  1. Can anyone please advise where training is tomorrow.. I’m too lazy to trawl through the training thread
  2. Yes, I noticed his finer shape and no bandages. he may very well be the surprise packet of the preseason
  3. I might be late to the table with these comments but I definitely see a striking similarity between Koltyn and one of the all time great Demons of the past in Alan Jakovich : Size, shape, mullet, goal kicking celebrations, and cockiness. We can only hope and pray that we’ve landed another potential superstar
  4. Pride. My daughter insisted he wasn’t there
  5. Was Clarrie present at this year’s Brownlow event?
  6. I feel dirty but I’ll learn to cope… I’ll be selling a heap of Collingwood memorabilia right through until preseason next year.
  7. one of the coaches this weekend fits that category
  8. Sparrow seemed to apologize to Walsh for forcing him into the fence and giving away a totally unnecessary and match defining free kick in the last quarter🙄
  9. Bowey - consistent and reliable Brayshaw - important midfield addition Brown - ruined by injury Chandler - failed with inconsistency Dunstan - couldn’t impress selectors Fritsch - needed more impact Gawn -our outstanding leader Grundy - a major disappointment Harmes - something went wrong Hibberd - gave his all Hunter - a welcome addition Jordon - limited, probably gone Langdon - an inconsistent year Laurie - didn’t take chance Lever - strong and composed May - powerful and consistent McDonald - had nothing left McVee - first year revelation Melksham - turned back clock Neal-Bullen - consistent, not outstanding Oliver - great until injury Petracca - a consistent dynamo Petty - cause for optimism Pickett - disappointingly limited output Rivers - exciting times ahead Salem - a poor season Schache - had limited opportunities Smith - versatile and involved Spargo - probably went backwards Sparrow - tough and uncompromising Tomlinson - had his moments Turner - certainly looks promising van Rooyen - more strength required Viney - great until finals Woewodin - deserved more opportunities
  10. Gawn - overwhelmed and outplayed Viney - disappointing and careless Petracca - couldn’t lift team Oliver - disposals regularly amateurish May - dominated his opponent Salem - tentative and loose Rivers - lacked expected drive Langdon - continued disappointing year McVee - calm under pressure Pickett - hard to rate Lever - controlled the defense Spargo - some deft touches Chandler - little impact again Fritsch - just some cameos McDonald - couldn’t justify selection Neal-Bullen - seemingly no role Tomlinson - effective albeit loose Bowey - poor under pressure Hunter - couldn’t provide connection Smith - provided some energy Jordan - had no influence Sparrow - an almost game
  11. Get stuffed
  12. Unfortunately the local Balinese commentators weren’t available for the telecast
  13. I’m not sure if this has been mentioned earlier here but both Patrick Dangerfield and Jason Dunstall incredulously protested in the SEN coverage, of Maynard’s innocence, and the former insisted it was in fact Angus’s duty of care to protect himself! 😱
  14. Gawn - an Herculean effort Viney - quiet after first Petracca - amazing second half Oliver - many irrelevant possessions May - passion and heart Lever - had little input Bowey - an important game Rivers - was surprisingly quiet Salem - slow and loose McVee - often out positioned Smith - had limited opportunities McDonald - needed more involvement vanRooyen - will be suspended Fritsch - still wearing moonboot Pickett - an almost game Neal-Bullen - was rarely sighted Sparrow - better second half Chandler - little to praise Hunter - slow decision making Hibberd - slow but tight Laurie - was seemingly overwhelmed Langdon - better second half
  15. Smith to CHF and TMac to back pocket
  16. Turned up for buffet breakfast this morning at The Maya in Sanur, Bali, resplendent in my sleeveless Dees’ top, and was immediately greeted by 2 calls of ‘Go Dees’ 💪
  17. Lying by the pool in Sanur, Bali.. 32c and nothing different is forecast for the whole week. A tough life but someone has to prop up the economy here
  18. Josh Schache says hello
  19. Nothing more certain: if Max wins the bog we win the flag
  20. I was able to stream the game from Bali, so I’m here after all Gawn - surprisingly didn’t dominate Viney - gutsy 4 quarters Fritsch - walks on water Petracca - outstanding second half Oliver - gradually finding touch Brayshaw - excellent tagging game Sparrow - in and under Neal-Bullen - season best game May - great work ethic Rivers - versatile and courageous McVee - quietly destroys opponents Bowie - courage and presence vanRooyen - did just enough Chandler - on shaky ground Pickett - some minor cameos Melksham - excellent until injury Lever - reliable and committed Turner - impressive under pressure Laurie - had little impact Salem - timing is awry Hunter - disposal was problematic Langdon - impressive second half Smith - an almost game
  21. Sorry to say that I won’t be able to provide any analysis this weekend because I’ll be on a flight to Bali . Yes I know it’s very inconsiderate of me, and obviously it’s music to the ears of many, but now is the opportunity for any budding 3 worder trainees to give it a go and open up a whole new career path.. for a week. And in the immortal 3 words of Arnie Shwarzenegger… I’ll be back
  22. Gawn - lowered his colours Viney - great first half Rivers - another outstanding game Bowey - some handling errors May - all Australian form Lever - impassable all game Salem - not his best McVee - skills to admire Laurie - shalom, farewell, sayonara Smith - athleticism a weapon Shache - didn’t aid cause Oliver - gradually warmed up Petracca - had minimal impact Pickett - little involvement again Chandler - played little part Brayshaw - better disposal today Sparrow - an important contributor Neil - Bullen - had some moments van Rooyen- team first ethic Melksham - three excellent quarters Hunter - disposal was disappointing Langdon - dangerous in bursts Tomlinson - was rarely required
  23. Gawn - dominated in centre Viney - total workhorse again Petracca - classy and important May - dominated opponent again Salem - some terrible decisions Brayshaw - focused and impressive Oliver - some costly errors Rivers - was classy again Lever - one dimensional game Chandler - was rarely sighted Pickett - another blockbuster disappointment McVee - a smooth mover Neal-Bullen - needed more involvement Grundy - no second efforts Smith - only a substitute Jordon - loose and limited van Rooyen - absent when needed Hunter - better second half Hibberd - made no difference Langdon - has slowed down Sparrow - the junior Viney Bowey - too many fumbles Melksham - had little impact
  24. I despise ‘Tex’ Walker for a myriad of reasons but I’d love him ruling the roost in our forward line
  25. Gawn - not as dominant Viney - 4 consistent quarters Petracca - Brownlow favourite again May - destroyed form opponent Lever - great after first Salem - better second half Langdon - important after first Melksham - an almost game vanRooyen - important one percenters Rivers - continued stellar season Bowey - ultimate team focus Hibberd - determined and effective McVee - was rarely sighted Neal-Bullen - impressive team game Smith - versatility is valuable Petty - excellent until injured Chandler - consistent and dangerous Sparrow - typical Sparrow game Jordon - a valuable connector Brayshaw - an excellent distributor Harmes - little to commend Hunter - was surprisingly quiet Pickett - ever the entertainer
