Lever came on and immediately made an impact by taking a huge intercept mark. Only just the 1 disposal in the 2nd qtr, but he'll be enjoying just getting out there and having a run. Munro is a an idiot! Chandle kicked to him 30m out in front and the [censored] decided to try and play on around his fan and completely [censored] it up. That completely changed the momentum towards port favour. Wagner has been good also providing run and been clearn around the contest. Sparrow looks like he is doing a tagging job on Lang i think it is?

I think Jones actually ran in and got inyo Vardy?

I am a big fan of Petty and have been calling for him to come into the side earlier on. He is just someone where you just need to get games into. He showed glimpse of his strong intercepting marking and uses the ball extremely well. Once he starts to get some experince and comfortable at this level he will start to go for his marks instead of punching it like he did in the third when he could have just taken an uncontested mark. He'll play again next week.

Watching the replay right now and Tim Smith played a very valuable role on McGovern. Not only that, he provided a lead up target through CHF which opened up the space for McDonald and Hunt to roam in and out. But also got onto some really good lead up grabs and dish to our running players. Pity anout the concussion. I hope he is okay for next week because i feel like he give him a good string of games and ge could play an important role.

The Liam Ryan mark is a result of Fritsch [censored] poor defending who just coasted behind him as Ryan floated from the flank all the way in. Fritsch is not a defenders [censored]! All we are doing is ruining his development. Its either up forward/wing or Casey for me.

Viney has one way of playing and thats the crash and bash manic style which he tends to goe overboard with as theres time where he tries to just run through packs and gets done holding the ball. Needs to watch Joel Selwood and see how he got that balance right. In regards to leadership, i have never rated him as a leader. Just hasn't really cut it for me over the years. I seriously cringe when he gives media interviews, stutters and slurs and sometimes he makes completely no sense whatsoever. Go back to his press conference a couple of weeks ago or watch him in general on the podcast.. its like nails going down a chalkboard. You need someone who represents your club in the media eye and Jack sucks. Gawn for me is the one. I think Jones will step down at years end and in my opinion this title should be given to Gawn solely. Now if this bloke can get his body right and play good consistent chunk of games then Jake Lever will also make a very very good leader and potential future captain. Just oozes class in front of the camera and by all reports has all the future leadership traits of someone who's destined for this role.

Id give him 5 week stretch of senior footy. I reckon he will be the kind of player that will actually play better at AFL level rather then the VFL standard. Loved his game tonight

There are a lot of positives to take out of this game. The likes of Lockhart, Hore, Wagner, Smith, Baker and Petty were all impressive tonight. Hore intercept marking is just elite. Lockhart is so strong in the air and his ball use is impressive. Petty and Baker just need games under their belt now. More experience the better they'll get.

Petracca and the coaching staff need to some [censored] out.. there is a very talented footballer there who is just completely over thinking way too much.

Eddie McGuire is filthy on the non decision on the dangerous tackle on Smith.

Oh and Nathan Vardy is a [censored] GRUB!!!!
