In 2017 Richmond got beaten by 2 points against a lowly Fremantle at the MCG. A few weeks later got thumped by a bottom 4 team in St Kilda by over 70 points. They went on to win the flag.

Is this game live streamed?

Umps got it wrong - need a please explain
dazzledavey36 replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
This. I'll add Steven May to that list who was absolutely lazy with his defensive efforts yesterday. Gave a rookie no respect and was more interested in spraying other blokes rather then lock down and get the game on our terms. -
IN: Brown, Sparrow, Salem, Jones OUT: Weideman, Melksham, Jetta, Jordon (managed) Fritsch is also under extreme pressure as well. Another ****ful performance like that and he's out. Melksham and Jetta being out is simple. Both are not only cooked, but burnt to the crisp. Having Melksham and Fritsch in the same forward line means we lose our manic forward pressure due to both being lazy in this area. If we're fair dinkum that's Jetta's last game in the red and blue. Next time it's Lockhart or Bowey. Weideman had a chance to stamp himself and he failed. I've lost patience with him. Ben Brown comes in because he plays the deck well, but also to releases McDonald and Jackson. Sparrow and Jones to come in and give us some extra midfield grunt and , especially as I don't think Viney will get up unfortunately. Reward Sparrows form and Jones to provide extra leadership and ball use going inside 50.

I too also think we are a chance against the doggies. For that to happen though we need to simply be really precise in nailing our game plan and bringing extraordinary pressure. Richmond showed that if you heap them significant amount of pressure they can fold like a deck of cards. Watching tonight, whilst the Doggies are a well oiled machine, St Kilda were [censored] woeful and had 0 pressure on them. This is why I'm praying Viney is ready next week. He is so relentless with his intensity and leadership around the stoppages. If not, at least bring Sparrow in to bring that manic tackling pressure .

See @spirit of norm smith this is exactly what I'm talking about. You've actually nailed it with this one. Witherden is the type of player who would have easily slotted into our side and make an instant impact With Salem out, Witherden would have been handy with his pin point and precise disposal across half back. We definitely missed out on a good opportunity here unfortunately.

Let me just say a big congratulations to Adelaide, who were really well coached tonight. I thought they put in massive amount of pressure and it resulted in simple little turnovers that proved costly. 2nd point, stop blaming the umpires. They did not cost us the game at all. The fact we were in a position late in the game that we needed to rely on a deliberate rule is imo is very concerning. We 16 points up with 3 minutes to go. We lost because we put ourselves in that position to lose. I'm putting the absolute heat on our senior players tonight. Some of the efforts and performance from so called senior heads and leadership was simply unacceptable. Steven May - possibly the worst games he's played for us. Played lazy football and gave no respect to a rookie in Thilthorp. Just wanted to play zone football all night. One thing also, stop spraying other blokes when you get beaten in a one on one contest. It is simply on you. Fritsch - My god is there a more softer footballer going around? Lazy and insipid. 0 defensive efforts. If we are fair dinkum as a club then he surely is under the microscope this week. Melksham - Simply bizarre he was playing in the first place. How the [censored] did he get selected on the back of being a medical sub? What does that say to the likes of Tom Sparrow who's busted his [censored] at AFL level with 2 games in a row of being BOG with an average of 30 disposals? What exactly does that send to not only Sparrow but the rest of the blokes doing the hard yards? Not only does Melksham do SFA, he's another who insipid with 0 defensive pressure. Harmes - One trick pony who dead set thinks his dusty. Honestly don't know what to make of him Jetta - Yeah look, commented pre game that I was concerned with this inclusion. Might as well just have played a witches hat. Adds legit nothing to our side anymore. Great servant but hopefully that's the last time we see him in red and blue. Stay at Casey and help develope our kids. Weideman - So disappointed. Running out of patience. If there was a time to really stake a claim and grab a game by the scruff of the neck then today would have been it. Gawn - Had good moments then had poor moments where I just face palmed. Maybe can the whole podcast for a few weeks and #positvelingers stuff and just focus on getting your form back, because he has simply been poor of late. I'm starting to notice signs of tiredness with Pickett, Rivers and Jordon. How we manage that Is up to the club. The positves for me were Petracca and Oliver. I thought while Lever was under immense pressure he was our best defender. Ed Langdon is proving what an absolute brilliant pick up he's been. Lesson for young kids who want to see what work rate is all about, grab yourself a few Langdon highlights and watch him work his [censored] off. I also thought Brayshaw on the other wing was good as well. The 3 keys players we missed today were Salem, Ben Brown and Jack Viney. I said this a few weeks ago, but the impact Brown has is huge for our forwards. He draws 2 defenders and.its no coincidence that when Brown was playing McDonald and Fritsch had career best games. Viney is the general around our stoppages and directs our set ups and stoppage clearences.Him being out has left a significant hole and it's been telling the last few weeks. Enough said by Salem. He is our barometer and just sets us up so well from half back. Please be back next week. Funny enough I wasn't angry about this loss because I think Adelaide played really well and I thought we'd win this comfortable. But what this shows is that there is no easy teams this year. Every win is so significant and I feel like this is exactly the lost we needed.

