  1. Yes and no Jacko. The reason why Jones is playing is because no one at VFL is exactly banging down the door to replace him. You don't want players playing just for the sake that they're younger and need games. I'd rather our players earning their spot instead of being gifted just for the sake of it. I would like to think the likes of Laurie, Bedford, Bowey can really play some significant football down at Casey to the point where they overtake Jones in the senior side.
  2. Maybe. As it stands our midfield aren't exactly clicking. So any midfield in the comp can get us. I'm pretty intrigued to see the blues tonight.
  3. He obviously sees their list being far more capable then ours at the time. What you may see, may be different to his own point of view. Personally I like the way Carlton are building their list. Just like Steven May picked Melbourne over Collingwood when deciding back at the 2018 trade period. What have we shown over the past years to say we've had success over Collingwood?
  4. Good luck. Got howled down last year when I said that Oliver was 100% assessing his options and the Carlton talk was real. We're Melbourne going to trade him if he requested a trade? No.. its laughable how many refuse to take the red and blue glasses off Oliver at the time was impatient and wants finals success and missing last year was nearly the final nail in the coffin. It a took a Goodwin and Yze chat to bring him back down a level. Having known Oliver since working with him at the Bushies, you start to make great connections with his family and close friends and that's where you hear the noise. I am not sure whether he is any close to re-signing or not, but if we get to the mid year bye and we aren't in the top 8 and he hasn't signed on then I'll be worried.
  5. I hope this now gives Brayshae the opportunity to spend more quality minutes as an inside midfielder.
  6. This would be my ins based on gut feeling. In: Viney, Melksham Out: Harmes Sparrow We know Goody is a fan of Melksham, and being on a quick deck we could use Melkshams clean kicking skills. Melksham has only played the 1 VFL game so they may just go with the one change being Viney for Harmes.
  7. @Lord Nev on the mark.
  8. Riley Beveridge on the AFL website going with the following changes: In: Viney, Melksham Out: Sparrow, Chandler No mention of Harmes so far. https://www.afl.com.au/news/568442/in-the-mix-r2-who-s-pushing-for-selection-who-s-under-the-pump-/amp
  9. Will be on SEN this arvo.
  10. Jesus christ I hate Melbourne supporters.. We've gone from questioning Clayton Oliver's worth in the team, to now wanting to trade Max Gawn. Who would have thought a win still brings the worse out in some.
  11. He's headed back to Perth.
  12. Well we have some that say that he's actually not that important of a player and can be replaceable (ridiculous really..) and some questioning whether they're willing to pay top dollar. Give him what he wants.
  13. They had former AFL player playing in their side if that's what you mean??
  14. I dont think anyone is questioning around the financial stuff, but more so his worth as a player. Personally if it was up to me he'd be the highest paid player on our list. That's how bloody good he is.
  15. Got us Max Gawn ?‍♂️
  16. This is why Hunt needs to stay in the side. While he had a disappointing game, he's the only one who can keep up with their smalls when they slingshot out the back. Jetta just needs to lock down on Higgins or Lonie and don't worry about getting a touch. He's got the smarts to use his body positioning and strength to at least keep up with them around the contests. Nick Smith who played at the Swans was a back pocket specialist who u had huge respect for. Played on the games best forwards in Betts, Rioli, Didak and would just completely shut them out of the game just due to his discipline style and body positioning. Wasn't quick either, but did the job.
  17. I think its quite evident that old mate Roost it doesn't watch saints games or has any idea that in the past Tim Membrey has absolutely owned us. Don't take him serious.
  18. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a huge god father offer from Carlton or Essendon.. Thinking Tom Scully/Tom Boyd deal like.
  19. Not surprised one bit. The Casey/Melbourne media department in keeping fans Informed around this stuff is an absolute debacle. I've seen country footy clubs post far more better content on their social media then our [censored] club.
  20. Yes and like most tall kids, they're fair way off. It's no issue, but supporters will need to be patient.
  21. Still a fair way off to be honest. But he just as much games into him as possible.
