  1. My concern is around the talk of how weak this year's draft is... Is the weakness in terms of talent or depth? As in - good talent high in the draft which then tapers off more rapidly than previous years?
  2. Regardless of how this deal works out - I'm happy that we got it done despite Howe's flip flop. Obviously targeting high selections this year.
  3. Obviously went early on this one, just repeating what was reported on Trade Radio, apologies. Testify.
  4. Looks like the Carlisle to St Kilda deal is going ahead. Likely to involve Saint's 2016 first round pick.
  5. Wallace is now intimating that Brisbane's list and overall position is better than ours and Warrior is really buying into this...
  6. Warrior is already talking Hoges out of contract scenarios. Saying he shouldn't sign under any circumstances until he sees the coaching management structure from 2017 onwards. Jog on, Warrior.
  7. "Another seven-win season in store (for 2016)"
  8. Very disappointed that the Howe to GCS deal fell through as it would have lined up Curnow to be picked up...
  9. "MFC are a difficult club to read - big fluctuations between their best and worst" Rates: Hogan, Brayshaw, Vince, Viney, Jones. The improvement of Gawn, McDonald has stepped up in 2015 and a fit Tyson, Kent and Vandenberg are key for 2016.
  10. FYI - Terry 'the list (a'hem) manager' Wallace is about to list 'manage' us on Trade Radio.
  11. It's not about where we're at halfway through trade period, it's where we're at at 2pm next Thursday that matters.
  12. "It's all just slipping away, and you're letting it happen!"
  13. On NAB Trade Radio: Jeremy Howe: "We were a fair way down the path with Gold Coast, but he's nominated Collingwood." Mahoney says flipping Gold Coast's pick 3 for the Dees' pick 6 had been on the table. "We'll start speaking to Collingwood now to see what a trade will look like". Jake Melksham: "We wanted to get the deal done, he was a guy we targeted at the start of Trade Period". Got him for pick 25 to Essendon. Ben Kennedy: "At this stage we see his trade being separate to Howe's deal." Dion Prestia: "He's a talented player and anyone who's out of contract and talented we'll target."
  14. Unequivocally Dawes is not part of any trade talk. (Unfortunate in the opinion of this scribe) Same goes for Watts - absolutely no talk aside from media speculation.
  15. Ongoing discussions with Toumpas' management and Port Adelaide regarding potential trade. Interestingly, JM said that if Toumpas stated that he wanted to stay at MFC they would be keen to keep him - sounds like he wants out too...
  16. Sounded pretty non-commital. Low 1st or high second round pick was my read...
  17. Josh Mahoney is about to be on SEN. Most likely going on trumpet the merits of the Melksham deal; Hopefully Ox actually gives him a bit of a grilling about the Howe for steak knives Kennedy plus a pick deal.
  18. This is the 'commentator' who on Sports Today several weeks ago took calls on the subject of eradicating the bounce from the game completely (in favour of throwing the ball up) in order to encourage more female umpires to the game. His logic being that the art of the centre bounce is beyond the strength and coordination of any potential female umpires. [censored].
  19. 4 down to 3. An enforced holiday won't be the worst thing - every cloud. Richmond could get real ugly though.
  20. Well...who'd have thunk it - even only a month or so ago.........
  21. Well, everyone except Darren Jolly it would seem.....................
  22. Neeld: "We just couldn't match the body strength of Gold Coast"
  23. Neeld: "We just couldn't match the body strength of Gold Coast" If only a few months, someone had told me this is where we would be at - I would've eaten my hat!
  24. Neeld press conference is being replayed in full on SEN right now!
  25. Neeld press conference is live in SEN right now!