Josh Wagner was picked up in the national draft mate. You've missed the point I'm trying to make. The difference with Mitch Brown and Majak Daw was that they've shown to be really solid role players at AFL. Daw was considered All Australian half way through 2018 playing back and has also kicked 6 goals in a game playing up forward. Mitch Brown as well has already shown he can step in and make a decent contribution. They come in having already played solid AFL football and can impact straight away when needed. Matthew Ling has played 4 AFL games and averaged 7 disposals in those games One of his weaknesses as a junior was he was classed as more athlete then footballer and needed to work on his ball winning capabilities. All you're adding there is another Oskar Baker. Don't just add players just for the sake of it.

You got offended over that...??? How was that vitriol or offensive?
-
Steven May has been [censored] pathetic in defence. Getting towelled up by a rookie ffs.
-
It's mind blowing.. We haven't recruited club plodders since the Michie, Ben Newton and Aiden Riley era.. yet some think that it's still needs to be a thing with this footy club. Goodwin and co don't operate that way. List management have shown that we'll either go to the draft to get talent or stock up on established AFL talent.
-
I would have loved to have given Lockhart the opportunity. I love Jetta, but his lack of pace really exposes us down back with his lack of run as well.
-
[censored] huge loss is Salem. Hoping it's just being precautionary.
-
Currently averaging 16 disposals at VFL level. Not exactly big numbers as a midfielder mate.. I know you're big on looking at sub standard AFL players who contribute well at VFL level. But, gone are the days the Dees go just go for bit players mate. They chase blokes that we well established AFL players that can slot straight in and make a sudden impact like Lever, Langdon, May etc. List clogger would fit the term if we are looking at blokes like Matthew Ling.

I read on Facebook that hes actually one of the cameraman hence why he can be hears at every Adelaide game.

A brilliant article by Pete Ryan explaining a bit of background on Kozzy and where he's come from. Nice little cameo from Aaron Davey as well. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/exciting-times-why-kozzy-is-sparking-comparisons-to-cyril-20210519-p57t5u.html?fbclid=IwAR05C_e-9uc1L49sgwfiBbBHGUYLB3_u8EuesLEg5Y6qMmCB62hkccURZ0I

A kind of game where we go over there, get the job done and immediately focus on the doggies.
-
Would have loved to see Ben Brown play in perfect conditions.
-
He plays about 70% up forward and 30% chopping out in the ruck. Right now he plays more as a tall forward who pinch hits in the rucks.
-
Great insight into the pathway James has undertaken in getting to this level. https://www.aflplayers.com.au/news-feed/stories/jordons-defining-leap-towards-an-afl-career?fbclid=IwAR2ZwMns04Q8Kosw9krFEFc9QnmSIw0IrySzK9i9nAWsoxghHx6H2MRP7PM

Nathan Freeman has nominated. Unfortunately he is out this week with an injury.

I think Carlton are quietly just doing some work behind the scenes in regards to Cerra. I wouldn't be surprised if Richmond go hard as well. Need a replacement for Cotchin soon.

Argh.. How the [censored] does Melksham get in based on being a medical [censored] sub.
