  1. Fail, me: meant 'Top-Of-De'
  2. Foreshadowing COVID contingencies, Walker? No worries for MFC, according to Max; 'Anyone, anywhere.'
  3. It's time for a pun-t, it seems! Top-Of-The. As to numbers, keep Brown.B. company? 51 & 52
  4. Great news. It's been the sort of career you want to go on forever! She's not unfamiliar with a flag or three, and she's evidently got an assured and interesting career ahead of her, so I imagine a motivation to go on is to be part of a flag that her teammates get.
  5. Max on RSN: "We fly out Thursday" As an afterthought to naming 5 NSW/Qld venues, "Optus Stadium"
  6. Sorry if this has been asked/answered elsewhere, but have the Lions been able to have a normal week of preparation while we have presumably been able to have next to none, which situation continues at least until we get to un-locked-down territory i.e., no earlier than tomorrow and possibly not until Friday?
  7. Again thanks, Dazzle. But I'm afraid I'm a failure there, too. I have a $50 Kayo voucher from my son, but when I went to redeem it on line with its million-digit code (and what's the story with that?!), anally checked and re-checked, it wasn't recognised. I have a short e-fuse, so Kayo remains out of reach then. For the time being...
  8. The 'high horse' was me, by the way - pejoratively, as in 'Get off your...' - not Stephen or Tom. With 3 face-palm reactions (though I'm not quite clear what these are saying...) I think I now regret revealing my feelings. Hurry up and be over, COVID.
  9. Having looked that up, I'll take that on the chin, Your Honour. I did try to be balanced, given my starting point of a perception, and I did want to focus on swinging arms. Fail, though?
  10. Thanks, Dazzle; yes I do, but being an old-fart non-Foxer and regional (i.e. sparrows-fart edition) paper-version paper reader, 'that' show was the first opportunity of visual reporting of Friday night's delightful outcome. My viewing was a one-off and, as per my original post, it shall remain that way!? And I did restrain from venting there (though I did own up to venting here!?) - I just asked. Also, my beefs were not about the actual non-reporting; they were that Jones falsely dangled a 'stay with us' hook and lied at the end that they had delivered. And I did acknowledge I was on that less-than-admirable (as in 'Get off your...) high horse' ?
  11. "It was an accident". This is another 'high horse' one for me. As I posted at the time, the direction and look in Hawkins's eyes indicated otherwise to me. Maybe the damage was not intended, but the action was, I believe. And with that intent came the risk of the damage. Unless you are very clear about its target and its impact, within fairness, the rules and safety, a swinging arm is not on. I'm glad May can see it (?) as he does; presuming Hawkins is the bloke May thinks he is, I'm thinking at least part of Hawkins's motivation to apologise was his recognition of a degree of malice in his action.
  12. I'm on such a high horse about this, I've just unprecedentedly messaged 3AW asking if Neil Mitchell is going to call Jones out for his disrespect of Melbourne (and Mitchell) (and their 'professions'...). Didn't ask for on-air response - wouldn't hear it anyway; not go-to radio for these 'Aunty' ears...
  13. Two hours of my life I won't get back. And an investment I will not make again. The worst thing was that, after receiving that text and assuring us that later in the show there would be the detail you referred to, Pickett, as he closed the show, Jones had the gall to say "The Melbourne game we covered in detail earlier", as if the assurance had been delivered on. An unashamed lie. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to vent...
  14. Erk! I'd lost track of how close it was! Thinking: like my earlier Hawks reference, Pies ain't no crowd puller atm either! Maybe shift QB to ASP? With the MND sliders too of course!
  15. Sorry; "shafted out of Queen's Birthday" / "no Queen's Birthday"? What have I missed?
  16. Sorry if this has been floated before, but any chance a later home game could be in ASP? We have Ess, GWS, Haw, WB, Adel remaining. Hawthorn perhaps? If they keep going the way they are, the MCG gate may be no bonanza...
  17. Came on here to say 'credit where credit is due', to find you'd got in first, DD. Rather has it all, I'm bound to concede - back-with-the-flight courage, air, angularity, and capped by a clutch goal. Cummon, Kozzie, you know what you've got to beat!
  18. Who's a clever one then?! Nice deviosity, RD
  19. Now we 'know' (?): Damo on Ch9 footy show, 'working the phones'... "It won't be in Alice, it'll most likely be in NSW, which had a game-free weekend"
  20. ...which was your original premise, Pates, and I agree ?; pointless otherwise.
  21. However, problem: Ch.7 unlikely to give up the Friday night 'blockbuster'. AND, worse, the same influence may want to chase the crowds; thus Carrara, to tap the Brisbane critical mass, may be the 'neutral' outcome?...
  22. ...and Brisbane has the bye.
  23. Just noticed: 'Footscray' ended our 13-game streak in 1956. Another little revenge...
  24. So, that was in May still. Per my earlier post, we passed 50k during May in the record year, so we're maybe still a little behind but let's see what happens on the last day in May on Monday after Friday night! Final membership numbers in the record year were as reported by the AFL in August so there's some time yet and let's see what a few more wins, and an increasing certainty of 'going deep into September' do ?
  25. The most unqualified, uneditorialisedVotes thread ever! I do believe Demonland thinks this was a pretty serious win...
