Changes: Rd 05 v St. Kilda
In regards to Weideman, he had his knee strapped which means he was hindered. And it showed at times. But he won some crucial one on ones in close and that goal at the end was clutch!

Changes: Rd 05 v St. Kilda
Agree. Josh was very good and i didn't see him make many if not any mistakes? Seems like he has worked on just keeping his game simple. When he was drafted he was known as a good ball user and i feel like with his confidence up, we are starting to see that now. I thought Corey gave us some spark in that 3rd term. He's also just played his 11 AFL game, so he is still quite inexperienced. Feel there is something to work with there with his ball use and speed. Hell if he is keeping ANB out of the side he is doing a great job in my eyes! I didn't think Stretch was that bad? Didn't make any mistakes from what i saw, and he did have a short turn around from Sunday. As @Jaded give him at least 4 weeks of game time. He showed against Freo last year that when he's up and going he adds a huge important element of spread and speed. While like he will play much better next week in the open space at the G.

POST GAME: Rd 04 vs Sydney
Absolute rubbish. The fact that he was still on his knees gasping for air while he was on the bench proved that he was still quite distressed after the hit. It would be a joke if Jones is not looked at! It was off the ball and Oliver wasn't even expecting. A dog act and not surprised by the tough faux style from Jones. He is soft as butter.

The Wagners
Yes In all seriousness ANB would have smashed us last night with his constant fumbles galore. Especially after it got dewy and greasy after half time.

POST GAME: Rd 04 vs Sydney
First time we have one the contested possession count this year. Hopefully this is the kick start we need. I was posting a little bit on here during the 1st half, at half time i decided to put my phone down and actually just watch the game with no distractions . Looks like i wont be posting on game day threads anymore.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
I honestly reckon he just got a stinger to the shoulder. Hopefully with a 10 day break he gets enough recovery in.

The Wagners
They are in the side right now because we have nothing else. They are depth yes. Give credit where credit is due. They were good tonight.
-
The Wagners
We are not going to have our best 22 each week. If we at least get honest efforts from either and contribute like they did tonight then they are doing their job.
-
The Wagners
Both have played 2 games in a row. Josh is much cleaner with the ball then i have ever seen him and Corey doesnt fumble and hits the contests hard. Hope they both keep this form up.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
The story of the night for me. 9 marks to go with his 20 disposals. I watched him against Box Hill and he was bloody ordinary. Completely different player tonight. Thanks for shoving it right back at me Hore!

Can we make it back from here? When do we call our season cooked?
I havent stuck a fork in us yet but i have already set the table ready to go. To be honest, it probably won't be a bad thing if this year is a write off for us. Here is my reason why: - Lever and May will be able to play some games out together towards the end of the year with then rolling into pre season fit and ready to do a whole summer of training together. Round 1 next year a fit May and Lever are ready to go. - We start pre season early and half our list wont need end of year surgeries. So the likes of Oliver, Viney, Jones, Melksham, Hannan, Harmes etc hit the ground running and complete a full pre season. - Potential early 1st round draft pick which we will hopefully use on a outside running gun midfielder. Need more depth in our midfield. - Hopefully an overhaul of our list. Clear deadwood the likes of Tim Smith, JKH, Keilty, Maynard who have just hung around too long for little impact. - Guys like Weideman and Fritsch will start next year close to the 50 game mark. Both huge talents who will be much better players next year. - Guys like Brayshaw, Harmes, Petracca Oliver, Salem will be closing in on 90 games start of next year also. Something to definitely work with for sure going into next year.

Dees honesty session.
Do yourself a favour and head over to the MFC website and have a watch.. But i agree completely with everything you have said. I know he had limited pre season, but this is where his leadership will be put to the test now with us not winning a game yet. Will he be the one to pull us out of this rut?
