  1. JVR bears a remarkable resemblance to The Ox at the same age, both physically and skill-wise. We’ve got a beauty here
  2. Gawn - seemingly on holiday Brayshaw - prolific and brave Langdon - back to elite Oliver - 4 outstanding quarters Petracca - always looked dangerous Harmes - tough in close Spsrrow - used ball well Neal-Bullen - some important possessions McDonald - excellent first half Viney - excellent tagging game Pickett - exciting in bursts Spargo - excellent in bursts Brown - an effective target Lever - not always convincing Petty - confident and important Bowey - the tradition continues Jordan - excellent ball user May - almost perfect performance Hunt - quiet but effective Jackson - was rarely noticed Rivers - mopped up well Fritsch - continued quiet season
  3. Gawn - prolific as expected Oliver - everything seemed rushed Petracca - better second half Brayshaw - some important intercepts Viney - strong first half Jordon - not his best Brown - always a presence Bowey - cool under pressure Harmes - tough but flawed May - was surprisingly fumbly McDonald - did just enough Rivers - rarely imbued confidence Melksham - didn’t justify selection Dunstan - experience paid dividends Lever - seemingly under duress Bedford - some exciting involvement Weideman - played role adequately Spargo - rarely showed out Fritsch - another nothing game Langdon - hopefully not infected Hunt - excellent first quarter Smith - had limited impact Chandler - some late touches
  4. Gawn - continued his dominance Oliver - slow then prolific Langdon - never stopped running Sparrow - tough and reliable Bowey - wonderful second half Brayshaw - some important interceptions Rivers - solid and smart Neal- Bullen - better second half May - gotta love him Petracca - not as dominant Harmes - some useful involvement Dunstan - important tagging success Petty - tight and reliable Jordan - a quiet achiever Fritsch - ten minute game Spargo - possessions were important Hunt - a steady presence Jackson - just a game Brown - needed the run Weideman - lucky number three Pickett - did just enough Smith - courageous but iffy
  5. Obviously no comparison on ability ( yet ) but he bears a very strong resemblance to a young David Schwartz
  6. Emergency for seniors in event of last minute injury
  7. Gawn - perfect captain’s performance May - perfect backman’s performance Oliver - prolific when required Petracca - class and poise Viney - excellent connecting game Spargo - always looked dangerous Harmes - tough and influential Langdon - tireless running game Fritsch - took his chances Brayshaw - great second half Bowey - continues to impress Jordon - effective without fuss Jackson- creative on baller Neal-Bullen - impressive last quarter Sparrow - took his chances Rivers - safe and composed Pickett - the excitement returns Hunt - performed as required McDonald - an improved performance Weidemann - contested but limited Lever - was rarely required Petty - an exciting return
  8. Did enough, unimpressively
  9. Brayshaw - prolific and clean Oliver - best on ground Langdon - back to best Gawn - great second half Petracca - good not great Harmes - some isolated highlights Bowey - continues to excel Rivers - was generally safe Weideman - took his chances May - met his match Viney - some important connections Jordon - impressive first half Fritsch - quiet until last Jackson - held his own Hunt - good and evil Spargo - had limited involvement Sparrow - was rarely sighted Smith - limited but impressive Pickett - pressure was important Tomlinson - quiet but safe McDonald - needed more involvement Neal-Bullen - quiet until last
  10. Tom Scully says hi
  11. I normally don’t try to justify myself but in the case of Brayshaw’s analysis I will explain . I’ve marked him hard because his disposal by foot is regularly problematic, nothing more nothing less. And for those who think I have an agenda , he’s in my top 4 favourite players
  12. Petracca - 3 votes again Bowey - impressive 4 quarters Oliver - prolific and indefatigable Jackson - career best game Neal-Bullen - played his role May - was rarely bothered Viney - wonderful tagging game Tomlinson - safe and reliable Langdon - involved when necessary Brayshaw - had limited involvement Gawn - played second fiddle Sparrow - just a game Harmes - some important touches Rivers - will be better Pickett - exciting but limited Jordon - was rarely sighted Smith - continued good form Spargo - better second half McDonald - another underwhelming performance Brown - was well held Hunt - was a liability Fritsch - was rarely sighted
  13. Petracca - 4 quarter brilliance Viney - hard and important Oliver - seemingly different role Brayshaw - not his best Neal-Bullen - some vital intercepts Gawn - fit and imposing Brown - an important role Jordon - better second half Jackson - exciting in bursts Harmes - excellent tagging game Langdon - excellent first quarter May - great second half Fritsch - fifteen minute game Sparrow - was rarely noticed Spargo - excellent with ball Smith - seemingly no errors McDonald - genius positional change Hunt - quiet after first Bedford - some encouraging involvement Bowey - continued perfect record Tomlinson - slowish but effective Pickett - needed more involvement Salem - a huge loss
  14. Yes, it’s him…
  15. Yes, he DID deserve votes today, but I preferred the performance of the others
  16. Good question. I think Hibberd is expendable, so probably him
  17. I gave him votes today. he was very confident and used his athleticism and pace cleverly, and for the most part, productively
  18. Chandler was opportunistic , at best. Kicked 2 goals but was rarely sighted otherwise, though the same could be said for our other small forwards who tended to see more goals sailing over their heads from long distances
  19. My votes: 6- Salem 5 - Trac 4 - Oliver 3 - Gawn 2 - May 1 - Smith
  20. Overcast, but unusually still conditions at Casey this morning… the ground surface looks amazing
  21. Love your work❤️
  22. Gary Lyon as MC introduced Salem as the greatest ever number 3 for the club, but immediately followed that with a ‘[censored]’ under his breath, that was evident to all. Like most of the others who attended, I found the entire post replay presentation moving and exciting. I think I’ve watched the replay too many times and couldn’t get overwhelmed again. Robbo and band were surprisingly outstanding in my opinion, whilst the ‘relay’ of ex players with trophy in hands was a wonderful touch. It was an almost surreal experience to be amongst so many like-minded Dees’ supporters, and I truly believe a Demon juggernaut has been released.
  23. ❤️Who needs a marketing department?
  24. Ross Dillon was my first ever Demon hero, closely followed by Robbo, so I love the number. Apart from Jurrah, there’s not much else on the list to get excited about, though in saying that , obviously Rivers is going to rewrite the history of #24
  25. Ok, sorry. if you’d like to PM me I’ll forward details
