  1. Whilst it's good to see Harmes back I honestly think Vandenberg is stiff. I thought his courageous act might have kept him but obviously not. I would have easily dropped Brayshaw for Harmes and kept Vanders at half forward where Brayshaw has been shifted too. Gus has honestly given us nothing for the past month and has had 0 influence on the team. Seriously needs to pull his finger out this weekend because he's getting a free run at it with some of his insipid efforts the past few weeks. The shifting around of Brayshaw is becoming one of the more perplexing scenarios going around.
  2. Whilst I agree yes, he was our number 1 player for pressure acts last week. Coaches love that [censored].
  3. Luke Jackson is very very lucky..

Doesn't need to. Clubs still use a stack a footage from this year and previous years throughout their junior career. Didn't last years draft prove that? Max Holmes was drafted inside the top 20 on the back of 1 NAB League game in 2019. Raw skinny athlete who had enough athletic potential in forcing Geelong to jump the que to get him.
  5. Seems keen to stay.
  6. I like that. In the past some teams have had to release assistant coaches during finals when they've won a senior coaching gig. I'd rather they stay then disrupt our playing group during September.
  7. Rich coming from Dermie the sniping [censored]
  8. All good and well to say we're flying if we win. We beat Port Adelaide and yet we dished up an extremely poor performance the week after? On recent form we could easily roll the Dogs and lose to GC and the Crows the week after.
  9. I watched on the Couch last night and I too thought those stats were damning. At a time where it's so crucial to get wins now and stay top 4, it's probably the worst time also in not being in good form. Some of the good premiership teams are usually now on a good run or timing their winning streak, yet we are struggling to beat a severely undermanned 17th team in the comp. I have some genuine concerns.
  10. Ugly stat unfortunately.
  11. He was rested. He'll play.
  12. Missed the sarcasm again?
  13. McDonald has been hit and miss this year. I'd have Salem and that's about it. I legit trust no one in our footy club. The more points then goals since Brisbane game speak for itself.
  14. They looked at his stats. 32 disposals looks good anywhere regardless how effective they are.
  15. It's all about the individual. They get sucked into the media hype and coaches votes from say the Port Adelaide game, and so then it's all about who can be the hero to get the Monday special mention. Look at the way Oliver carried on like a pork chop when Spargo takes that mark. You would never seen Selwood or Hodge carry on like he did. It looked like a teammate pulled him up on it and so they should. Even at half time when the camera panned to Oliver and Petracca and they are seen laughing and giggling inside the change rooms. I knew straight away then that this game was going to be close as initially thought. It's all mental. These blokes pick and choose when they want to show up and player footy on the back of 0 success.
  16. So true..
  17. I love watching Sydney. Such a hard discipline team and well structured line up. Watch the way Parker, Kennedy and Heeney operate around the ground. No Hollywood fans over the tap [censored]. They just get the job down and keep it simple. Oliver, Petracca and Viney are exact the opposite to these guys They are every chance to win it this year and I hope they do.
  18. Is Harmes only meant to miss the 1 week?
  19. Petracca and Oliver. It's all about who can be the hero on the day and get their names mentioned on AFL360 or On The Couch. Against bottom side they go away from team first, and go into individual mode.
  20. Silly comment. Watched the replay, Petty didn't 'flumped' on the ball. The Hawks player jumped on Petty then dragged it into Petty and held it in there. The dumbass umpire got sucked in by it. Petty was just about BOG and took several crucial marks while Lever and May were both ordinary.
  21. Petty and Spargo were BOG for me. The rest was daylight.
  22. Not sure if his teammates would agree with this.
  23. I agree. We've pretty much had the same side all year with a few tinkering here and there. I think it's time for Rivers and Jackson to have a spell. Jackson is giving us nothing up forward and even around the ground he's been limited. I'd like to see Jake Bowey get rewarded for his consistent form down back. Coming in at the expense of Rivers. Do we look at Weideman/Daw for Jackson or do we go the smaller option in Melksham?
