  1. They had a hard tag on Pickett.. had nothing to do with the wet.
  2. Has anyone noticed the likes of @Moonshadow and Ethan Tremblay ( who's changed his name to @AdiósAdióswhich I'm guessing he's left) don't post anymore? I too notice @Wiseblood hasn't been active since April, but see him on twitter a fair bit. Great characters who added a lot over the journey.
  3. Weid confirmed by Goodwin in his presser.
  4. Is he not delisted yet..?
  5. On form I agree. But he's certainly will be putting pressure very soon if he keeps up his form. There's things he's still got to work on and that's why I'd rather him ply his trade down at Casey. On talent alone he can be an absolute high quality AFL player in the next few years.
  6. Harsh. He's certainly showed a lot at VFL level and was mentioned by Alan Richardson as one of the best players in his North. Currently averaging 24 disposals per game mind you. This is on top of playing 0 football last year. There is no certainly no rush for him to be playing AFL anytime soon and I'm happy for him to be playing VFL for a while. His disposal by foot is right up there with Salem and I can certainly see him making an instant impact straight away when given that opportunity.
  7. It's positive for me. It's nothing against Jackson at all and I'm his number 1 fan! But the Weideman, McDonald and Brown trio is a seriously tantalising prospect to watch. Jackson can have a couple of weeks rest and refresh ready for a big 2nd half.
  8. @Yokozuna was on the money. Well done mate.
  9. He's got credits in the bank for just on this year alone. By bloody hell if he puts in another performance like that then I'd also seriously considering dropping him as well to send a message, because that was as lazy as a performance I've seen from a Melbourne player in a long time.
  10. Interesting. Will Hart is a 19 year old tall prospect at 195cm. Has played 3 NAB league games so far. It looks like the theme of the mid season draft for us will be depth for our defenders.
  11. Absolutely a huge factor. No coincidence we play the G better then I've seen in years. Probably since the Daniher days.
  12. In fairness I think this gets blown a bit out of proportion. And not single you out at all mate, but have seen a bit of commentary around this. He's currently going at 75% disposal efficiency. Right now he's ahead of Petracca, Oliver and Brayshaw who are all going at 58%, 69% and 69%. Doing alright is Jimmy.
  13. You look at some of the premership teams over the journey and they'll always have a good honest role player that is highly respected within the game because of their dogged determination and grit. I think of the likes of Brett Kirk, Dale Morris and Brad Sewell. Not flashy types but coaches rate them highly. I reckon Jimmy will be in that category in the next few years.
  14. Wouldn't hurt Jackson to have a rest for a week or two. Weideman is cherry ripe.
  15. Oh as Luke Darcy called him.. "Jordan Jones"
  16. My smoky tip for rising star this round.
  17. I saw behind the goal footage and Ben Brown gave Melksham a mouthful when he ignored his lead when he blazed away at goal for only for McDonald to spoil and lead to the Petracca goal. I'm glad Brown gave Melksham a spray because if it wasn't for the McDonald spoil, Sydney easily clear that away.
  18. I think this thread was meant to be initially funny.....
  19. I just saw the Ned McHenry crunch. To be honest I have no sympathy for the guy. I recall last year that at every opportunity behind play he was trying to snipe Gawn and was legit punching him when Gawn wasn't even watching or 60m away from play. Little thug got what he deserved.
  20. Just to add to that, the fact one of the top 4 clubs is already tagging a 19 year old in his 2nd year is an absolute credit to Kozzy to how influential he is already on the AFL comp.
  21. But he was available at our first pick and instead went for some unknown giraffe in Lochie Fillapovic.
  22. Harry Cunningham was playing a hard tag on him and played it well. This is something Kozzy will have to get use and I'm sure he would have got some real learning experience out of it.
  23. Collingwood were really close. I think it was only salary cap that may have stopped them. Ironically he's exactly what they're desperately needing.
