  1. I inferred that the 4 clubs would then go on to play in the second week (in the other clubs' 'Round 1'), have a compensating bye in the following weeks, then go on to also be part of the mid-season bye arrangements ( meaning, for MFC. as we know, a 9-day break between 2 interstate trips...)
  2. I'm afraid not, Old. The women's games are worth 8 points
  3. And the only reason they can think of is that it pits Brodie against us. Sheesh.
  4. So the season gets longer by yet another week? Won't be any need for pre-season soon; Christmas Eve grand final, a split Christmas / New Year bye and on to the next season. A voracious appetite, has the AFL... Mind you, if it forced compression of the trade and draft period, that'd be a blessing...
  5. Not yours, Trigo; Closed Captions and a softly spoken (under great duress!) Tim Lamb. Lloyd Bridges: that's how to evolve a career! 🤣
  6. Glad to hear Daniher, Hipwood, etc are having skinfold problems, then (though not if it contributed to their GF loss...) Lamb actually said 'queue' but dear old 'Closed Captions' thought better...
  7. 😄 But tell us how you do feel, DG; don't be snaky. p.s. ZeroHangar has Dogs, GWS and North as the clubs having the fancies that might warrant it...er...him.
  8. Nice. And very pleased for Angus and those around him. (Though, 'someone'?!)
  9. Sorry if I've helped excite this response, Red. Just to be clear on my 'contribution', I was presenting others' statements, presenting a relative picture of 2 injuries, both stated as Lisfranc, one with known consequent timings and outcome, the other with as-yet-unknown such consequences, with no personal opinion expressed. @WalkingCivilWar can speak for herself on this. But her unique(?) connections do provide an insight of some worth. [p.s. I won't pretend MFCSS wasn't an evil angel on my shoulder as I strove to be straightly factual!]
  10. OK, so let's keep this thread motoring along with this: Tom McDonald's 2022 Lisfranc was assessed as 'low grade' (MFC - definitely). Harrison Petty's has been assessed as 'high grade' (MFC - apparently). This is at least relevant to plans, either from within current playing stocks or via trade and/or draft/s, for coverage for Harry for a period of time.
  11. ...which goes to my other 'update' question: what is Adelaide, not the media, actually saying?
  12. Couple of update questions: 1. What is Adelaide Football Club itself - not any media speculators or opinionators - currently saying? 2. How's Harry's hoof?
  13. Perth (2021) and Adelaide (? and ?) take offence! 🙃
  14. Well spotted, 31! Perhaps it should be retired, having (since Matthew Bate) adorned Mitch Clark, Chris Dawes, Jordan Lewis, Luke Jackson and Brodie Grundy!
  15. I think it's Kate Hore's turn again next week on the '5 goals' roster?
  16. Yep. See either the AFLW Fixture 2023 or Dr McClelland Trophy threads (which mods may now be merging)
  17. Mods @Demonland, this could be merged with the AFLW Fixture 2023 thread where there was analysis and discussion of this last week: bring it all together heading towards 'The Mill'! After this weekend's matches we remain atop the ladder. The top 4 all advance 8 points, leaving Melbourne half a game ahead of Brisbane, a game ahead of Collingwood and a game and a half ahead of Adelaide. Carlton now probably drops out of the race. Our percentage margin increases: Melbourne now 140.3, Brisbane 128.6, Collingwood 123.5, Adelaide 127.8
  18. Or perhaps 9 lives, Mono? A good few premierships there, then!
  19. A cunning plan, SA... And he'd be taken under Melky's wing, too? (apologies to Jake 😁)
  20. (Sometimes they just jump out, Will. Sorry 😏...) If it's in the #1 pick, take it!
  21. 1A, 1F, 2Ls, 1M, 1N, 2Os, 1R, 2Ts and a U, but no C. And even if he deed-polls 'James' into his apparently vacant middle name spot (see above), still none. As a 2-metre midget, he played guard, I believe. That's a position needing a bit of the third letter? p.s. Welcome, Tom!
  22. I believe the whole squad has travelled. Long flights not great for injuries. But the players are expertly managed.
  23. Same vein, but lighter, if I recall it correctly: 99 to a jealous Max: 'You're twice the spy 43 is, 86'
  24. Any goss on the Harri-string @WalkingCivilWar or anyone else? It's starting to seem a bit Oliveresque?😬
  25. Just keeping this one at the crease 😁 Got any more info, @Whispering_Jack?
