GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Not confident at all. I think Port we'll get us in a close one.
-
Angus Brayshaw
um because its mandatory from the AFL that all AFL coaches do a press conference once a week.. You're looking very stupid here..

TEAMS: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Port Adelaide going in with the one ruckman. If we do not capitalise on this then you can almost shut up shop for the season. Can't stress how important our mids take advantage of Gawn this weekend.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Loving the 3 tall prototype forward set up we are going. Jackson could potentially get off the leash as well as Fritta also.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Well he did actually. Played down back for SA in the under 18 championships.

Why Fritsch?

New Deal Looms for Fritsch
Bizarre that there's actually supporters who legit think we shouldn't be giving contracts to talented players like Fritta. Can't wait until he hits the 80-100 game mark. I was filthy on him on the weekend for the 50. But there no doubting his talent that's for sure.

New Deal Looms for Fritsch
Its a 2 year deal Chell.... not like he's signing a big 600k 5 year deal. He's currently in our best 22 who's about to hit the 50 game mark. Makes perfect sense to me really. Still has a lot of development and improvement to go.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
The fact Goodwin acknowledged that Jetta had a responsibility to turn his head his body speaks enough for me. Again, so many are clouded by their red and blue blinkers on.

Scratch Match: Carlton vs Melbourne, Richmond & Essendon
Spargo, Sparrow and McDonald will be putting their hand up for selection going off that report.

The Oscar McDonald Appreciation Thread
This. I was surprised to see that Rivers was actually 188cm tall. Thought he was similar height to Salem. But he's got a lot of speed and power that he's already capable of AFL level. He also has enough experience heads down back to help guide him and educate throughout the game. I hope this is considered against Port.

Its Only A Matter Of Time
Or just simply give the ball back straight away when the umpires says so. Seriously people making excuses for the Fritsch 50 need to take your red and blue blinkers off. It didnt cost us the game, but it could have given us a far better chance to win if Bailey was still deep in the pocket and having to kick to a 50/50 contest.

Agree with this wholeheartedly. Still filthy on Fristch for pulling that [censored] off. I'm hoping Goodwin gave him an almighty serve. He needs to step up this weekend and repay the boys back.

Tom Marshall for them to miss 6 weeks with a thumb injury.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Brayshaw needs to be dropped plain and simple. It's either McDonald comes in or they go like for like and bring in Tomlinson who I also thought was stiff initially to be dropped. Plus he plays the wing role a lot more better then Gus.

Kozzie Pickett's no-stat highlights reel
Bevo was right all along when Clarko made those comments..

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
I honestly thought Tomlinson was stiff initially to be dropped. I'd be bringing him in this week for Gus who was worst on ground.

Kozzie Pickett's no-stat highlights reel
This year has brought on a new hatred for AFL as a sport with all the rule changing etc. After that Kozzie Pickett tackle that was deemed dangerous, I now just hate the game even more with a passion. If Melbourne decided to ever shut up shop for good ( not that it ever will) then I would easily be satisfied knowing i would never have to watch this sport again. Only thing keeping me going is watching my beloved Dees. The umpiring and rule changing is killing all enjoyment out of the game and its dying a slow death. Pity Gill cannot see that...

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
I'm a fan of fitting in all three of Weideman, Jackson and McDonald into our forward line.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
He's showing good signs for a KPF. I feel like with each game time, he will just get better. I've always been in the camp that we could always fit in Weideman, McDonald and Jackson in the one side. Bringing in McDonald means Jackson takes the 3rd tall defender and doesn't shoulder burden of taking a big body. For a guy that's near 200cm, he sure is agile!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
This. He'll only get better with each game and experience.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
Unfortunately I think that loss has cost us this year. We still need at least 6-7 wins and yet i just cannot see that happening. This has 2017 written all over again.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Yes Brayshaw was Worst on ground. Harmes was far behind him though. Trying to turn Harmes into a defender has unfortunately halted his development to a degree this year.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Not sure if you were watching the game tonight chell, but Harmes played a lot of game time in the middle, where as Gus played the whole game on the wing. Harmes was not far behind Brayshaw in being the worst player on the night. Continues to just give away stupid free kicks which cost momentum or give up a goal to the opposition. The blokes thinks he's Dustin Martin half the time and infuriats me that he has the gonads to always argue back with the umpire when he gets pinged holding the ball all the time.
