Have you enjoyed season 2022?
Sort of/not really.. It was great to win the 10 games in the row but I suppose they weren't exciting games to watch to be honest. Maybe the St Kilda and Brisbane game were the two I enjoyed the most. Doggies round 1 was food also. I suppose after we won the granny I thought we would be like Hawthorn, Geelong and Richmond in their heydays where they played such exciting brand of footy but also high scoring as well. Yeah I'm picky, I know... So many night games. Hate them. Cold miserable weather means supporters less incline to go. Living in the country 4 hours away has made attending games extremely difficult. Saturday or Sunday afternoon is the ideal slot imo. Nothing better then traditional time slot. Rolling team selection has been the biggest frustration. Goody's fascination for sticking with the same group of players over and over again when they haven't proven at AFL level when given the opportunity. VFL team is 15-0 and yet we've barely rewarded blokes who are performing week in week out especially with our young talent. Disappointing.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
The whole announcing that you have re-signed on a podcast is seriously the most laughable thing I've seen written. How people have fallen for this is truly amazing. When a player signs a new contract, a club has to draft up a statement of confirmation. This statement is then released via club media having ticked off for approval from club stakeholders before release. The statement is also released via email to members, stakeholders and sponsors. This is called being professional. Announcing a major resigning on a podcast that's pre recorded is the complete opposite to go about it.

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Yep. I'll be relieved when that happens as you could tell from my reaction below.

Farewell Luke Jackson
All good mate, don't apologise. I think we're all frustrated, but it's the way it is unfortunately. Goody didn't exactly sound confident either in his press conference unfortunately.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Steven Armstrong was delisted and Jimmy Toumpas was forced out. Completely two different scenarios.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Goody would have a big say in managing loads. I'm fully aware that high performance do play a huge part on this yes final decisions are left up to them. But I'm not silly enough to think that Goody has at times probably overuled the high performance team during crucial stage in games. With this instance, I'm not sure leaving your number 1 key forward on the bench for so long was the right decision. Especially as he was in good form, yet we continued to bomb it on Fritsch's head and didn't even both to lower our eyes more with our forward entries.

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
I've been quite vocal for his inclusion for a few weeks now. Now watch us select Mitch Brown for this weekend.

- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Lol whoever said Gus was pretty much a done deal are kidding themselves after that interview. It's very CLEAR that playing more midfield is a high priority as part of his decision making. If that's the case then why do we continue to refuse to at least give him that opportunity. I'd much rather him in thr guys then Harmes or Sparrow.- Farewell Luke Jackson
That's not the point. The main point is that we gain absolutely zero by letting him walk to the PSD. How does that benefit the club?- Matthew Stokes on Melbourne
He's not wrong.- Farewell Luke Jackson
So we make our main competitors stronger and we walk away with absolutely nothing by walking to the PSD? I couldn't think of anything worse. There is zero gain from doing that.- Farewell Luke Jackson
No. In fact I think this comment is a bit of an overreaction SONS. In the 21 year period since Farmer has left we've lost, as you pointed out, 3 other players to back home. I think if anything that's a fantastic strike rate compared to the likes of Fremantle, Brisbane, GWS and Gold Coast. Cadman would be the dream get for me.- Forward Half Concerns
It's simply still not good enough imo. This is not just the 3 guys but the rest of our forward half.- Forward Half Concerns
Makes complete sense why they refuse to play Brown and Weid alongside each other. Is it too hard to ask for these blokes to at least show some sort of defensive pressure? No wonder teams are rebounding so easily from our back half without breaking a sweat.- Forward Half Concerns
Didn't add that part purely because while not ideal, it isn't as bad as the other two.- Farewell Luke Jackson
I don't think WC can trade that pick this year?- Forward Half Concerns
https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/horrific-demons-biggest-issue-which-could-ruin-their-season-revealed/news-story/de53a10fd2ff851d0da8edbe50cf25d7 Melbourne’s forward woes have been laid bare, with the revelation the club has three of the worst pressure ranking players in their attack end. The Demons have dropped from third in 2021 to dead last in 2022 in pressure ratings, according to Champion Data. The statistics showed Sam Weideman is ranked worst in the competition for forward pressure with teammate Ben Brown ranked second worst.- Welcome to Demonland: Kalani White
My understanding is that so far he's shown to be a high end talent. Still a lot of water to go under the bridge until draft time, but from what one our development coaches told me today (Murray Bushrangers), he played a pretty impressive game yesterday in the ruck and was jumping all over his opponent in the ruck.- Welcome to Demonland: Kalani White
To keep everyone updated, Kalani White is currently representing Queensland in the under 15's National AFL Championships here in Lavington. The Queensland team played their first game against Victoria which Kalani played in and had another game against today against ACT. I was hoping to head down to the 1pm game today to watch but couldn't get out of a work meeting. Lavi is only a 10 minute drive from my area so I'm hoping to head down on Wednesday to watch against South Australia in the 10am game.- Our biggest issue is...
The ball movement in the first half was probably the best I've seen all year. For some unknown reason we went in preservation mode in the 2nd half and it showed out once again.- Demonstone's and Flaubert's English Grammar for Demonlanders 101
Where's Deeluded when you need him..- POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Being courageous and waiting for the easy ball is two completely different things.- Farewell Luke Jackson
I was dirty on Vines. That was a clear handball over the top which would have allowed Jacko to run in and steady up for a goal.- POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
