner has filled that void just perfectly.- NON-MFC: Round 07
Can't help but admire bloody Geelong. After last year I thought they were going to start rebuild mode but not.. here we are again. Incredibly well drilled and disciplined as a team. They stick to their structure and back their system in and always number off around stoppages. Have enjoyed watching them this year.
