  1. Body language of Viney from the B&F suggests to me that his heart’s not with the club.
  2. Baker - eventually showed promise Bedford - failed to impress Bennell - probably blown it Brayshaw - seemingly without commitment Brown - deserves contract extension Fritsch - important despite innacuracy Gawn - consistently high standards Hannan - inconsistency was consistent Harmes - a poor year Hibberd - outstanding when fit Hunt - position a dilemma Jackson - cause for excitement Jetta - definitely fallen away Jones - bow out gracefully Langdon - year’s best recruit Lever - regularly justified salary Lockhart - courageous but limited May - an outstanding season O. McDonald - has many limitations T. McDonald - was obviously encumbered Melksham - rarely stood out Neal-Bullen - mostly a plodder Oliver - performed as expected Petracca - joined the elite Pickett - exciting but limited Preuss - unlikely displayed enough Rivers - very impressive debut Salem - reliable and consistent Smith - tried but lacking Spargo - needs more involvement Sparrow - promising , needs development Tomlinson - improved towards end vandenBerg - tough but limited Viney - prolific but wasteful J.Wagner - played little part Weideman - a major disappointment
  3. Brown - played his part Fritsch - dangerous but frustrating
  4. Gawn - controlled the game Hibberd - rarely imbued confidence May - continued impressive season Smith - not the answer Salem - prolific and effective Lever - safe and important Tomlinson - reliable when involved Langdon - prolific and reliable Oliver - great first half Petracca - played as expected Viney - refused first options Baker - better each game vandenBerg - far from convincing Hunt - took his chances Rivers - some important touches Neal-Bullen - added very little Weideman - continued to underperform Pickett - exciting but limited Melksham - improved his tan Spargo - tried but limited
  5. Gawn - dominated the centre Jetta - well off speed May - always exuded confidence Smith - quiet but effective Salem - great second half Lever - redeemed himself, just Oliver - quieter after ambush Langdon - fantastic last quarter Petracca - willed the win Rivers - must be nominated Spargo - surprisingly important role vandenBerg - not an onballer Baker - finally showed something Pickett - needed more involvement Brown - better than McDonald Melksham - little impact again Viney - take first options Fritsch - some important cameos Tomlinson - slow but effective Neal-Bullen - disappeared after first Hunt - disappeared after first Weideman - never really appeared
  6. Meh, I started following the Dees in 1965.. how do you think I feel??
  7. Gawn - our only winner Hibberd - was hardly sighted Viney - prolific without effect Petracca - tried but limited Oliver - few effective disposals Fritsch - some classy touches vandenBerg - little to commend Salem - tentative and slow Rivers - brave but limited Langdon - tried but restricted May - had little impact Melksham - continued to underperform Tomlinson - was rarely noticed Neal- Bullen - had no influence Baker - didn’t take chances Hunt - a nothing game Weideman - overrated and underperforming Bedford - just a kid Preuss - the experiment failed Pickett - Bambi in lights Smith - stuck to task Lever - limited skills exposed
  8. So when ( not if ) we lose tonight, what statement do we make at the selection table for our next game???‍♂️
  9. Normally I’d agree with your response to the three ‘experts’ but in reality, after watching the aforementioned discussion, I think they nailed it on the head. They used words like fickle, untrustworthy, flaky, mentally weak, and actually named Fritsch, and Salem, as prime examples, and the playing of an obviously injured Jones against Sydney as further evidence i personally had no argument with their cases
  10. Gawn - stood up outstandingly May - an elite performance Langdon - prolific and indefatigable Oliver - slightly off key Petracca - was the difference Salem - reliable and tight Rivers - calm and composed Hibberd - some important clearances Wagner - rarely looked confident Brown - important in fourth Brayshaw - continues to confound Tomlinson - jury is out Viney - couldn’t get going Melksham - continued disappointing season Jones - age has wearied Lever - reliable and effective Weideman - ten minute performance McDonald - slow , not terrible Spargo - little to commend vandenBerg - not a wingman Hannan - couldn’t justify inclusion Pickett - played little part
