That's the exciting part, him coming back certainly gives us the run and dash we've missed and also strengthens our backline.

I never said to anyone they did a [censored] job at reporting training. I actually asked a footy related question if you go back to my post which was, were there any noticeable changes regarding player changes and that's it. I understand why people get frustrated because some do come in here purely for the footy content and have to scroll past the other stuff. I agree that people saying it's [censored] reporting is not acceptable, what I don't agree with is that very person getting personal with the name calling. It isn't a once off and she has a history of it when someone has disagreed with her in the slightest and yet continues to get away because the mods thinks its all a good joke.

I was calm and confident we would beat Geelong last week. This week I'm not so confident and that's purely off the back of a 5 day break and nothing else. Carlton have also brought in some solid ins and should not be underestimated. They've brought in Hollands after a week off who'll be fresh so this could really go down to the wire. It's good to have Bowey back. We've underestimated how important he is to our back half and how much of a loss he's been this year so far.

Yeah I didn't mind Deakyn to be honest. Actually surprised we didn't give him a go. The games I watched of him at VFL level he seemed consistent and I thought with him being a running defender he could have been a good one two punch alongside Bowey. He was also pretty composed and measured down back. I remember one of the games I watched he completely shut down Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti and i thought that was going to be the next step into AFL level. Won Casey's best and fairest last year but was unfortunately still delisted. Coaches obviously think very differently to us nuffy fans.

Disposal by foot isn't great for starters. They're obviously looking for a consistent performance from AMW. Whilst the stat sheet may look good on his behalf it's his ball use and lack of composure at times at VFL that stands out the most. In a high paced pressure environment at AFL level this simply doesn't stand up. Still think he's better use up forward.

Haha well said. So funny to watch people on here get triggered by Chris Scott, Dermie, SEN commentary and now the coaches votes. Very very sensitive bunch on here.. As you say, it was such an enjoyable win and I have even watched the replay just to go back and look at a few key moments in the game that I thought were big factors in winning the game. Big positive is having 5 players under 10 games and beating the undefeated team without the likes of Bowey, Salem and McAdam.

@KC from Casey Can you provide any further information on Roy George and the reasoning behind his inclusion to the team yesterday? I believe he is originally from Bunbury in WA and last played WAFL back in 2022. He's not a VFL listed player and is currently playing in the Central Highlands Football League in Victoria, so obviously I'm guessing Jason Taylor and Tim Lamb have played a role in getting him to VFL level to see how he can cope with the semi professional standard. Boy did he look good..

No coincidence that the two games Matthew Jefferson has hit the scoreboard and looked dangerous is when he's been the main forward target. I have no idea how they manage this moving forward but having Schache, Ben Brown and Tom Fullarton simply doesn't work for him.

That was my post on BF. A friend of mine down Melbourne was watching his young fella go up against Marley and he text me straight after the game saying the kid is a genuine freak. Kicked 6 goals playing as a half forward midfield. A lot of development still to go but the signs are good so far.

We didn't consider it for Adelaide game so we won't consider it for Carlton. We've never been a team to rest and manage players off the back of 5 day breaks. In saying all that I agree with you and would certainly like to bring in fresh players if need.

No because realistically the only change they would make is Bowey for Billings. You're not changing a team that's just knocked off the undefeated team unless you're getting your best players.
