Sure I don’t disagree that he is better than those 3 more that he would still be relegated to being a roll player and would he be satisfied with that (my assumption would be no). Trac and Oliver both have a license to take the game on and leave there man while the rest of the team backs them up and does the dirty work, you can’t have to many doing that or the whole thing falls apart.
  2. Rosman needs to start getting opportunities next year to show what he has, similar to jack watts it’s time to get what we can for weid and go again, nothing to say we can’t get some underrated slightly mature player like Fritsch again with whatever we get in return.

Cerra might end up a good player but I find it hard to see where he fits in, Petracca and Oliver are clear 1 and 2, Viney isn’t going anywhere and is a solid 3rd mid, Harmes, Sparrow and Jordan are all fighting for whatever is left over, Cerra if he came would be fighting for those same minutes. If dogs and gws have shown anything over the last few years is you can have to many star mids, someone need to be the roll player and sacrifice there game which I’m not sure someone like Cerra would be happy to do, the former 3 are happy to do this every week.
  4. Smith is only 191cm only 3cm more than Hibberd, personally I don’t think smith is tall enough or strong enough to play on a kpp and he lacks the footy smarts to play on the mid and smaller fwds as we saw with Cameron the other week. I shudder to think how he would go vs Danger if he got isolated, I’d much prefer Hibberd even if he has lost a yard we only need to look back to his job on Martin earlier this year.
  5. Id have to find a spot for Aaron Davey, probably in place of Fritsch, Brad Greene fairly stiff to miss to.
  6. Brayshaw is a Melbourne (city) boy through and through there is no go home factor there. His parents are here his GF is from here, his mates are here, the only ppl not here are his brothers.
  7. Why would we trade him when he is contracted for another year and value can only increase. Crows would need to be paying massive overs, something like a mid first round pick given he was taken at 27 and shown himself to be at least capable.
  8. I think it’s more that reputations are earned in finals and anyone watching that game could see Oliver was on another level. If he keeps that up for 2 more games no one will ever question Oliver’s status as a genuine star again. I find it interesting that Petracca is now the sidekick in the way the media talks about them now.
  9. Think we scare them more, they couldn’t beat us down there after getting 44 up no chance they beat us after we have a week off in a neutral venue. No one wants to play us now in a straight up match as they know they can’t win.
  10. Well we have one player in Hibberd who has done the job on Cameron before, Smith was atrocious tonight and nothing I have seen this or any other week gives me any confidence he will do any better. I don’t care for who but he can’t be in the team next game. Second Tmac needs to go, I don’t care how good he was in the first half of this year he is cooked and a complete liability, I don’t care if it’s Melksham or Weid or anyone else you can name get him out of there. Between these 2 jokers we start 2 players down. If we make those 2 changes…
  11. Why does smith get a pass, his opponent single handedly kept lions in the game, the number of times he was out of position or caught ball watching is unacceptable, granted he was playing on a good player but given the lions supply Cameron should not have had anywhere near the influence he did. Smith should not been seen again this year after that performance
  12. Smith just not ready for this level of game yet
  13. I think it’s amazing bont and trac genuinely play pure on ball roles and have a level of productivity in front of goal that they can push out a full time fwd, in the past Danger and Martin would split there time fwd and mid to have his output. Still it would be good to have them named 1 and 2 mids next to Gawn as the premier followers they are but alas.
  14. What terrible teams, feel like we could beat either one
  15. Interesting when you look at Peter Wright this year his out out is on par with tmac, is there any other key fwds unable to get a game who are worth looking at.
  16. If we are to spend any capital going after some one it needs to be another key fwd. Tmac is back to his 2019/20 form post bye. Ben Brown looks extremely limited as a player. Jackson could be anything but I don’t see him as a main target fwd long term. Short term for next year I’d be getting Tex Walker in the door, because of his recent issue he would come basically free I’d imagine so nothing to loose there. Long term I’d be trying to get Ben King in the door post 2022, feel like he is almost certainly heading back to Melbourne, Tigers managed with Lynch in there flag window so no reason we couldn’t do the same.
  17. Wouldn’t be surprised if we start this game with an extra at the ball, I get a feeling Goodwin has been saving this all year as a bit of a shock and awe tactic if it works we can smash them round the ball and put them away early but if it fails revert to the extra behind play and grind it out. We tried this vs cats last week in the first half and it might have worked if we made more of our chances and cats didn’t have that run on late in the 2nd. But as we showed we can grind back from basically any deficit so it’s worth the gamble.
  18. I’d love if the followers line was Gawn, Oliver, Petracca all together
  19. Persist with tmac for another week, he won’t be the difference between winning and loosing anyway. Jordan in for Smith. Rivers is better back as that mid size than Smith anyway and Jordan brings more round the ground.
  20. King will be nice but May more important in the here and now, if we get even one flag and may is a big part of that it’s paid for itself and more. Lever no question we have already won that.
  21. At 24 he is only going to get better, scary to think. Has the potential to be the best of a generation.
  22. No one should ever doubt he bleeds red and blue.
  23. Only good thing is is happened tonight and not next week, maybe we got this out of our system, beat port and it’s like this never happened
  24. Need to just walk this one out and start preparing for next week, no point risking anything more on a lost cause. No point dwelling on this anymore cats just were on fire for 10 minutes. Won’t do it again if we play at some point and won’t be at gmhba
  25. Different type of game for dogs, didn’t think they could win in a low scoring contest
