Jay Clark article saying his old man is not well. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/melbourne/jesse-hogan-seen-smoking-during-music-festival-in-perth-while-serving-afl-suspension/news-story/a7dbce66a512121c4f3c62359fbe8f2d

I can see people's perspective on the humor side but when your serving a 2 match suspension from a dumb and stupidity act then its not a good look at all, especially when his team is busting their asses off to cover the loss for him and Lewis. As some have said if it was Jack Watts he would have copped an absolute roasting in the media. Its a [censored] poor effort from Hogan and i expect better from him. Im all for having a life outside of footy but jesus at least be smart with your decisions and actions. Don't care if he is smoking darts just do it at an appropriate time when there's no grubby scrubs taking snaps of you. Its no surprise to me though that this has come about. Jesse isn't exactly squeaky clean off field as some on here think he is.

2016 Player Review - # 33 Jake Spencer
dazzledavey36 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hopefully the making of Jake the footballer. Good luck Spence il back you in at all cost. All we want is a good old fashion hard contest. -
VFL report. Ruckman Jake Spencer seems the most logical replacement for the injured Max Gawn, who sustained a right hamstring injury against Geelong. Spencer lined up in Casey's final pre-season practice game and had 30 hit-outs, 12 touches and kicked a goal in the 31-point win. Casey coach Justin Plapp told AFL.com.au on Sunday that Spencer dominated the hit-outs and "was able to mark the ball really well around the ground". Plapp said defender Sam Frost looked a lot more comfortable in his second game back from a toe injury, as he continues to build match fitness. The Casey coach added omitted midfielder Angus Brayshaw (25 disposals) was clean by hand at ground level and "showed signs of what we need him to be doing contest to contest".

Having been through hamstring tears and strains myself usually it has taken me 4 to 6 weeks to get back and thats with a tear only. But because its tendon related thats potentially a 8 to 12 week stint unfortunately. Tendons are the level above tearing your hammy which no one wants. Think its time to giddy up Pencil..

After watching Freo closely last night i can say that this will be a danger game. Their midfield and outside run was far too strong for the doggies to handle. Their outside speed was what stood out in the Hill Bros x2 Crozier Walters and Weller. Sandilands is back to his best and Spencer will have a huge task. Id bring back Bugg and make him run with Stephen Hill or Walters. Has a huge tank and did the job on Sidebottom last year.

You seriously have no idea.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
dazzledavey36 replied to stevethemanjordan's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good post Palace. Said before that while Lever is a good young prospect his disposal by foot can actually be quite poor. Saw alot of adelaide games last year and some of his turnovers even without pressure were atrocious. Adelaide fans will say that while he is a decent prospect he needs to work on this area. I dont think Lever is what we need. We still need to continue to top up on midfield depth and a Ruckman/forward. I have enough confidence in Frost Smith Wagner Oscar and Hibberd to hold our backline together once they are all fit. -
Surprised no one mentioned Richmond. They looked pretty impressive with obviously Martin plus their zippy forwards. Mentioned couple of weeks ago that they could surprise this year if they keep going the way they are. Huge game in 2 weeks.

So just been reported that Bernie Vince could potentially miss a week with a toe injury. FMD we just can't get a clear run so far this year after coming off a year with barely any injuries

After today im starting to think that we are really missing Aaron VandenBerg. His hardness and tackling pressure up forward makes a huge difference plus also his ability to mark up forward and kick goals.
-
Ben Guthrie @BenGuthrie_ For those interested, Jake Spencer had around 30 hit-outs, 12 disposals and kicked a goal for Casey today.

Ins: Spencer Pedersen Kennedy Bugg Out: Gawn Weideman Hannan Harmes

Hammy

The Milkshake haters will be quite tonight. I thought he was quite good and used the footy well.
-
With Gawn out Spencer is an automatic inclusion. Hannan Weideman and Harmes are in the gun for me. Anyone know how our players went today??
-
We blew our chances and now we suffer the consequence. Btw i thought beside his howler Nibbler was good. Kent will rue those missed shots but jeez its good to have him back! He makes our forward half alot better. Shout out to Wattsy for battling on. Stretch and Petracca were quite solid and both played 4 quarter games.
-
And Weideman.
-
And your going to single out Kent only? [censored] poor.
-
No he has tried to actually create something. Hannan Weideman Harmes have been useless tonight.
-
Too many passengers tonight. The likes of Hannan and Weideman shouldn't have played today.