  11. Viney - disposal a concern Petracca - poor under pressure Brayshaw - had little influence Oliver - season worst game Fritsch - our only forward Hibberd - season worst game Lever - poor under pressure May - our only winner McDonald - tried but limited Weideman - too easily outmuscled Langdon - no heroics today Tomlinson - played without passion Melksham - no second efforts vandenBerg - was rarely noticed Pickett - had no impact Lockhart - enjoyed the sun Harmes - an irrelevant player Hannan - improved his tan Spargo - performed last week Sparrow - unsighted before injury Preuss - beaten by Beveridge Salem - slow and loose
  12. This analysis was the polar opposite to my weekly 3 worders , and was outstanding... great work
  13. Brayshaw - an important connector Salem - possessions finally effective Langdon - just keeps giving Petracca - excellent, not elite Oliver - prolific and vital May - a solid rock Fritsch - better second half Viney - normal bullocking performance Hibberd - continued solid form Preuss - was not disgraced Melksham - took his chances Lockhart - brave and smart vandenBerg - glad he’s ours Jones - cunning but slow Weideman - making an impact Harmes - disciplined team first Spargo - great first half Tomlinson - was rarely sighted Sparrow - better each game McDonald - fumbly but improving Lever - not his best Pickett - couldn’t get going
  14. Oliver - genius at work Petracca - continued outstanding season Brayshaw - enjoyed more involvement McDonald - played his part Langdon - an important connector Sparrow - was rarely sighted Fritsch - classy but wasteful Hibberd - important attacking defender Lever - outstanding all game Weideman - didn’t take chances Salem - was rarely required Pickett - ready to erupt Hannan - was great early Spargo - surprised us all vandenBerg - didn’t offer much Rivers - composed and promising Melksham - not captain material Jackson - some exciting involvements May - confident and important Jones - did just enough Tomlinson - provided some linkage Harmes - needs a rest
  15. How much longer will commentators ((Taylor, Russell ) keep claiming he’s an elite kick? He hasn’t been a consistently reliable kick for years
  16. Gawn - great under adversity Viney - dynamic and inspiring Oliver - season’s best game Lockhart - brave but loose May - outstanding all game Lever - safe despite harassment Petracca - dominated when required Salem - prolific but wasteful Jones - important last quarter Melksham - gradually got involved Fritsch - rarely sighted early Brayshaw - last quarter appearance Langdon - some important touches Weideman - took his chances Jackson - played important role Harmes - continued to disappoint Sparrow- brave but limited Hibberd - was rarely noticed Tomlinson - was rarely noticed Neal-Bullen - little to commend vandenBerg - had limited involvement Bennell - was hardly noticed
  17. No mucking around by Goodwin, and enough last chances. Brayshaw, Harmes, and T. McDonald, have exhausted their previous good records and MUST be dropped. Others like Fritsch, Weideman, Jackson, Pickett, Jones and O. McDonald still have some credits left , for various reasons, and should be given the benefit of the doubt for at least another week. As Bartlett alluded to, it’s time for the club to stand up and show it cares, and only select players who give a crap!
  18. I thought it was a last quarter sling tackle in the forward pocket
  19. We need to stop accepting poor decisions meekly and present outrage as Zorko, Cameron, Robinson, Andrews, and other Lions’ players did regularly yesterday. We present as angelic private schoolboys rather than imposing a... holes, and umpires aren’t intimidated by us!
  20. Actually Brisbane players slowed the game down cleverly a number of times when frees were awarded against them.
  21. Gawn - dominated without advantaging Viney - relentless and dynamic Oliver - outstanding but rushed Petracca - couldn’t maintain performance Salem - didn’t impose enough Langdon - kicking below par Jones - not a wingman May - a powerful performance Melksham - took his chances Lever - tight and reliable Harmes - performance from hell Lockhart - looked totally lost Hibberd - great first half Bennell - a liability today Brayshaw - continued disappointing season Weideman - promising but amateurish Fritsch - had no influence Jackson - some impressive touches Jetta - brave but expired McDonald - good until pressured Hannan - was barely there Pickett - was a liability
