  1. Hope they are extra cautious with Gus. Calfs can be one of the most frustrating and debilitating injuries going around. We have seen It ruin Chris Dawes career at the dees to Harley Bennell missing a whole year with it last year.
  2. Id like to get your view on Trengove as I'm a huge fan but fear that his pace will still hold him. So many times i have heard Saty say players like Grimes, Mckenzie look slick during pre season only to get caught out come match day. This is where my fear of of Trenners is at.
  3. Im telling you Declan and Tim Smith will surprise everyone this year. Keilty is one of the most impressive intercept marks i have seen for a long time. Remind me alot of McGovern from West Coast who also started as a rookie. Can also push forward and clunk a couple of big grabs and kicks goals. A genuinely good modern swingman to have.
  4. So.. Simon Goodwin was a good player hey?
  5. For someone that stands 191cm tall thats a decent size for a mid.
  6. I am also intrigued with Maynard. He is seriously a pretty solid unit already. Wonder what role we have for him at Casey.
  7. Really? 29.. Still has a good 4 years ahead of him. Happy Birthday Skip!
  8. To anyone who goes down today can i please can an update on Weideman is going? Hate to really put pressure on the kid but really hope he steps it up and plays 12-16. The Weideman Hogan is so important in the coming years for us to become a genuine premiership threat.
  9. Yep, missed that one.
  10. Anyone still remember Goody as a player? Looking through his record i was amazed that he was a.. 5x All Australian 3x Best and fairest winner 2x Premiership player 1x Pre season Premiership player and Michael Tuck medalist Retired in 2010, i felt maybe because he was playing interstate that he was underrated back in the Melbourne footy bubble. If he was playing for a big melbourne club then im sure we would have been all saying what a superstar he was. Remember watching a few adelaide games over the years and thinking what a gun he was. Always dominated against the Dees and was a hard player to stop when in full flight.
  11. Great article written by Jack himself. http://www.aflplayers.com.au/article/excitement-awaits-the-next-chapter-grimes/
  12. Averageing 25 disposal a game is elite numbers. I think your being a tad harsh saying he needs to average those numbers to make it when realistically he should be aiming for around the 20-22 mark as a midfielder/half forward. I can't see him being the full time midfielder we'd like him to be because we know he can take a grab up forward when resting. Personally id like to see him of a half back as i think his poise and calmness with the ball would be important for us down back.
  13. This is where i feel they made a huge mistake in passing up Petracca. Billings for me has been meh.. They don't have any up and coming midfielders that just scream future star like a Petracca Oliver or Viney.
  14. I think the saints are still slightly ahead but will eventually overtake them. Picking up Lewis and Hibberd has really bridged that gap. Their forward line is ahead of ours right at this minute. Even without Nick they still have a good spread of goalkickers in Bruce, Membrey, McCartin. To close the gap we need Weideman and Watts to go up a gear next year and really step up. Also my money is for Tim Smith to add an extra dynamic and x factor to our forward line. The midfield is now even for me. We add Jordan lewis while they add Koby Stevens and Jack Steele who could potentially have a Dom Tyson 2014 like impact. Kid is a gun. I expect Oliver Petracca Brayshaw and Viney to really take our midfield to the next level if. Felt we lacked real leadership in the midfield when we played them the 2nd time, Lewis will help this. They will have Jake Carlisle and Nathan Brown down there this year. Both are pretty handy defenders but also both have their deficiency .I'm sorry to say but Tom Mac disposal and decision-making was putrid last year. Hopefully he improves that. I have Frost ahead of O Mac whom im still bit iffy about. Frost foot skills can be pretty poor at times also. This is where i was very surprised we didn't go for another experience defender during the off season for depth as i still think we are still bit green down back. If Tommy Mac goes down then we have to rely on someone like a Keilty to team up with Frost and Oscar.. *Cringe*. I have a feeling Dees and saints will play finals together in 2017.
  15. 15 games at senior level and 10 games in the VFL. You really suck at this old dee..
  16. Good try Old dee but Kennedy averaged 17.3 disposals per game playing as a small forward with his highest a 29 disposal game against Collingwood. Thats more then Vandenberg, Garlett, Kent, Watts Hunt Brayshaw and few more who averaged lower then Kennedy.
  17. Spot on. And this is where i hope Trenners grabs his opportunity while Tyson is out. Play as that inside midfielder who can use the footy also on the outside with his precise foot skills. We already know hes a better mark then Dommy so he can also rest forward too.
  18. FMD have a cry Saty. Tissues? Its a discussion forum and il contribute with one word replies if i want to. And if you get 'tiresome' of the same old topic being discuss then maybe you shouldn't be writing on a footy forum where this happens everywhere. You cannot seem to grasp the reality that in a footy forum all issues regarding footy is discussed positive and negative.
  19. Jetta is my smokey for the leadership group. Wagner Salem and Oliver have raved on about Nev being a mentor to them and playing an important role in their development. Jetta will be one of Goodwins first picked each week. We can always rely on him to get the job done on Betts Wingard etc every year. He doesn't need to be flashy or quick, just get the job done with no fuss. He is every bit like Nick Smith from Sydney who is not skilled or quick but does his job every week.
  20. With Dom T being injured this is where i really hope Trenners grabs his opportunity with both hands. We forget that Jack's first 2 years he was regarded of one the best young player of the comp.
  21. Brilliant if true.
  22. Anyone notice old mate Sameal hasn't logged on to demonland since mid October last year? About the right time Viv was delisted. Knew it all along..#samealwasviv
  23. Im glad someone see this aswell. Made the comment that after watching his highlights he reminded me of a Stef Martin. Is very agile and quick and does alot of follow up work like a midfielder.
  24. Hulett has been given the all clear. Melbourne Demons forward Liam Hulett escapes serious ankle injury
